It happens no matter where you are. You could be walking along with a friend or alone, in the Virgo Ward or Cancer Ward or any other ward. Perhaps it happens in the lobby of your apartment building. Regardless of where you see it, a certain blue door suddenly appears. For newcomers, this may seem a little random, but it surely sparks some curiosity, doesn't it? Strange doors appearing out of nowhere and all...obviously this merits some investigation!

To the people who have been here awhile, though, the Velvet Room appears to be back. Why it suddenly chose to appear is anyone's guess, although the appearance of that other room might have something to do with it. Regardless, it's certainly a good omen...isn't it?

Regardless, when you open the door, things have...changed. Considerably.

You find yourself alone in a room. If you have been in the Velvet Room before, the fundamentals of it are the same. For those who haven't, the first word accurately describing it that comes to mind is...blue. It's very blue. The furniture consists of soft sofas and chairs, perfect for relaxing and taking a breather, especially in the company of others.

It's only when you get your bearings that you realize that room is actually a spacious train car. The windows outside give you a breathtaking view of a starry night sky. One would get the impression that the train is literally in space, but that's surely not the case...right?

Neither Igor, Caroline, or William are anywhere to be seen. It's just you in that spacious train car, soft and comforting music in the background in addition to the sounds of a train going along on the tracks. There are doors on either end of the car, probably leading to other cars.

▶ Welcome to the Velvet Room. There but a few instructions here:
▶ You do not have to play out all the request ends or beginnings. In fact it's encouraged to just use the forms (reply this month for a request, reply the next month saying the request was done) and handwave. However, the mods will be happy to do a reply, if you wish!
▶ The Velvet Room is now Permanently Open!
▶ Make sure your personal profile has a link to all the up-to-date information on your personas currently!
▶ To get a new Persona, you go to [HERE] and pick a public persona, then fill out a request [HERE].
▶ Requests can be given from either Caroline OR William [HERE] and remember you only get one request per two months. There is no set date on these requests since the Velvet Room is now permanently open. You can only ask one request and it can be either Caroline or William.
▶ While you attempt to find the Velvet Room residents, you can interact with any other people in the log, simply by leaving you train car and going to another one. It doesn't matter if you already know the person or not or which car they're in, since the beautiful thing is that the Velvet Room works in mysterious ways. Feel free to find and talk to whomever you please. There will be a thread in the main car posted later that has the Residents you are looking for, but for right now, mingle as you please.

Yeah, he's just so very lost right now. Never mind that he's never actually been on a train before. So he's going from car to car, gazing around curiously. Occasionally he stops to sniff at the air in case he can catch the scent of anyone else nearby.]

...Eikichi had to admit that he as impressed. Whoever Philemon's interior decorator was for the Velvet room upgrades was definitely good at his job. Was that...what he thought it was outside?

Not that he was particularly happy about it considering what had happened the last time he had been in space...still, shaking that off, he opened his door and went off to see if he could meet others and see exactly what was happening.

And alright, he did like trains. This was pretty neat, in it's own way. Not that he'd say that out loud.

"Hey? Anyone else out there?"

[The scent was not gunpowder, oil and SCIENCE. That is to say, he would find what looked like a teenager wandering the hallways, completely entranced at the idea they were possibly floating in space, oblivious to anything else...and also trying to peek at all the rooms to see what she could find in there.]

Up to the moment Eikichi called out, the occupant of the next train car over had had her face plastered to the window, utterly enthralled by the sight of space just outside it unlike some other people. Upon hearing the familiar voice however, she semi-reluctantly pulls her face away from the glass, turning to face the direction her boyfriend had walked in from.

"Eikichi!"

All things considered, boy was she glad to see you! Even though the decorations were lovely and there was space outside the windows, she hadn't nary a clue as to where she was. Walking through a mysterious sudden-appearing glowing blue door seemed like a good idea at the same...

Somehow he hadn't really thought about meeting Miyabi here. Logically it made sense, since she was in the city which meant she had a persona, but seeing her in the Velvet Room was a 'no going back' thing that sealed the deal. In a way he was really glad, but in another it just made him a little worried.

But he couldn't help himself.

"U-uh...welcome to the Velvet Room? Or I guess Velvet Train at this point. The decorations are new."

[He stops short when he sees her, and nods in greeting. Then he cocks his heads questioningly, wondering if she knows where they are.]

She tilts her head a little, confusion etching her expression.

"Velvet Room?"

