Summary: Souji follows up on his offer to check up on Shoutarou's wayward kitten.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity in the dark, the lights of the agency come to life.

Unfortunately, they come to life at a really inopportune time, as Shoutarou was trying to make his way out of the building. The sudden brightness catches him off-guard, and he stumbles into a chair, falls over it, and tumbles into a bookcase, knocking a large number of alien texts on top of him.

Well, if that wasn't a bit of an ominous start to his day, then he didn't know what else was. Souji's hand was inches from knocking on the Detective Agency's door (having already navigated the pool hall and realized it was, of course, a pool hall) when he heard the loud clatter, turning to eye his partner before slowly opening the door.

Almost immediately, he got an eyeful of a certain calico kitten eagerly jumping across the floor to tackle one of the offending books, skidding on it like a skateboard until it bonked in to the wall itself.

"...is this a bad time?"
