Where: Sam's apartment
Summary: After this post, Otoha goes out to have a discussion with Sam. Yakuza style.
Warnings: Swearing, blood (possibly), violence, eldritch horrors.


After that... suspicious post, and despite Desco's objections, Otoha still needed to pay Sam a visit. It was easy enough to figure out which apartment was his, and easier still to get into the building. He'd try this the friendly way first.

For a certain value of 'friendly'.

Otoha knocks on the door to Sam's apartment, in a dark suit with a reddish-purple shirt. The shirt's not tucked in well and the jacket's open, but he doesn't care.

"Open up."

Desco makes a small noise that sound irritable before touching down on a nearby roof and reluctantly withdrawing her tentacles. Turning around, she floats off a little distance, crosses her arms, and curls up into a floating ball for a good sulk.

Otoha just sighs and shakes his head, looking at Sam. Well, at least he hasn't got anywhere to run.

"Well?"

Your move.

Sam shakes his head, letting out an exasperated sigh, before looking over at Otoha. He sounds annoyed, but whether that's due to his apartment currently missing a wall and him being here or just being here with Otoha in the first place.

"Look. Just...stop it. You've ruined everything." He frowns, before turning away and walking over to where Desco is floating around. "Hey, Desco! Come back here! I told you....I-I'd explain it to you later, okay? I'm sorry!"

[tyrantball]

The eye on the back of Usatako glares up at Sam as a sulky little voice emanates from within the floating mass of tentacles.

"Either Big Bro lied to Desco, or Big Bro lied to Uncle Otoha. Either way, Big Bro has lost the right to tell Desco what she can call him."

There's a slight pause as a couple of the tentacles slither against each other, opening up just enough of a gap for Desco's child body to pop her head out and scowl up at Sam.

"Desco is very upset with you, Big Bro! Once we are back home Desco expects you to give her lots of hugs!"

...apparently Sam is living with them now or something?

Wait what he did not approve this.

"... He's not a puppy you can take home, Desco. Even if he whines like a kicked one."

[tyrantball]

The floating ball of tentacles just twists around so that Desco can stare at Otoha.

"Rules are rules, Uncle Otoha! You were mean to a family member, so only Uncle Johnny has veto rights now!"

Hopefully this is one of those rules that was explained in advance?

...probably not.

"Desco, but...ugh...I didn't ask to live with you? Don't I get a say in this?"

I mean, his apartment is now destroyed and all, but really, living with a bunch of people, including one that came to threaten him, is not something he wants at ALL.

He clutches his head and lets out a groan. Wonderful day. Really wonderful.

"What is going on...???"

Otoha reaches out and attempts to grab Desco.

"He's not living in our house. Not unless he can stop lying about obvious things."

[tyrantball]

Desco scoots out of reach, several of her tentacles hissing.

"How can you say that, Uncle Otoha?! You saw the terrible, broken down hole the corrupternment put Big Bro in! It doesn't even have a wall!"

The ball of tentacles unfurls a little more so Desco can level a crimson claw at Sam.

"You're Desco's beloved Big Bro and she won't let you live in such a terrible place!"

[primordial]

Stop calling him Big Bro, Desco, it really isn't helping- for Sam lets out something between a sob and a whimper and turns away because wow, that's surprisingly painful.

"Y-you're the one who put that hole in my wall, okay? You don't need to choose where I need to live, come on, Desco!"

[bakegarasu]

"You did make the hole in the wall - which we're probably going to have to pay for."

He needs to send out the Johnny distress signal soon. How does he negotiate.

[tyrantball]

Desco just sort of stares blankly.

"Desco has no idea what you're talking about. It was like that when she got there."

Desco never lies, but she is incredibly good at refusing to acknowledge inconvenient things like facts.

"Sure you don't, Desco."

He rubs his eyes, before going and sitting down on the roof and burying his face in his hands because wow, he does not want to be part of this in any fashion.

"I can't believe this is happening..."

[bakegarasu]

"Will everyone stop dancing around the fucking issue? Kid -" He points his sword at Sam.

"Just tell me what you are. I don't care what it is, I'm just sick of you hiding."

[primordial]

There's no answer.

Sam puts his hands down in his lap, but stares in front of him at nothing in particular, as if having no idea that Otoha is talking to him right now.

Yes, he's giving you the cold treatment.

He's been listening through the roof for a while now and has deemed it necessary to reign in his agitated partner. There's a flurry of bats that comes from one of the windows below and reforms into a man between Otoha and Sam.

He lays a hand on Otoha's blade and smiles at him. "That isn't a very nice way to treat a guest our dear Desco has brought home, is it, Otoha? Perhaps we all need to calm down a bit."

[primordial]

Bats? Sam looks over, looking surprised...but that expression goes away to be replaced by a frown, and he rubs his forehead again as he stands up. He doesn't need any of this. Just leave him alone. Leave him alone.

"Look, that's nice of you and all, but I just want to go and find a place to be by myself, okay? I-I'm just tired of all this..."

[bakegarasu]

He calms very slightly when Johnny appears, but then he has to go and do that. Something in him snaps, and his voice is a snarl.

"I'm just tired of this bullshit. I just want to know what the fuck he's hiding. I'd like to do that without any of these fucking games."

He pulls his sword away from Johnny and glares at Sam, before taking a step back. He needs to put some distance between himself and everyone else right now.

"Why am I hiding anything? Seriously, do you have any evidence for that? No? H-honestly, then what is your problem!?"

His eyes, wide and tearful, look back and forth between Otoha and Johnny. He just looks like a young man who doesn't want to be a part of any of this right now, not a monster who wants to hurt people.

"Seriously...this is impossible. It really is."