The name sounded vaguely familiar, but she couldn't quite place it. Either way, this was quite the amazing place so far as she had observed, and Miyabi felt a bit of excitement stirring in her chest. She reaches out to tug gently at his hand, confusion shifting into elation across her face.

"Can you show me around?"

[Nano recognizes the decor as that of the Velvet Room almost immediately, but the absence of the usual residents is more worrying to her than the fact that the room appears to be moving, or even where it might be going. She wanders around the main room looking somewhat lost before venturing outside and through the neighboring train cars, all the while calling out for the residents.]

Caroline-san? William-san? Igor-san? Where are you?

[Fumi smirks a little to herself, looking around.]

Not exactly what I'd expected. Perhaps whoever's supposed to be running this place is slacking off in the back somewhere?

"I wonder if the colonies are somewhere out there...."

[Another strange place? Is this in a dream too? What catches Sora's eye is the view of the starry sky from her seat.]

[She looks around and shrugs. The body language is easy to understand, she's dealt with military stuff and working with sign language before. Of course she's not very quiet herself.]

Your guess is as good as mine! Never been to this place before, and it's pretty weird, all things considered.

I am so sorry about him. He doesn't talk much. ^^;

[He nods in understanding. Then points to the door leading to the next car. Should they keep moving forward and see what's in the next car?]

[Sadly, she knows nothing about this place. But she will admit that it's nicer than the Aramid Room; there's something soothing about this place that she can't put her finger on.]

[It's then that Sora puts a hand over her heart. The reason behind being a doctor was to help and try to protect people and now she's been given the chance to. Maybe.]

See, I knew it'd open sooner or later. Though it's strange that they aren't here to greet us.

{ The blue is really quite...staggering. Dagger can't say she has ever been in a room this shade before. She walks from one side of the room to the other, touching the walls curiously. }

"Yeah baby, the Velvet Room!" He says again, grinning and trying to push the worried part of him away. Besides the energy in the Velvet Room was always awe-inspiring. As Miyabi reaches out, he extends his own hand and interwines his with hers.

"Honestly, I'm not sure how it works anymore. I suppose if we keep watching we'll get to another area. We should find Igor and the attendants...he's actually an interesting guy, I'm sure you'll like him."

[Okay then. He will cautiously open up the door to the next car. He's going in first, just to make sure it isn't dangerous. But once he's satisfied there's no threat, he'll wave her on in.]

[She gives the girl a small smile.]

All right. Here it comes, then. Persona!

[There's a small flash of light, and then a semi-transparent wooden puppet boy - Pinocchio - is floating behind Nano.]

This is my Persona, Pinocchio.

[ Eiji's been here for a little while himself, but nothing seems to add up. He'll nod gingerly in response to the question, seeing as how she didn't seem to be addressing anyone in particular, but he's gazing around the room, not making eye contact. ]

Yeah. I think I've heard of this room, but... Were we supposed to just walk in like that?

Maybe they're at a different part of the train? Like the engine...

That, I couldn't say. But back home it was an elevator, so maybe they just felt like a change?

Well, it wasn't a small elevator... But they didn't have so many guests.

They must have had to expand. Maybe even that room they were using before was getting too crowded.

[Looking over another section of Hinoto-Ri from the top of the cityscape, Zero sat sideways on the edge of a rooftop, dangling a leg into the air and leaning on a bent knee. There isn't much of a chance for others to find him usually because of this, which is sort of a good thing. He doesn't like attracting attention to himself much unless there's a good reason for it.

His COMP-visor is on, looking through the network at the same time. It's something to pass the time when he's not training during the day or fighting during the night, and a good way to stay aware of an emergency. A glow of light cutting across the screen's own lens draws his attention to... a door standing there unaffixed to anything. Well, that's different.

A brief check-in with *Hyun-ae later on what the phenomenon is, he switches off the visor and decides to test opening the door based on how he observed the owner of the Knight Academy do it. Really, it's a bit awkward, but it's older functionality compared to pushing a button or letting a door's sensors know to open itself up. It opens up as expected, and Zero steps inside.

Within the Velvet Room, he has his own car, but no one's there to greet him immediately. He could either sit and wait or explore the cars. Both will likely happen, though he's not very inclined to initiate conversation with just anyone. Try your luck if you'd like.]

I... { She jumps a little at the unexpected voice, dark eyes wide. } I don't know, but I wouldn't suggest walking out since it's...moving.

I didn't even think about that... [ ... sorry dagger, eiji is definitely going to try pulling open one of the train car doors now. sobbing. ] Stand clear, ok? This could be dangerous!
