02 - Hobbies!
Who: Yamato Hotsuin & You!
Where: Scorpio District
Summary: Yamato needs to get a life.
Warnings: So many plastic forks.
Yamato was not a man who appreciated the arts, yet here he was, in the Scorpio District, doing something rather...peculiar.
Seated on a bench on the main street of the arts and craft shops, Yamato had multiple bags of what appeared to be plastic cutlery resting on the bench beside him, the bag torn open - with two empty bags on the floor at his feet. However that would be easily overlooked for something else: the tens of Plastic Cutlery Dragons resting on every spare inch of the bench, and some on the floor. The exact number isn't precise, but it seemed like he made almost twenty five of those things...!
The twenty sixth was currently resting on his lap, having the finishing touches put to it.
Interested in the strange craft, or worried about his obsessive making? Bug him anyway!

Yamato suddenly burst into short laughter, greatly amused by something, but quickly stifled it. Ah, Mt. Fuji. Its destruction still filled him with great excitement and mirth - too bad that it didn't represent what he had wanted it to...
No matter.
"Ah...excuse me. The Ryujin?"
no subject
"Yes. I needed its assistance in fulfilling one of my duties as an heir of the Kagami clan."
no subject
"I'm afraid I am unfamiliar with that clan."

It was a sad truth. She had no brothers, and the legacy of Kagami was going to be over anyway.

Yamato could somewhat sympathise with that - well, if he had any ability to empathise that is.
"I myself am the sole member of my clan, in a way," Yamato said after a pause. Although the Hotsuin family did exist, Yamato was the only one of its bloodline to carry the ability to channel the Dragon Stream, and have the right to lead JP's. The Hotsuin family was dwindling, and Yamato had no doubt that it would have most likely died out in a few more generations - which made him all the more determined to create his meritocratic world. Japan would have no need for the family's protection if it could look after itself...

"From your words, I can tell that your clan had far-reaching responsibilities... some sort of duty to protect something or someone, or a secret that should be kept hidden. Is that true?"

Yamato's not going to answer so easily, sadly he's a bit of a secretive bastard.
"It no longer matters now, however."
