Who: Sora [AU2] and ~EVERYONE~

Summary: Sora hangs out around the apartments in the first day or two after his arrival; later, he realizes that he may need winter clothes for this month.
Warnings: None foreseeable.
Notes: First part is backdated to November 22-23, but the second part takes place today.

Around the apartments in Libra/Cancer Ward - Backdated to November 22 and 23rd

[You know what Sora wasn't doing his first few days in Hinoto-Ri? Hanging around his apartment, that's what. He has places to go! Friends to visit! Friends he doesn't realize are there to visit! And, course, friends to make. Not to mention getting to know the area and the city.

So, chances are, if you're hanging around in Libra or Cancer Ward, especially around the apartments, you may run into a kid with abnormally spiky hair and giant yellow shoes. Approach?]

Virgo Shopping Ward - Today

[Islands don't have very harsh winters...or, at the very least, they don't have very cold winters. When he traveled the worlds, Sora went to a few cold places, and even some with snow. But doing things like, well, saving the world or trying to help your friends made it hard to stop and really appreciate the weather. Now, even though he was here to help this world, he was finding himself with a lot more time to take everything in.

In this case, that meant taking full notice of just how cold it was.

Or, well, how cold it was today. Was this cold and hot and then cold again thing normal for this world? Whatever the answer to that, the fact was that his usual outfits were not well suited for winter. Even though he was grateful to Xion for lending him a coat to wear (which was a little too short, length-wise, but otherwise it fit pretty well), he needed to get some winter clothes of his own.

He also needed to look for a job, now that he was thinking about it, but...maybe he could do that on a warmer day. One step at a time, right?

Still, shopping is not his forte. And he's never had to look for winter clothes before. Maybe someone should give him some help?]

[Yeah... He wasn't the only one short of a few good outfits to wear, though her excuse was that she had only just finished buying enough for the warmer days after who knew how long she had spent... well, not having much of anything at all save the one outfit. There were no supply stores in the darkness, after all; it wasn't like she could just stop and make what she needed, either.

In other words, he isn't the only one looking for clothes. She paused though, tilting her head.]

...Sora?

[At least she has a liiittle bit more knowledge with clothes. Not much, though. (Why can't she be shopping for the soon-to-be new apartment, instead?)]

[Thankfully, there isn't too much occupying his mind or attention when Aqua approaches him. After all, there was no way this could be too hard, right? All he had to do was buy a coat and sweaters or something. Easy enough. So he notices right away when she says his name, smiling when he realizes who it is.

He was glad to see her around here, too! He hoped that she was planning on sticking around, too - shopping alone was no fun at all.

Aqua! Are you out here shopping, too?

[Thankfully. It would have been kind of awkward if she had to tap him on the shoulder and accidentally made him jump out of his skin. ...Also yes, it should be pretty straightforward despite different...sizes...

Luckily, it looked as though she was going to be looking for a while, too - and no it wasn't.]

Mm. Need to get a few things, myself. Especially since it's getting colder.

Yeah. I've got lots of stuff for the warm weather, but I've, um...never had to buy anything special for winter before. Never even thought about it!

[Or, at least, nothing more than a sweater and longer pants, and even those he didn't have to use much.]

But I'm not even sure where to go, to tell you the truth.

[And guess which of those friends Sora doesn't realize is here is taking an extended walk that just happens to lead him into the Cancer Ward.

It may or may not be the same person that has yet to realize that Sora is here himself and is not really paying attention to the crowd around him as he checks out the gadgets in the windows.]

[Shopping may not be Sora's forte, but really, how is catching a cold any better?

Also, spoilers: It isn't Riku's forte either.

Yet, here he is looking at woolen pullovers, scarfs, mittens, and various cloaks (because while the thick one may be nice and warm, it doesn't exactly lend itself in fight. (And given what had happened last month, he is not taking chances.)

He is holding two scarfs - one deep blue, one light gray - when he spots Sora's head in the crowd, dropping them right on the table he's found them before running after his best friend, reaching to lightly tap his shoulder twice the moment the moment he gets close enough to do so.]

[Sora doesn't really know where he's going, but he's not too worried about it - he's just having fun exploring the area outside of the apartments, and his attention is all over the place. He's torn between looking at the shop windows, trying to get a good look at the area around him, and watching the people in the crowd. But his attention turns to the latter just in time to notice someone very familiar nearby.

He has to come a little closer just to be sure, since the short hair throws him off (even though his Riku finally did get it cut), but...he's sure! That's definitely Riku.]

Riku!

[He doesn't even think twice before making a beeline straight to his best friend.]

[He turns around the moment he recognizes that voice, a smile spreading over his face instantly.]

Sora. So you finally wound up here too.

[He'd been sure he would sooner or later.]

I can't say I'm surprised... You did live on a warm island chain.

[She smiles faintly, then nods in one direction.] Come on. I know a store, at least.

I guess it got colder than I'm used to in some of the worlds I went to, but I never really noticed for some reason.

[Then again, he'd had a lot on his mind at the time...maybe even more than he had realized, if it had been so easy to ignore the weather.]

Alright! Lead the way.

Yeah, well, I can't let you guys have all of the fun without me.

[He's not too surprised that Riku was here before him, since all of the other people from his world that he's met so far have been also. It's still a weird idea to wrap his head around, when he thinks too much about the weird timeline differences and stuff, but he's already decided that not thinking about it was probably the best way to go.]

How long have you been here, anyway?

Probably because you didn't have to stay for long. I know it was that way with me.

[And leading she does, and it really isn't that far--just a block away, actually.]

[Have a chuckle and a smirk.]

Let's see if you still say that in a month or two.

[This place does have it's... quirks after all. To put it nicely. Including all those timeline differences that Sora has decided not to think about.]
