Gotta Catch 'Em All!

Summary: The Ebon Triad is up to no good, and the Shining Trapezohedron has sent Visitors to stop them.
Warnings: Pokemon can get PRETTY DARK sometimes.

No matter what you were doing before, when the dazzling flash of light clears you find yourself at the base of a Ferris wheel in what seems to be an amusement park, a vague memory of someone asking 'Now, are you a boy? Or a girl?' running through your head.

Wherever you are, it's definitely not Hinoto-Ri. And just what are those strange creatures that everyone else seems to be taking for granted?

Where...

There weren't any amusement parks in The World, or Hinoto-Ri.

This was rather confusing, but at least she wasn't wearing her Cleric outfit... or a child again. How would that have even worked for her?

Hmm. What's this building with all the neon lights on the outside?

The sign says Nimbasa City Former Gym.

...Former?

Huh. Then why does it look so... lively? Atoli will go in, if she can.

She can!

Inside, she will find that the 'former' gym contains a sprawling roller coaster circuit.

Somehow a building labeled "gym" with a roller coaster in it makes less sense than an amusement park with a gym in it.

Now if the building were labeled something else (like, say, "roller coaster", she'd be fine with it.)

Come to think of it, an indoor roller coaster was weird enough.

Although maybe just one ride wouldn't hurt...

It does not, in fact, hurt!

It is pretty dizzyingly fast, however.

Unfortunately, while Atoli has the impact resistance of a video game character, she is not immune to dizziness.

The car opens with her eyes still spinning.

A young man in a white suit smiles nostalgically at the sight of Atoli stumbling out of the car.

"Brings back memories, seeing that...don't move for a few seconds and you'll get better, miss."

"That's okay... I don't think I can do much else right now..."

After a few seconds she seems to have cleared up a bit, although she's still got her hand on her face.

Tsukasa blinks in surprise, but wanders down the road a bit. He realizes his outfit is a little weird right now, but he doesn't care much. The building he stops in front of makes him curious, though. Pokemon Musical? He heads inside, trying to figure out what's going on.

"First time on the famous Nimbasa Gym coasters, miss?"

"Well, yes. I'm from... well, nowhere close to here."

That was probably the best way to put it. They didn't need to know, right?

[stringsmon]

A large, burly man looks over at the entrance as Tsukasa enters and greets him enthusiastically.

"Ah, you're just in time, boy! Follow me, A Forest Stroll is about to start!"

And with that, he's leading Tsukasa off to an auditorium, just as the curtain starts to rise.

[stringsmon]

"Oh, I've been hearing about that! Kanto tour group, right? Word's all over town that you've got that famous actress Kotoha as your guide!"

[virtualbirdwatching]

"Um, sure. Let's go with that. I must have lost her somewhere." Whatever worked as a cover story... and hey, she is from Chiba, Kanto. And they have met, for a little bit.

...And sure, everyone was acting strange during Virgo but this explains the rest of Kotoha's acting strange. For that matter, you could take off the strange and it would still be accurate.

[stringsmon]

He smiles.

"Well, you can just take that car back to the entrance, turn right at the entrance, and just go straight until you see the building with the red roof. Everyone ends up at the Pokecenter eventually."

[virtualbirdwatching]

"Oh. Thank you."

She bows deeply, but is apprehensive of the prospect of riding the coaster again. Of course, there's not a lot she can do about that and gets back in the coaster car.

[stringsmon]

He waves a friendly goodbye as Atoli gets on the car.

She will find - once the nausea dies down - that he did, indeed, give her accurate directions.

[If you have to suddenly disappear, an amusement park is a pretty awesome place to reappear. So, rather than worried, Akane is looking at things from the bright side today.]

Wow~! It's so tall!

[She's gazing up at the ferris wheel excitedly.]

I wonder how much it costs to ride...

He opens his mouth to protest, but there's not going to be much use. He sits down and waits, curious.

... Oh no, they're cute. They're really cute. He can't help but clap along with the audience once they're done, a grin on his face.

When she gets to the conspicuous building and goes inside, she is pleased that she had not been played with. Her acquaintance probably wouldn't have enough influence to pressure people into doing nice things for people she knew...

...could he have just helped her out of geniune kindness?

Maybe.

Ruri gets out of the coaster and lets out a breath, starting for the red roofed building with her usual deadpan look.

"Hrm."

[stringsmon]

A woman with a guitar hears Akane as she passes by.

"S'free, kiddo. Just gotta find someone to go up with you."

[stringsmon]

The Hiker grins at Tsukasa as the audience files out of the auditorium.

"First musical?"
