Who: Open to all!
Where: Every District
When: 13th Hour
Summary: It's time for an end to Truthiness.

It starts in the morning, as the government sends out a message over the Visitor Network - the strange plague of enforced honesty wasn't the work of a single demon but rather multiple demons, blanketing the area in strange truthiness waves. They'll be making their appearance tonight, so would the Visitors please go out and stop them?

As the landscape twists into the strange tableau of the 13th Hour, innumerable ranks of strange, armor-clad demons fill the streets, chanting.

"TRU-THI-NESS, TRU-THI-NESS, TRU-THI-NESS!"

Well then. This has been an irritating week.

Why not work off some stress?

ooc:have at it, folks!

Erk blinks. He blinks again. He really doesn't know how he's expected to fight all these... things.

His first instinct is one born of far too many battles for someone his age - find a choke point. If he can narrow down the ways they can approach him, maybe even find cover, he can try to hold them off.

But first he just has to say something. "Truthiness isn't even a word!"

The nearest Absolute Truthiness turns to Erk and starts talking.

"That's RIGHT! IT'S NOT A WORD, IT'S A FEELING IN YOUR GUT!"

With that, it attempts to draw its sword. Sadly, the scabbard gets tangled in its legs and it falls flat on its face.

Erk just looks down at the demon on the ground, sighs, and pulls out one of the tomes that seem to have been brought with him to the city. In all honesty even this is probably overkill, if the Absolute Truthinesses' ability to trip themselves up is any indication of their skill, but it's what he's got.

He opens the red book and his hand weaves through familiar gestures. "Elfire!" Bolts of fire arc over his head before moving to strike the fallen demon.

It goes up like an oil-soaked rag. Hopefully Erk wasn't standing too close, he'd probably look strange without eyebrows.

Oh, Erk knows better than to stand that close to something he just lit on fire. He's a little surprised by just how flammable they are, though.

Which is an interesting idea for taking more of them out, come to think of it. If he can only get them to run into each other... but he has somebody who can help with that, come to think of it. He keeps forgetting it's hard to be really alone now.

"Come forth, Mimir!" He looks up as a column of blue light surrounds him to see an oversized, floating head, patterned in blue and gold.

Mimir nods down at him and speaks in a low, rumbling voice, as if the head was attached to something truly massive. "Your plan?"

Erk lowers his voice. "I know you can spread confusion in their ranks. Shall we see what that would do once I've set one alight?" He hopes it doesn't burn too fast for that.

Another bolt of fire is cast at an Absolute Truthiness in the midst of several others, and Mimir follows up the attack with Pulinpa. The idea is to get a confused Absolute Truthiness that also happens to be on fire, running around and catching others as well.
