Who: Saionji Hiyoko and ANYONE WHO CAN'T RUN AWAY FAST ENOUGH
Where: Anywhere!
Summary: why would you ever give this shit a persona and let her run free during the 13th hour
When: 13th Hour
Warnings: Saionji's potential to swear and insult people (Saionji should be a warning in herself, tbh.)
[So. What did you expect to see today on the 13th Hour? Some muck left over from the Aries Boss Battle? Just another day hunting demons? Well... you might mistake her for a screaming demon at first, but when you come close enough, you can notice that the yelling is coming from a new Visitor.
Saionji's rushing down the road with a speed she shouldn't possess, howling incoherently and being chased by this thing. With her being half its size, she obviously doesn't stand too much of a chance.
You might also see her slip up and run right into dead end. Ah, fuck.]
...WAAAAAAH! Is this what Yomi is like?! SOMEONE HELP ME!
[Really a screeching harpy. As it backs her into a corner, though- it's about to swing its club down on her, before a big burst of light throws it off course for a moment. How convenient.]
I art thou... thou art I... dancer of Izumo and bringer of arts, I am Izumo-no-Okuni.
Attack it! Get that thing away from me!
[Best way to treat your Persona, Saionji.]

...Hm... okay, Okuni, look here! [And she looked swiftly over the two Personas. Hey, maybe she can do something now...
>Skill: Basic Analysis
And suddenly, Barn Owl Koppa Tengu's stats surfaced in her head. Whoa, what. Is everything semi-mechanized in here...? Are the fucking robots in her brain? That's kinda alarming.]
...Is your Persona weak to Lightning and strong against Water?
no subject
So it seemed that Saionji's Persona was a support one. It made sense now. ]
Yes, it is. [ The strategist nodded. ] Your Persona is a support-focused one, then. It's not as proficient in offense, though you won't be completely powerless.
Either way, you ought not to go out at night in the future. There are strong monsters about.
Shall we go to your residence?
no subject
Ehhhh? So I'm the Support character in this story?! How insulting! Who in their right minds would ever write me in this way? [Because obviously, life follows TVTropes. It's true. 8|
Rambling about story roles and character designs aside...] How lame... well, I would like to go home now.
[DON'T GET ANY FUNNY IDEAS AND FOLLOW HER IN THOUGH.] But does that mean everyone here knows everyone else's address?
no subject
Support Persona users aren't necessarily not important. Both aspects are vital in battle. [ With its healing skills, Koppa Tengu had saved his life quite a few times.
Takakage started heading in the direction of the nearest train station. ] Well, not really. The layout of the residences takes effort to find, but it is available on the network for those who can seek it out.
no subject
[And jeez... seriously? Welp.] Uwaaaah, that's so creepy! If any gross loli pedo gets a nasty idea, they can just look up the network and see where I live? How horrifying!
[She doesn't sound very horrified, though. She's gonna booby trap her apartment to oblivion.]

You can always lock the door. The police here are always ready to assist, but I suggest that you don't bother them for issues that are not of undue importance. [ They had a hard time even without Saionji's presumably insistent complaints. ]
If something happens to you, you can contact me. I'm willing to assist. [ Especially if Saionji's words were actual forecasts of future events. She was still a girl, after all. And since the strategist hadn't quite started looking like a full adult yet, that might excuse him from her category of miscreants. ]
no subject
[Mood whiplash, anyone? She is warming up to Takakage a bit, at least... she's not constantly wondering if he'll kill her? That's something!] Reeeally, Big Bro Kobayakawa? If you extend an offer like that to everyone, you'll just get flooded in socially obligated favors.
[Big Bro- whoa. Congrats, Takakage. That's your sign to run, far away, right now.] But do we have to live alone now?! They'll just force a little girl to have to fend for herself in a world full of demons? How cruel! Uuu...
delayed reply bc I was traveling
However, before he could reply, a different thought slithered through the net of his iron self-control and launched itself into the forefront of his mind.
Even a little girl can tell. You have faltered. As with many times before. Does your duty mean nothing to you?
With effort, he banished the black words back to where they came from. He was still strong enough to pass it off as a moment of contemplation, giving no hints to the coiled viper of despair that lay just beneath the surface, waiting to strike at any opening.
Shaking his head slightly to clear his thoughts, he responded a moment later. ]
As someone blessed with the ability to make a difference, not utilizing it would be a crime. [ A leader was one who served the people. Forcing the people to serve one's own petty desires was a corrupt transgression upon the holy oath of leadership. ]
Yes, you have to. [ Time to grow up, Saionji. Takakage isnt going to fall for this at all. Especially given how strict he would be with regards to the instruction of his nephew... you should count yourself lucky. ] Everyone chosen by Philemon can fend for themselves, and that includes you, too. [ He was careful to exclude any frustration or annoyance from his voice, keeping it calm yet firm. ] You'll be fine.
