'Scuse me, pardon me!

[Perhaps you are relaxing in your room. Or perhaps you're enjoying a dip in the pool or taking a breather in the library. Regardless of the activity in question, the peaceful atmosphere is suddenly broken by the intrusion of someone in a black and white costume carrying a knapsack filled with packages flying through -- yes, straight through. Straight through the wall and out the outer side, tossing out a hurried note of apology along the way.

...In the moments of stunned disbelief afterwards, the girl sticks her head back through the wall and waves a bit to catch your attention. As if it isn't already caught.]

Actually, do you know a 'Dennis'? I'm looking for a Dennis. Or -- maybe this is a P, I can't really tell, but I can't imagine anyone naming their kid that unless they really hated the thought of having kids. ...It's just kind of mean.

[Before too much time can be spent pondering on the dilemma of D vs. P, Phantom Girl thrusts the package she's holding back into her sack and rummages around.]

Oh, I might have one for you, too, actually. Did you order anything from a... 'Nyx's Nightclub' lately?

[Phantom Girl had found a day job, apparently.]

[Some two hours later, an irritated Phantom Girl appears on the screen.]

I can't believe it! They're docking my pay this week! I mean, I don't need it, but that's incredibly unfair.

I thought the point of being a courier was to get the job done as fast as you can; what's the use of plodding about all over the place reading the street signs? It's way faster to do it my way; all of you got your deliveries faster than you were expecting, right? I mean, it's not like you guys have anything to hide in your rooms. And it's not like I opened a package or anything - that's the only privacy concern they should be worried about.

[She continues to stew and mutter aimlessly for a few moments before striding closer to the screen and pointing at it.]

...Seriously, though, did one of you snitch?

[Io is, in her own way, a girl's girl, and is on a shopping trip today! She is looking at the recent lines and trying things on.]

[Naturally, in response to being caught in a dressing room, she starts panicking.]

[Yeah, you came at a bad time.]

Kotoha looks up from her lunch - a light salad - and just sort of blinks for a few seconds before regaining her composure.

"Hey, it's been a while. Don't think there's anyone named Dennis in the building, though."

Uh.

[Have you ever seen anyone screech to a halt in mid-air? It is apparently perfectly possible. Phantom Girl stops before she even goes out the other side and pauses uncomfortably with her eyes directed at some corner or other.]

Wow.

Who knew they put dressing rooms to the side of the stores nowadays?

"Exactly. I've never even heard of a Dennis. Everyone here is named things like, well. Kotoha and Phantom Girl."

She squints more closely at the package in question for a few moments before giving a small shrug.

"Maybe this one is a fake. Some kind of test to see if I'm paying attention."

[Who is this? Riku looks up from his novel, one brow arched.]

Nobody would name their kid "Pennis".

[He gets the joke, but he wants to pretend he doesn't.]

"Actually, it's a pretty common name back home. But a lot of people here are from Japan, for some reason, so names like mine are more normal, I guess?"

"Huh." Tinya Wazzo gives a shrug. It wasn't her fault these people had bizarre names. "Well... Whoever he is, I'm supposed to get a package to him before the end of the day." She checks the clock.

"I think I'm overdue for lunch break, though."

Exactly. It's practically child abuse.

[Phantom Girl gives a small shrug as she shoves the package back into her knapsack.]

Whoever this guy is, he seems to have a habit of ordering solid bricks for delivery.

You think it's really a brick?

[He reaches into the pages of the book, pulling out a small scrap of paper which he sticks into the page he's on. Shutting the book with a quiet snap, he sets it in between the cushion and arm of the chair.]

... Who are you, anyway?

Phantom Girl.

[She says casually with her hind parts still behind the wall.]

I remember you. You were one of the people associated with that building - um. Kairi and friends.

[She drifts forward and settles about an inch above his carpet to avoid soiling it. Never let it be said that Phantom Girl was not considerate.]

That's your name?

[He thinks it's a little too superhero-y for a real given name.]

Yeah, but... I hear there was another me before I showed up. He wouldn't have had this.

[He taps his collar, then looks down at the hand he used. His right arm, up to the shoulder (though that's hidden by his clothes) is a prosthetic, gleaming steel.]

Or this, I guess.

It's as much of a name as you're going to get, so. Yup.

[At his next words, she considers the collar on his neck with an expression of uncertainty for a few moments before giving a slight nod.]

Guess that makes about as much sense as anything. The past you would have started yelling at me already, by the way - you're welcome to still do it if you want.

