"Hmm..." He rubbed his neck a bit, in thought. He had to admit, it must be weird, being so familiar with someone you hardly knew. But that was almost exactly what had happened when the whole demon invasion mess started. He didn't entirely understand the alternate timelines thing, but...
"Well... the way I see it, there's another version of me that did meet and remembered you, right? And if I know myself, he probably thought of you as at least some kind of comrade. So don't really see why not!"
And after the sort-of-an-explanation, he grins. "Besides, I don't think it really matters. It still feels like I hardly know Yamato, and we've technically only known each other for a week, tops-- so I figure we'd all still have to get to know each other better anyway, right?"
