1st Snowfall
Who: Everyone
Where: Everywhere
Summary: The first snowfall of the year!
Warning: Only if you hate snow and fun
After the (mostly) harmless chaos of Halloween, the city lies dormant for a few days in the aftermath. Otherworldly quests, demonic pranks, and of course, the continued threat of the 13th Hour has no doubt worn down both citizens and Visitors alike. It's time for a bit of R&R and good old fashioned fun. Early the morning of November 4th, the first snowflakes begin to drift gently to the ground as the weather eases gently into the winter months...
By the time the city awakens, a light dusting of snow already lies upon the streets. Responsible citizens emerge to shovel the walkways, but it's soon evident that their efforts are of little use. The snowstorm, though not fierce, continues unabated throughout the day and by early afternoon, a good foot of snow covers Hinoto-Ri. Most have given up on accomplishing anything useful, preferring to wait out the storm, and the majority of shops and businesses unceremoniously remain closed.
The weather clears enough by 2PM to become the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a day off. Laughing children emerge to hold snowball fights in the middle of the streets, snowmen and sleds appear all over Capricorn, and the general atmosphere is congenial, relaxed, and soothing. Feel free to participate in the games or simply to sit with your friends by a cozy fire, playing board games or reading books or drinking a mug of cocoa. If you're particularly altruistic, you may even get a jump start on shoveling off the streets. The first snowfall is always a magical time of year. You almost can't help the feeling that it's... too peaceful.

"Soldiers are rare, in this place."

Sarah drops the salute as Cerberus nods and considers the name that was given to her.
"Cerberus...the guardian of Hell?"
When most of the things you fight are named after gods and demons studying the myths of the old world is just common sense.

Sarah pauses briefly before continuing.
"...Fenrir is the chained wolf. As long as it stays bound, the world will not end."
Which is fine symbolism for the company that controls the God Eaters, although slightly creepy if you consider it was originally a pharmaceutical company.
no subject
Though what he means by that, she likely can't figure out.

"Unless you're significantly more gene-modded than I am, I assume Cerberus is your combat name?"

He removes his helmet, and shows his face, rough hewn and craggy, though somehow blunt, almost equine. He is far taller than a human, at some 8 feet, and his armor gives him the appearance of probably weighing about a half ton (which would be correct). To most mortals he might appear handsome, crowned in blond hair that is almost silver, but he is scarred, scarred and battered, and his eyes are very flat.

"...you're at least as modified as I am, but you don't appear to be vat-grown."
She salutes once again, this time using the arm bearing the large red bracer.
"It's an honor to meet you, Sir."
no subject
"I'm not vat-grown, I was born a normal human, my modification was done when I was a youth and involved implantation of a number of organs and other forms of enhancement, both genetic and cybernetic."
no subject
"I was 18 when I received my modifications, which is at the far end of the viable timeframe."
She regards the crimson bracer on her wrist.
"This is my only cybernetic implant...it connects directly to my nerves and prevents my mods from destroying me from the inside."
no subject
"You're new, then." He says, more of a statement than a question, really.
no subject
Slight pause.
"If you mean my actual age, I'll be 22 in three months."
no subject
To him, that was really the extent of it, and when mentioning the medical quarantine he shrugs.
"Seems like a reasonable precaution."
"Ah, I'm somewhere in the realm of 200 years old, myself."
no subject
"...two...hundred?"
