Rain
Who: The Jedi Exile (Meetra) and OPEN
Where: Around the Pisces district, mostly
Summary: A Jedi wanders rather suspiciously around this strange planet
Warnings: Shouldn't be any
The strange officials who'd briefed her on where she'd ended up - without being able to tell her how she got here, or what happened to T3 or the Ebon Hawk - had also said she had accommodations somewhere in the "Pisces District". It would almost have reminded her of Telos, but it was sadly lacking in sarcastic running commentary or jailtime.
Rather than head immediately to her assigned apartment or use the holocommunicator they'd given her, Meetra decided to take a wandering path through the city. Late at night, it seemed like most shops were closed, but there were still a few citizens about - and more importantly, she had been told there were other "visitors" here, who'd arrived just as abruptly and cluelessly as herself. It would be nice to meet a few face to face and gauge the situation first...
Thus, clad in the brown robes she'd arrived in - hood up against the scattered rain and keeping her quite dry - Meetra wandered the nighttime crowds, occasionally politely asking a local politely for their take on the situation. Some hurried past - expected in a city - others exposited enthusiastically about her as a guest, a few asked her if she was a sorcerer or priest or something. Clearly no Jedi or Sith tradition on this planet, or so she assumed - the robes were normally a dead giveaway.
At the same time, she kept her senses open to the strange feeling in this city...as desperate and noisy as Nar Shadaa, thick with what felt almost, but not quite exactly, like the Force she'd grown used to again. Maybe the difference had something to do with that man who'd appeared to her. Well, she'd just have to see some time when groundcars weren't splashing sheets of rain at her.

"I take it you haven't been in town for very long, then?"

The man doing the watching was also doing an impressive job of hiding, physically as well as psychically, despite that massive armor and the fact that he apparently didn't have a stealth unit. It took quite a few sidelong glances through the rain shower before she was sure she was seeing an armored figure and not a large animal. Not that either was really expected in the middle of a city...
After a few minutes of convincing herself that the large person doesn't mean immediate harm, Meetra did the obvious thing and turned to face the bulk in the haze directly, walking towards it and, as soon as she's under some kind of awning, pushing her hood back to make sure she and her stalker could see each other.
"Nice weather to greet new arrivals with, right?" she asked casually. "Even Dxun was nice enough to not combine rain and smog," she added, just in case the armored figure actually was Mandalorian. Better to keep him interested in what she had to say in case mugging a Jedi was his idea of a good time.

"So. Are you are a priest, or a Sorcerer, then?"
His words are full of disdain, and even disgust.
no subject
Or, technically, the exact opposite, but details.
"Calling what I can do magic is an oversimplification, and calling me any kind of religious leader is flat out wrong," she added. "Then again, I guess I just happen to be dressed like how wizards dress here or something."
no subject
He shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know how wizards dress. I only know that if I see such things in front of me, I deal with them."
The implication is fairly obvious.

"You... really don't need to end every sentence that way. Thanks, though."
"I am but a vessel to convey the words of the Almighty. Thus saith -- "
"Hey, look, it's a distraction."
A boy clad in blue walks slowly down the street, seemingly heedless of the gently falling rain. ...It helped to have an umbrella in the form of a metallic angel holding its shield over your head. Breaking off the conversation with his 'demon', Atsuro nods and smiles towards the hooded woman walking their direction.
"Good afternoon."
no subject
Well that was a heck of a droid.
"My name's Meetra, and I'm new here," the woman says, taking her eyes off the odd metallic figure to talk politely to its apparent owner. He was dressed approximately like the locals, and she'd seen several of said locals walking around with some kind of servants or droids, but none as impressive as that one, so she hazards a guess he might be another visitor. "Have you been here long?"
no subject
"It must be just about a month now. ...Time travels pretty fast when you don't have much to do." He shrugs slightly. "Did you get the rundown from the, uh... mask-guy?"
no subject
"Who exactly is your friend here?" she asked regarding Power, curiosity finally getting the better of her politeness.
no subject
"This guy? His name is -- " He breaks off as he realizes Power is probably more a classification than it is a name. "...He's an angel. Probably not what comes to mind when you think of the word, but I guess pop culture isn't a great representation of reality."
"I am a servant of the Almighty, a Power of the Third Choir of the Second Sphere. Though I and my kind have been lost to thy ken, know that we are many, and we continue to serve and follow unseen."
Atsuro scratches at his head for a moment. "That's probably not supposed to be as creepy as it sounds."

This is the Demon Overlord, Kazuya, and right now he is trying to get his powers to work - they are not being very cooperative at that moment. May want to avoid him, may want to make sure he won't flip out and blow up the closest object out of sheer frustration.

She drew in her perceptions in (or cut off her tentative links to the bystanders she was using the perceptions of...she was still not really sure how her senses worked now), so as not to be overwhelmed before approaching the kid. Her hand wasn't on her lightsaber, but part of her mind was ready to grab it regardless.
She walked cautiously up to whomever this was and asked, politely, "Are you alright?"
no subject
He would have done it in his room but - he might have exploded it.
"What? Yeah, I'm fine. Just...trying to do something."
no subject
She could only hope this was actually negative advice if he was actually trying to harm someone with the Force, which it could be. She wasn't as versed in the theory of the Dark Side as some of her mentors had been.
"If you don't mind some advice from a stranger, I mean."
no subject
A small flicker sparked above his palm before being snuffed out. He gave up in disgust. Not today then.
"A calmer mind did nothing, but I appreciate the advice in any case," Kazuya sighed, forcibly calming down his irritation. Hey, he may be a Demon Overlord, but he wasn't that rude. "Thanks."

So his plan was basically to get to the train and back to his own apartment as quickly as possible, and as quickly as possible meant running while trying to shield himself from the rain. Which just kind of meant worse visibility, and him almost running into the stranger clad into the brown robes. But hey, at least he caught himself before he completely bowled himself over!
"Whoah-- S-Sorry about that! I didn't hit you or anything, did I?"
no subject
"No, I'm alright," she said hurriedly. "Are you okay?"
no subject
He chuckled sheepishly in a kind of lame attempt to try and ease the tension of him, being an idiot. It's not very effective. "I mean, except for the, getting soaked by the rain part, but there's not much I can do about that now, heh..."
no subject
"Need someone to cover you while you get indoors? I'm heading for the Pisces apartments."
no subject
Well, he felt kind of weird asking help of a total stranger, but she did kind of offer in the first place, but that was only because he had kind of...run into her in the first place...
"Y-Yeah, if you don't mind... I can probably manage once we get to the right district."
