With the issue still unresolved as the days passed by, the Visitors and the Guests of Geartopia were reaching a peak as more of them appeared from the time rifts. Morale could plummet, but the mayoress would never allow that.

Thankfully, the city itself was hospitable and welcoming to all. The villagers that composed it were a colorful cast, after all. Perhaps drowning your sorrows in booze and a night of dancing would be helpful. Don't worry about the kids... well, there aren't any age limits here after all (...wait...)!

The Thirsty Mare was a large building that could hold the entire town if it needed to do so. Carved out of wood from the nearby forest with the permission of the Ancient Spirits, it rose above Geartopia like a protective beacon. It was a new building as well, no older than ten years, thus new even to the heroes who had come here before. A symbol of the growing economy and peace all around them, it was half town hall, half tavern.

At night? Definitely a tavern.

Cages of fireflies are hung up in the air, as pieces of moss and leaves are strung decoratively against the large heavy trees forming the building's skeleton. Lighting is provided with gas lamps hung around and a gigantic crystal chandelier in the middle.

To the left, a bar seats a few patrons who get tired of dancing, serving drinks for all. Don't worry; it's on the house tonight. At the far off of the hall, a giant table had been prepped with food: entire turkeys, beans (everyone loves beans here, it's quite magical), rye bread, corn, apple pie and sugar pie.

And the alcohol is definitely felt tonight, as the musicians (two wolves and what looks like a bear) settle in and begin playing. Most serious work could be held off until tomorrow, after all.

For now, have some fun! Try not to get drunk too much, the Cactus Juice here is pretty potent...

[Oh gods, that collar is familiar. It's Xion! And maybe his Xion. Or at least an Tower Xion!

He grabs her up in a hug, because forget the food!]

Hey, kiddo! I was worried about ya. How'd you get here? The Tower throw ya here too?

[Reno's a bit more convinced this wasn't an glamour. So far, nothing really bad happened, or was all that twisted. It didn't seem like Ruana at all.]

Is Shion here? Elena?

[Xion yelps in surprise as she's pulled up into a hug, forcing her to drop the spoon with some beans onto her plate. Still, the yelp fades into laughter as she leans against him and wraps the one arm she can easily reach him with around him in return.

It's a lot of questions to be asked at once though, and she has to take a moment to sort them out in her head. Predictably, the first question she answers is about the ones they care about most, and her smile falls a little as she says it.]

I haven't seen them yet. But if we're both here they're probably nearby, right?

[At least, that's what makes the most sense to her... She works backwards mentally, until something that he said strikes her as off. She looks up at him, frowning a little in confusion]

Reno? Where are we?

[Blink, blink. He takes a moment to look around before answering her.]

Think they said Geartopia. I haven't seen a damn thing that tells me this is one of Ruana's pranks, and I've been here a couple days.

[Have a headruffle.]

It doesn't fit their MO.

[The hairruffle makes her giggle yet again, ducking her head a little. Once he's done though, her expression turns a little more thoughtful]

We're... we're really out?

[After spending a strong majority of her life in the Tower, it's a little hard to believe.]

Yeah, but sounds like they're tryin' to send us back.

[He's so not happy at that thought.]

Kinda wish we'd stay, but Elena and Shion are out there.

[It's funny. Back in one of the most awful places Xion could ever imagine, it was beyond impossible to even get the people in charge to consider fixing everything and sending them home. But now they were in a place they might not want to leave, it seemed to almost be the first thing on their minds.

Still, Xion could understand what Reno was saying all too well.]

Yeah... I don't think I'd want to be here if they're not. Or Sora or [she only hesitates a moment before saying his name] Riku, or any of the others.

So ya agree?

[As much as he hates it, as much as he wants it to not be true, as long as those people were still there, Tower is home.]

We blow this joint and go home?

Yeah. [beat] But we can eat first, right?

[Truth be told, it's only half a joke.]

Knock yourself out, kiddo. [He's grinning.] Might as well enjoy it, y'know?

Yeah.

[She's a little sad some of her other friends can't share it with her, but she gets the feeling most of them wouldn't have wanted her to hold back on their account. And she was hungry. Very hungry.

For a while she doesn't say anything, as she's too busy munching on the food provided. It's delicious, especially after eating mostly pumpkin for half a month (and not having anything for a week before that)

At last, once her initial eating pace has slowed, she speaks up again.]

It's so strange, being out.

[Watching Xion eat so much is pretty amusing, so when she starts talking, he pokes her in the cheek.]

You're tellin' me. I spent a lot more time outta the Tower than you have, and it still feels weird. I guess I felt like we'd never get out. You sure you aren't packing that away to save for Shion?
