He shrugs a little. Maugris is lousy at handling emotional issues, especially other people's. "Easier than trying to handle demons without things from our heads. I've tried; demons are a pain in the a- in the neck. I'm still kind of creeped out by the fact that the government knew we were all coming, to be honest. But, well... I guess someone's got to try to save this place."

He rubs his neck absently. "I just hope we don't run into anything else that shoots fire. You might have noticed but I'm... not really good with fire." He reaches out and knocks on a tree as they pass. Probably not much protection from tempting fate like that, but it's worth a shot if anything is.
