It takes him a second to brain what just happened, but then he hurries over to crouch down over the self-defeated DeSu MC fallen teenager, to check on him.

Except, he's not really sure what to do for him here; he's no doctor. That would be one of his younger -- not in the human sense, just the made-immortal one -- brothers, Vedast. He doesn't have Vedast's medical knowledge, or practice with dealing with sudden emergencies (this counted as sudden, though he hoped it wasn't an emergency!) and doesn't have Vedast's Gift of healing, he doesn't have-- okay, so he's basically no real help.

At any rate, he's discarded the rest of the bread he'd been holding, tossing it aside, and is now looking down over Kazuya from a kneeling position, big black-feathered wings open halfway, behind him, to at least shield the young man from the rest of the snow falling out of the tree branches. Between the wide-eyed look on that now-pale blue face, and the definite floof of those wings' feathers, it's easy to tell he's scared, or at least very concerned for the other here. Humans don't always do well with taking abuse like that. He knows that much. Maybe if Kazuya were more obviously not quite so human any more, but....
