Child Event and Blackout Log

Where: Around the city and in the apartments
When: November 15-18
Summary: Little kids everywhere!  Also the power grid is on the fritz.
Warnings: Hopefully none!

With the network and the city's electricity once again malfunctioning, the power to most of the city has either been knocked out or is malfunctioning.  And since inconvenient things rarely happen in a vacuum in Hinoto-Ri, a portion of the city has also been affected by some strange new curse, reverting to childlike forms.  Business in and around the city has ground to a standstill due to the power problems, and without functioning heat in the apartments, extra blankets and huddling together for warmth are the order of the day.  It's still possible to go outside as the government hasn't imposed any additional curfews, and the demons during the 13th Hour are as active as ever, but some people may just want to ride this out until everything is back to normal.

((OOC: Feel free to make your own top-level comments either mingling in your apartments or out and about in town.  The child event effects are in full swing, and taking place concurrent with the blackout from November 15th through the 18th.  Please label your posts with your character's name and location.  We apologize for the slight lateness of this log!))

"Who the hell even has a theme song?!"

Desco, apparently. The narration is no longer sure what is even going on.

Desco hums a few bars and bursts into song.

"There was a shoggoth that was cute and Desco was her name-o! D-E-S-C-O! D-E-S-C-O! D-E-S-C-O! And Desco was her name-o!"

And she's not gonna stop singing until she hears her name.

"Shut up, weirdo! Desco! Whatever! Ugh!"

He starts sulking with all the sulk a pre-teen can muster. Which is comparatively a lot.

[tyrantball]

"Basic courtesy is important between family members."

She suddenly sounds extremely smug.

"Please remember that, Yosuke."

[bakegarasu]

He flinches at the mention of his first name, but doesn't respond.

[tyrantball]

"Okay! Home sweet home! Normally Desco would let you down, but you're still busy being crazy, so she is just going to stuff ice cream in you until you're too tired to move."

And just going inside now - don't mind the dragon skulls on the fenceposts - and heading for the freezer.

"Hmm...Desco is pretty sure her Triple Chocolate is the only one large enough to work. You're gonna owe her once you're sane, Uncle Otoha!"

"... You're super weird."

He's not sure how to take all of this, really.

[tyrantball]

Desco waves one hand at him idly.

"Whatever you say, Uncle Otoha. Now open your mouth."

Ice creeeeeeam.

He closes his mouth tightly in defiance.

PUPPY EYES.

"Pleeeeease open?"

"No!"

Of course, he has to open his mouth to yell.