...Is that some kind of one-of-a-kind fashion accessory, then?

Yell at you, for what? Do we have history? And the collar is... well, before I came here I was in a space station that acted as a torture facility. So, it's not quite one of a kind, but...

[He considers for a moment, then shrugs.]

I guess it's more that it marks me as from there.

For phasing through your room? I don't know. He seemed like the type to be easily irritated.

[Phantom Girl gives a shrug as she glides over to peer more closely at the collar in question. She will not, though the thought arises, say anything about torture having mellowed him out.]

...Sorry to hear that. That... couldn't have been much fun.

[A short pause.]

Do you want it off?

Heh. Was he younger than me?

[He blinks as she approaches, unsure how to process the question. Off? It can come off? He's been wearing it for going on four years, but it can come off?

He likes the sound of that.]

Maybe. Can you do that?

My name is Phantom Girl and I just came through the wall of your room. Three guesses what my power is and the first two don't count.

[Phantom Girl gives a small mid-air curtsey.]

I think I can, and I can definitely give it a try. If it's somehow anchored to this dimension or if there's some sort of... bizarre magic effect though... Like I can't phase out of the barrier around this city, but these things can't be that important, right?

...And, yeah, now that you mention it, I think he was.

((I'll leave it up to you whether or not it works! Phantom Girl's power is to move from one dimension to an overlapping one, so it appears like invisibility and intangibility.))

Kotoha looks briefly thoughtful before gesturing at the table.

"I got an extra chair, if you want?"

"Hm. Don't mind if I do. Give me a sec."

Phantom Girl pops out the door, examines the number, and proceeds to drop straight through the floor. ...She reemerges a minute or two later sans knapsack and with a sandwich in her hands.

"Did you know I live three floors under you? You do now, anyway."

I think it's worth a try, definitely. I've had this thing on too long. But yeah, I can't leave either, and the Corridors of Darkness usually work.

((I'm gonna say no for now just because I think the others from Facility were hoping for something eventy to happen? Plus then PG'd have to go around taking collars off everyone from the Facility, lol.))

Let's see, then... Try not to wiggle around too much if you can.

[Phantom Girl reaches out slowly and Riku will have the dubious honor of being the first person she phases through as she grasps his collar, going through part of his throat in the process. He is liable to feel nothing whatsoever.]

OK. Count of three -- Three. Two. One!

[She fades, though her arm makes a jerking motion as she does so. ...The collar does not. More invisible tugging ensues.]

Ooookay. I guess it is that important. What is this, Nth metal?

Kotoha was in the middle of chewing a tomato when Phantom Girl popped back up through the floor. She pauses a second and swallows before replying.

"Huh, neat. So who do you work for?"

[He doesn't feel anything physically, but it still makes him feel kinda weird, seeing the way she kind of... intersects with him.]

I have no idea. It used to change colours, though. Depending on the level of security, or whatever. Black like this means it's not limiting me at all, but sometimes they would be silver or gold, or blue.

"Someone or Someone or Another's Express Deliveries. It's one of the delivery services here in Hinoto-Ri. Since the city isn't that big, it's faster for me to fly around than it is to pilot some backwards 20th century vehicle. Saves on expenses, too."

Phantom Girl floats to the door now to deposit her shoes as she had noticed was the custom here.

"They give me bonuses if I finish faster, but... I say there's always time for lunch.

Weird.

[Phantom Girl continues to tug ineffectually before phasing her hand back away from the collar.]

You'd think whatever was powering it would lose effect once you were in a different dimension. If you do get it off, keep it around - Could make for an interesting study. ...Sorry I can't help.

[She drifts back a few feet to give him more space.]

What do you mean, 'limit', though?

[Someone phasing through walls isn't too weird to Fate, really. Nor is suddenly being yanked from what he was doing.

Except that had already happened once today, and the last thing he recalled was that he was fighting a little pyromaniac girl and her demon bear. He even hand a handful of cards ready to let fly, but this... This isn't Summoner's Rift. The feeling of the summoning spell isn't there, nor is the mental link with his Summoner, or the restraints imposed by the League. Winding up on a back alley of a city that doesn't look like any part of Valoran he's ever seen, that wasn't part of the plan for the day.

Phantom Girl gets a curious glance, though Fate tends to keep his eyes covered by the brim of his hat - and were she to check her COMP, she'd be getting a new arrival alert.]

Ain't ever heard of such a place, miss - not really sure where I'm at, to tell the truth.
