"Nothing like that, no. I found them in an alley a few weeks ago and I couldn't just leave them to starve to death," she says with a shrug. Truthfully she wouldn't mind dogs either, but cats were a lot easier to sneak into her apartment building.

"I suppose I'm attached to them enough now that they came to this city along with me. They've got no one else to look after them at the moment."
