Summary: The Ebon Triad is up to no good, and the Shining Trapezohedron has sent Visitors to stop them.
Warnings: Pokemon can get PRETTY DARK sometimes.

No matter what you were doing before, when the dazzling flash of light clears you find yourself at the base of a Ferris wheel in what seems to be an amusement park, a vague memory of someone asking 'Now, are you a boy? Or a girl?' running through your head.

Wherever you are, it's definitely not Hinoto-Ri. And just what are those strange creatures that everyone else seems to be taking for granted?

He sits down as well, tugging his robe so it lies flat. "There's a lot of weird creatures running around, though."

She takes it, and, although it takes her a little bit to find the scanning device, manages to get it.

"...It's a girl. Rustica it is!"

"No, no, it's fine. It's been months since that tournament, after all. Honestly I kind of wish I could forget it, it was kind of embarrasing how easily my partner and I lost."

Although really, it wasn't their fault. What can you do against the Force? But that was enough of that conversation thread. Back to bad guys.

"Well that's lucky. I apparently help stop someone like that back home later, and from what I heard from Haseo he was... er... is? a lot more persistent."

It still feels weird talking about Sakaki that way, though. And that's even before taking into account how weird language gets in the influence of non-linear temporal interactions.

"Yes! It seems like a really nice place though. Are you from around here?"

"So I have to fight it?"

She's a little doubtful. Pokemon are so cute, she doesn't want to hurt them.

"I'm eleven!"

Her tone suggests that she's a little affronted. It should be obvious that she isn't all that young. But she knows of people who lost more years than she's been alive in this whole de-aging thing.

She glances out the window briefly before replying.

"Yeah. Won't be long before you can see my house, actually."

"It's more like a friendly spar, really. Pokemon enjoy battles, so you don't have to worry about that."

[resipiscent]

"Oh, okay. Well, I'm six right now." He shrugs, shaking his head. "Honestly, though, you're not all that much younger than I was when I started all this adventuring stuff, so it's not a big deal."

"Mmhmm. I met one on the way here. It told me it was called 'Emolga', if that means anything." Riku shrugs, toeing the floor a little. "I wonder if they're all nice creatures, or if some of them are mean...?"

"I bet some of them aren't so nice. I'm used to fighting monsters in The World, but a lot of the things here don't seem very hostile."

Probably a good thing... even with how strong he is he doesn't want to aggro a bunch of high-level monsters.

"I didn't start 'adventuring' until I got to Hinoto-Ri. My parents wouldn't have let me get away with it back home."

Well as long as no one gets hurt, there's no reason to hesitate.

"I just have to prove that I'm tough, right? Well, let's go!

She rolls up her sleeves. This is just a step on the road to living up to Shizuo-ni-chan.

Akane leans over to get a better look, watching the ground drop out beneath them as the car climbs toward the top.

"Which one is it?"

"Burr!"

Oh hey a wild pokemon has appeared! It slams the wooden post it is hefting into the ground and takes up a crane stance on top of it.

"Timburr!"

[stringsmon]

"Right over there, the one with the pink roof."

She smiles a little at Akane's enthusiasm.

[M'gann smiles. Seeing Conner's salute helps to get rid of her worries. She calls him back into the Pokeball.]

He looked a bit hurt should we take him back to the Pokemon Center?

"Standard procedure, yeah! If you want, we can see what moves he knows afterwards, too."

Sasha & Tsukasa - Fennekin & Espurr

There's a small lane just behind the Pokecenter where the houses loom close together, and lurking in the shadows are a pair of strange, foreign Pokemon. The tiny Vulpix-like one is variously pointing at different passerby with one paw and yipping queries to its companion, who is rather more bipedal. The answer to these queries is always the same, however: a brief but intense stare followed by a shake of the head.

Something is certainly going on here.

He looked over where everyone was before walking there like he totally knew they had been there (he didn't know.)

"See? Michel's always right, babe!" Michel lies really badly.

[Tsukasa is wandering a bit, and he comes across the pair. ... Oh no, they're even cuter than the others...]

[He crouches down a bit.]

Are you two okay?

"Espurr! Purr purr purr!"

The Espurr's eyes do not widen, but there's a definite urgency to its cries. It turns to its companion and waves urgently at Tsukasa.

Michel, do you see the deadpan stare? The one that shows just how unimpressed Ruri is now? You're getting it.

"Lucky guess. Why did it look like you were going to wander outside of the city if you knew they were there? Anyways, we probably should wait till someone who knows where we are shows up."

"Aww!"

Her first reaction is to squeal because it's really cute, but then she remembers that she has to take this match seriously. She drops into a fighting stance, trying to pretend this was just like a sparring session in her martial arts class back home.

"Um... I mean, I accept your challenge!"

"Oh, how cute! My family has a really traditional sort of house. But I think if I ever have a house of my own, I'd like to paint it cute colors too."
