And when something unexpected outside of their expected unexpected does occur, they can simply dismiss it! Such expectations are futile anyway, due to their sporadic nature, and even should you expect something to occur and it does not, that adds a layer of unexpectedness to the event and thus you expect both scenarios equally, therefore truly "Expecting the Unexpected."