[ Plus, the idea of having to share a residence with someone of the opposite gender unnerved him. Privacy was something the strategist valued very highly. ]
poor takakage
Speaking of stories, you're sounding juuust like a lawful stupid protagonist, Big Bro Kobayakawa. [Considering he might actually be a figure from Japanese history...? Not too surprising, looking at the Warring States period. But Saionji still doesn't quite believe his story, so there's that.]
Or, you could be speaking like the protagonist's mentor, just before your plot-oriented death in order to give them motivation to fight! Kyahahah! [That got dark fast. She's interested, though... can she exploit him? Probably not a good idea to find out now. And jeez, does she really have to live by herself? But she can't cook so she'll always be eating ooooout.
8C]
Well, I'll keep you in mind then! And since everyone knows where everyone else lives, I'll just look up this 'Visitor' list and knock your door down if you don't pick up. [Whoops.] How rude, though, to pull us from our lives. We could've been busy!
[...She's half-thankful, actually. Murderisland is a bitch, and she's still 50% sure it's secretly Yomi.]
hahahhahs
Perhaps things would turn out better if you paid more attention to your words.
[ Respect is a necessary virtue, Saionji. Don't make Takakage drill it into you. ]
wow rude
[Rhetorical question. She knows he does. But... would it be really wise to insult him now? After all, this is a foreign world.
For now. For now, then. She'll watch her tongue.] Buuut, if you say so! I'll tone down my words a bit.
who's rude now
[ You really need to watch yourself, Saionji.
He was getting a little worried. But only a little. ]
takakage obviously
She would really lash out at that, but. Okay then.]
I'll just need to adapt, that's all. If you say everyone can live here alone just fine... then I'll certainly be alright! I am an SHSL, after all.
nah it's you
Her words piqued a little interest, though. ]
What is this... SHSL you speak of?
8(
Oh, yeah, you're from the past. [Here it comes...] SHSL means Super High School Level. In the future, the human population all over the world is interconnected through technology. There's a very prestigious school set up in Japan... a school is an organization for education.
[Simple enough?] That school is called Hope's Peak Academy, and only accepts those who have been scouted all over the world's population and found the single best individual in their respective fields! From sports, to arts, to fighting and to crimes... if you're the best at something, you'll be accepted in. There is one condition, though! You can only be at the high school education level.
[Anyway...] Those who are accepted into Hope's Peak are given the title 'SHSL Something', with that 'Something' being the one talent they were chosen exclusively for. I'm SHSL Classical Japanese Dancer! Buyo, to be specific.
Which could be why Izumo-no-Okuni is my Persona. She's a representation of my talent!
Too bad
It was an interesting system, though he could already foresee the elitism that would result. Philemon's decision to call someone of talent was logical, but for a girl specializing only in dancing?
'tis a little strange... ]
I see. [ His voice was now more gentle, yet still firm. ]
no subject
It's a miracle Saionji isn't more fazed that she should be. Maybe having someone to talk to helps.]
Is that aaaall you can say? Ah, well... you've probably met too many historical figures to be impressed by the arts. [You wanted Saionji to be nice? This is the nicest she can go.]
...So, which stop is it?
no subject
Ah, my apologies. I an quite fatigued, it seems. [ He gave her a respectful nod. ] It would be an honour to know someone as talented as you. The arts did not have much chance to flourish in my times. The land is still in turmoil.
[ He glanced up at the train display. ]
The Libra Ward apartments should be at the next stop.
no subject
[And- oh. There it is. The train screeches to a halt, and Saionji remembers (yet again!) that she always hated public transport. GRABS ONTO THE POLE BECAUSE THE HANGING SUPPORT IS TOO HIGH UP...]
Finally, I can get some sleep! Being so stressed is terrible for a dancer like me. [So is Takakage gonna ditch her here...]
no subject
[ Takakage handled the train's stop fine. ] Your apartment is on the ninth floor, first door. It should open for you.
There's also a portal to the other apartment block, where I stay, so I shall head back that way.
no subject
Reasonably, huh? [She snickers a bit halfheartedly.] Well, I'll be going, then! Thanks for helping me, Big Bro Kobayakawa.
[That's not as halfhearted, but still a bit fake. Anyway, she's off- what have you done, Takakage...]
