Summary: Weeeooo weeeooo weeeooo newbie alert. With a weird collar. Being in the Tower of Animus for a while doesn't make you very trusting of new places.
Warnings: Hallelujah is a warning (foul language, violence, etc.). Also just being from Animus comes with warnings involving possible discussion of body horror, death, mental manipulation, and general awful.

[Another night of restless sleep. He'd gone to bed, nodding briefly to his roommates, and tried to focus on getting to bed. Normally it was fairly easy, but tonight he kept having trouble getting his brain to stop focusing on things. Finally, he'd pushed away thoughts of horror and blood and gone to sleep… and then he'd had a dream.]

[Persona… The word stays with him as he wakes up… in a very different place. A place with a sun shining brightly, and grass under his fingers. … Has he been sleepwalking? He rises, looking around. Allelujah brushes himself off and starts to walk, trying to find the stairs.]

[His collar itches a bit, and he scratches it, glancing at the yellow fluid running through it. It should be time for a checkup soon… he'll deal with that when the day comes.]

[… Finding the stairs is taking longer than it should.]

[Sagittarius]

[… Well. He's walked for a while, and not found the stairs - he's found an entirely different setting. His movements slow as he becomes even more cautious - he doesn't even have a gun on him.]

[There are people milling about, all looking at him strangely. It's not like he's dressed in anything weird, just his normal clothes. Still, he keeps walking, picking his way through the streets. A punk smirks at him, and he just keeps walking. He doesn't want to cause trouble - he just wants to get back to his room.]

[And it gets even more interesting! Oh, he could use this for so many things, truly. He blinks, looking contemplative.]

What sort of soldier are you? Army? Navy? Air Force? Neither of those?

[Months of being in Animus have made him less cautious with information. Then again there's not likely a lot anyone could do with said information that he hasn't dealt with before.]

Ah... I'm a mobile suit pilot. So none of those, really.

Mobile suit? Oh, so, you pilot giant robots? Sounds like something out of a science fiction story...

Eheh... my world might be later than yours. In my world it was 2308.

What?! Really? Goodness, it's only 2013 where I come from...

[He looks amazed.] What is the future like, where you come from?

The three power blocs of the world are constantly at war with each other... but that's normal for me. It's hard to explain what it's like, since I don't have anything to compare it to.

Power blocs?

Yeah, no, I get it. I wonder what caused the war, though...

United groups of countries. They generally cover geographic areas close to each other, but some have zones outside of the main area.

And it was energy and resources. There was the Solar Wars when I was younger, which were over who could use the solar energy produced by the orbital elevator.

Oh, of course. Land and energy. People always tend to fight over that.

[He shakes his head, tsking slightly.]

Seriously, it's always over the most stupid things...

[And in his mind, that sends up a red flag. This guy is either disconnected from people in general or something else is going on.]

Well both are pretty necessary for human existence...

No, no, no, I get that! But what I'm upset about isn't about the fact that they're fighting over those things, it's the fact that they're fighting because they were too greedy for those things. I mean, everyone can live happily with what portion they have, but some countries just want it all for themselves so they can be more powerful than everyone else...that's what I think is stupid. No one wants to share, so they fight for whoever gets more of whatever it is.

Nobody is ever satisfied with what they already have, and it...it sickens me.

... That's true. And that's what I'm fighting for - for peace. I know it sounds contradictory, but it will happen. I know it will. If not in my lifetime, than in the next.

You're very brave. Especially to want to change such a situation as big as that...

[A pause.]

I guess you must not be the most popular person back home? Since you want to end the wars and fighting and all.

It's not really bravery... I just want things to be better.

[... He nods.]

No. I've been labeled a terrorist more than once.

[He looks somber at the next part.]

People hate you for doing the right thing...I understand that.

... Yeah?

[His expression softens some. He'll listen if Sam goes on, but he doesn't want to force him.]

Yeah. Like in the case of me...they see my efforts as a joke. I'm not good enough to help. They laugh, and I'll get too embarrassed to help at all.

But...ugh, sorry. That's probably not what you went through.

If you're making an effort to try, I think it's worth it. Keep trying.
