Troops Come Marching In
It's finally tournament time, which means it's time for the cavalry to move on out. When the rescuers make their way to the abandoned factory that had been named as the entrance by Q, it's rather easy to spot where their destination was. In fact, they were greeted with the appearance of extremely out of place grecian columns and ancient-looking ruins, complete with a large set of stairs leading downward; there might as well be a big neon sign with arrows pointing downward and the caption "HEY EVERYONE!! HERE IT IS!! ENTER THIS DUNGEON!! WIN FABULOUS PRIZES AND LOOT!!!" It's a rather alarming testament to just how powerful rumors are in this town, if the Junes saga wasn't indication enough.
Reiko, a member of the Seven, awaits them at the entrance with her Jack Frost standing at her side, clutching two strange objects in her hands as every assembles.
"I took a look around inside before you got here," she began, a matter of fact tone to her voice, though it was still light despite the gravity of the situation. "It's something else in there! Looks like they've set up some kind of maze inside... You'll have to get through it if you want to find the others deeper inside.
"You'll split up into two groups to get through it; Eikichi, Rock, Kotoha, Ruri and Yosuke on one, and Nano, Shinjiro, Lucas, Lucina and Billy on the other. It'll make it easier for you to get through undetected, but be sure you stay together with your groups, OK?"
She moved forward with the devices in hand, handing one off to Ruri and the other to Nano. "These are courtesy of Q-- they'll teleport you and any others in a short radius back outside here, but they're one time use only. Make sure to only use them once you've found all of the others, OK?"
Once she'd handed them off, she stepped back out of the way of the entrance, her Jack Frost following at her side. "I'll stay out here and watch your back; if you need anything, you can contact me or Q over the CommLink. Good luck! And try not to get anyone killed!"

APHRODITE | STRIP SEARCH (MIND, ALL), ARES | TETRAKARN (MIND, SELF)
Aphrodite holds out a hand, casting lights over the Visitors much like a scanner running up and down their bodies. Which, sadly, is exactly what it's doing; picking up every one of their weaknesses for her viewing pleasure.
Meanwhile, Ares unsheathes his sword, but instead of attacking right away, he uses it to draw a sort of protective circle around himself.
"Let's put your resolve to the test, shall we?"
None of this is shaping up to be a sign of an easy fight...
(ooc: please include in your post your and your personas weaknesses unless there is a reason it would not work on your character!)
PSI Counter Omega (Mind, All)

"Ah..."
He takes a few steps back uncomfortably as the lights appear around his body - though he is by no means unfamiliar with the sight of light shows dancing about him, this is far from the gentle aura of his PSI. It is uncomfortably invasive, almost searing, and he is quite relieved when they die away after they've accomplished their task.
He hadn't the least idea what that task was supposed to be, of course.
"I really don't think this is all necessary..."
The boy pauses before he slowly lifts up his baseball bat.
"But, um... We can't turn back now, so..."
Something flashes momentarily in his free hand; the next moment, another wave of light is running up the bodies of Lucas and the others at his side. This one doesn't fully fade, though, and the party remains cloaked in an ethereal, cyan glow.
"Sorry."
DROSSELMEYER | SOUL BREAK (MIND, ARES)
Nano's Persona Drosselmeyer - Resist Earth & Wind, Null Dark, Absorb Mind
Soul Break - Removes an enemy's Physical and Mind resistances for 2 turns.]
Nano blinks as the light from Aphrodite envelops her, but before she is able to react at all, the laughter of an old man - her Persona - rings out through the air. Drosselmeyer pulls out a book, opening it and sucking the analysis spell right inside.
Heh heh heh... didn't you know? Only the author is allowed to know everything.
"Ah... th-thank you, Drosselmeyer-san," Nano stammers, bowing her head to her Persona as the energy from Aphrodite's scan invigorates her. Thank goodness for passive Mind effect absorption.
"I'm sorry we couldn't come to an agreement..." She addresses Aphrodite and Ares next, shaking her head sadly as she pulls out the keyblade she'd received from Namine. "I don't want to fight you, but if it's the only way, I won't back down!"
Although she has her sword out, Nano knows she still can't match an expert like Ares almost surely is. Instead, she simply points the blade toward Ares to signal her target as she nods to her Persona. Drosselmeyer responds with a grin and a bow.
The pen is mightier than the sword...
The Persona's voice echoes through the air as he produces a quill pen adorned with a magnificent swan's feather, scrawling furiously in his mystic tome. The words he writes immediately go flying toward Ares, bathing him in a bright red light that should - with any luck - make him a little easier for the combat-oriented members of the group to deal with.
Slash attack (Physical, Aprhodite)
... But she still hasn't awakened her persona. Which means that Aphrodite probably couldn't read her. ]
The moment the couple's words signal the start of a battle, Lucina has the Falchion out at ready, clutched tightly with two hands. As Lucas takes a step back, she takes a step forward - not that it would make a huge difference, but she'd do anything to protect the rest of her team members. And judging from the demeanor of the two demons, they're not going to be an easy fight.
Lucina tenses the moment the strange light envelops her, both times. She's not entirely sure what had just happened, but it didn't seem to affect anything too drastically. The grip on the hilt of her sword tightens, and she's as tense as ever.
"It's unacceptable to see the lives of others as mere playthings - I will stop you!"
Continuing right on without a pause, Lucina runs straight for Aphrodite, the hold of her sword moved to her right hand. There's no hesitation, her sword perfectly controlled in her grip as it slashes through the air as she aims right for the side.
Whether or not her blow is dodged, Lucina returns to her spot in the formation just as quickly as she approached her target.
Puffski Mother- Distraction (Mind, All)
Puffski Mother (Persona): Strong to Earth and Light, Weak to Darkness and Physical.
Distraction: Normally allows the party to escape by distracting the enemy, but here it's being used a bit more literally. By the way, if I'm not allowed to use Distraction like this, PM me and I'll fix it.]
"P-Puu! I'm not hiding anything under here! Just fur! Or, um, skin, right now." Fattycakes froze, unsure of what to do. This was his first real battle with an actual humans (humanoids. Things that were recognizably sentient and not totally demonic. Something like that). He had to do something... anything...
The first thing that came to mind was his Distraction skill. Normally it was used for a quick escape, but perhaps it could be used for general misdirection, too. If the enemy was distracted, they could be easier to hit, or more likely to miss. So Fattycakes squinted hard as he focused and summoned his Persona: the lovely green-glowing lady known as the Puffski Mother. She held her hand out, and a glowing sphere of light jumped out of her hand and began to scurry around the floor, occasionally jumping high into the air. Fattycakes couldn't help but marvel at the little ball of light. "Puu! That one's really cute, Mama! I want to pick it up and pet it." Hopefully that'd draw more attention still to the distraction...
Castor - Evil Smile (Mind: Aphrodite/Ares)
Castor Weaknesses: None]
Well, there's not much for it then. He's not liking what Ares is doing—seen too many Shadows in Tartarus try to set up similar shit—but in the end there might not be anything for it except to get rid of whatever defensives Ares put up the old-fashioned way. But if Nano's going to make an opening, he'll take it. His usual strategy (read: not much of one) is to hit things until they die, but for all his limitations he still has other options to work with.
Not his usual style, but so be it. He pulls his Evoker out of his pocket, raises it to his temple, and pulls the trigger, and sends Castor charging towards them, deathly silent.
