Summary: The Ebon Triad is up to no good, and the Shining Trapezohedron has sent Visitors to stop them.

No matter what you were doing before, when the dazzling flash of light clears you find yourself at the base of a Ferris wheel in what seems to be an amusement park, a vague memory of someone asking 'Now, are you a boy? Or a girl?' running through your head.

Wherever you are, it's definitely not Hinoto-Ri. And just what are those strange creatures that everyone else seems to be taking for granted?

It's taken him forever, but he's finally found the Pokemon Center. Everything in this town fits the amusement park theme, and even the Pokemon Center's bright lights fit in well. He peeks in the door, then blinks. He isn't sure he knows any of these people by name, but... aren't they from Hinoto-Ri?

"Um..."

"Hello!"

Even though he wasn't strictly talking to her, Akane believes that it never hurts to be friendly. Besides, if he's from Hinoto-Ri too, then they're in this together. Whatever 'this' is anyway....

"Are you here for the meeting?"

[resipiscent]

"Meeting? Uh... everyone here is from Hinoto-Ri, right?" He feels like he might have seen her around. Maybe at one of the thousand festivals he's been to since arrival?

"I think so. I guess everyone's here to decide what to do next."

She offers a friendly smile.

"I'm Akane. What's your name?"

[resipiscent]

"Well, I'm Riku, but usually I'm a grownup, so..." He shuffles his feet, unsure how to explain that. "Well, you know how it is in Hinoto-Ri."

She nods.

"I know. I'm glad it didn't happen to me. I'd have been a baby or something."

[resipiscent]

"Heh. Maybe. Why, are you quite young?" Not that Riku himself is that old, but she's probably younger than him.

"I'm eleven!"

Her tone suggests that she's a little affronted. It should be obvious that she isn't all that young. But she knows of people who lost more years than she's been alive in this whole de-aging thing.

"Oh, okay. Well, I'm six right now." He shrugs, shaking his head. "Honestly, though, you're not all that much younger than I was when I started all this adventuring stuff, so it's not a big deal."

"I didn't start 'adventuring' until I got to Hinoto-Ri. My parents wouldn't have let me get away with it back home."

[resipiscent]

"Well... mine probably wouldn't have either. I kind of... things happened." It's a long story.

She smiles sympathetically.

"That's kind of how I felt when I got to Hinoto-Ri. I think I've done okay though."

[resipiscent]

"Good. I'm glad you're taking care of yourself. Sometimes it gets hard, you know?"

"Yeah..."

It definitely hasn't been easy, living on her own. But still...

"But when I got here, I decided that I was going to look after myself from now on. And to live honestly, so I can be proud of what I have."

It's important to her. She needs to prove to herself that she can break away from her family's business.

"That's good. Um, Akane, if you ever need anything, you can let me know, okay? I mean, I'm a kid right now, but normally I'm more useful." He's got all sorts of cool Keybearer powers, after all.

"Thanks!"

She smiles brightly, touched by the offer.

"But you know, I think kids can be just as useful as grown-ups."

"Well... I don't mean that, I guess. It sounded that way, though, huh? But I just mean, I can't really use my powers or anything, so..." Kids can be just as useful as grownups, after all.
