Who: Anyone
Where: Around the city and in the apartments
When: November 15-18
Summary: Little kids everywhere! Also the power grid is on the fritz.
Warnings: Hopefully none!

With the network and the city's electricity once again malfunctioning, the power to most of the city has either been knocked out or is malfunctioning. And since inconvenient things rarely happen in a vacuum in Hinoto-Ri, a portion of the city has also been affected by some strange new curse, reverting to childlike forms. Business in and around the city has ground to a standstill due to the power problems, and without functioning heat in the apartments, extra blankets and huddling together for warmth are the order of the day. It's still possible to go outside as the government hasn't imposed any additional curfews, and the demons during the 13th Hour are as active as ever, but some people may just want to ride this out until everything is back to normal.

The child event effects are in full swing, and taking place concurrent with the blackout from November 15th through the 18th. Please label your posts with your character's name and location. Sarah snorts.

"'Course not! 'M a ghetto rat, and you're dressed like someone outta th' Den. I just wanna know what those frilly things you're wearin' are called."

...It's a skirt. You've really never seen it before?

"...huh. You really are from th' Den, if you think that's normal."

Sarah steps forward, a little hesitantly, and peers curiously at Fumi.

"...s'weird, seein' one a those up close and all."

I'm from Nagoya, not this Den you keep talking about.

[Fumi frowns, shuffling back and forth.]

...Stop staring.

"...what's Nagoya?"

I don't have time for this. Stop making fun of me.

Sarah crosses her arms and pouts.

"You're th' one making fun of me! Just 'cause I'm not rich enough to learn things doesn't mean I'm stupid!"

You have to be pretty rich to learn anything useful anyway.

[Fumi frowns, clenching a fist at her side.]

"Yeah, well, I'm gonna get as rich as you and wear fancy clothes and learn everything, wait an' see!"

I'm not rich. If I was, I could afford to go to a good school.

Sarah scoffs.

"Sh'yeah, like there's enough people alive to staff more'n one school."

...You're weird.

"Yeah, yeah, same t' you. Whatcha looking for, anyway?"

My school. Or the police station.

[This next part is grumbled under her breath very quietly.]

I think I'm lost.

Sarah frowns thoughtfully.

"...I dunno what a police is, but I guess I can help you look."

...You walk in front, okay?

"'Kay. You want a knife? I got a spare."

What? No!

A shrug.

"Your loss, I guess. We are inside the walls, I guess, so there's not much chance of getting eaten..."

Eaten? Just how bad is your neighborhood?

"It's the Outer Ghetto. You know? Outside the walls?"

A shrug.

"It's been a few months since any Aragami broke in, I guess, but that just means we're due."

You're not making sense.

Sarah stops and frowns in thought, stroking one of her hair ribbons as she does.

"...what year was it for you? 'Cause not knowing 'bout th' Aragami is, like...impossible, even if you are super-rich and live in the Den."

2002, why?

"...'cause it's 2057, that's why."

Sarah digests this.

"...wow, no wonder you seemed so weird! Sorry for snappin' at ya."
