His initial surprise to her shifting onto his lap without warning is quickly overshadowed by what her hand retrieves from his coat pocket. He stares at the bottle and at the white pills inside. If he's the least bit surprised by her discovery, he doesn't show it, and if she expects him to look ashamed or embarrassed, or even the least bit guilty, like a kid might look if he'd been caught doing something he shouldn't, he's certainly showing none of those things.

He sigh, body shifting a little from its uncomfortable place underneath her. He doesn't want to deal with this. This isn't something you bring the negotiating table, because it can't be negotiated. It's just one of those inevitabilities that is. "Figured that's what it was."

And while he can understand why she'd want to bring this up and trouble the waters, he's also seeing things from the opposite side of the white-picketed fenceline, looking across his view of the world, seeing dozens of things that Minako doesn't understand from where she is. For every reason she can think up in order to justify her actions, he can think of just as many justifying his. "Look, there ain't much you can say that I can't already guess at." Which is true. He doubts she's here to tell him that she supports his decision to use the suppressants. "So I'll save you time: this is one thing you need to let go."
