Summary: Someone new has arrived, and she is confused and angry.

[During the 13th Hour, in the Capricorn District, a great battle rages.

In the middle of the barren field, there is a scientist in a white lab coat.  He has his arms held out, and appears to be trying to say something.  Unfortunately, his words are cut off every several seconds by the second combatant: a teenage girl wearing a pure white wedding dress trimmed in purple and metallic heeled boots, with a rather curious metal horn protruding from her head.  She bellows in rage, slamming the end of a large mace into the man over and over again.]

Uooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh...!

[Curiously, her frenzied assault seems to be doing just as much damage to her as it is to the man.  Every time she howls in rage and spins her mace around to swing it into the man's chest, the girl herself lets out a grunt as she's knocked back a few steps, as if she'd gotten the wind knocked out of her.  Anyone approaching closely enough may catch a few words of what the man is trying to say, between successive attacks and as the girl begins to tire from exertion.]

Sarah slings her God Arc over her shoulder and walks a bit closer, directing Fenrir to cast Dia on the strange girl - then, since it's not really a very strong spell, she casts it again.

"Are you alright?"

[The girl stiffens as the healing energy washes over her, clearly suspicious at this sudden infusion of power. Her head whips around to look in Sarah's direction, her long red bangs still obscuring her face. Standing up slowly, she waves a hand at the other girl, shaking her head.]

Sarah stops immediately, taking a step backwards to give the other some space.

"My name is Sarah."

Moving slowly, she places her God Arc on the ground behind her.

[Berserker eyes the weapon suspiciously, keeping one hand securely wrapped around her mace. This girl doesn't seem like an enemy, but she's learned not to trust people so easily. Unable to form coherent words due to her clouded mind, she simply lets out a low groan.]

Uuuuuuuu... ahhhh...

Sarah is reminded of Shio before she was fully capable of speech, which gives her something of an idea. Holding up her right hand, which is completely empty, she reaches inside her coat slowly with her left, withdrawing a can of some kind. Leaning over, she places on the ground as far away from her as she can manage, then straightens up and steps backward, dragging the God Arc with her.

[Berserker peers curiously at the can, looking back at Sarah before cautiously proceeding forward and picking it up.]

It's a can of soda. It's colored to look like a jack-o-lantern, and it has the words 'CARAMEL APPLE' written on the side in English. Sarah does her best gentle smile as she slowly sits down cross-legged on the ground.

"See? It's unopened. Safe."

[Resting her mace against her side, Berserker slowly pops the can open and takes a drink. She knows what soda is thanks to the Grail's magic, so once she's established that this stuff actually tastes good, she quickly drinks the rest of it down.]

Sarah remains seated.

"Do you want any more healing?"

[She shakes her head 'no' before looking around. At the ground beneath her feet first, and then throughout the park area, as if something she expected to see was missing.]

"What are you looking for? May I help?"

This is actually pretty nostalgic for Sarah - it reminds her of the early days with Shio, with a few differences - for one, the strange girl didn't chew on the can after she was done with the soda, which already puts her one up on Shio's first encounter with the stuff.

[Frustrated, she shakes her head again. What she's looking for is far too complicated to explain with just gestures and noises.]

"Ah...watch me."

Very slowly, Sarah reaches up and taps behind her ear as she activates her COMP.

"You should have one of these too - do you know how to write? We can communicate that way."

[Berserker blinks and nods briefly, lifting one hand to move her bangs out of the way and the other to fiddle behind her ear. The COMP visor comes down over her now clearly visible heterochromatic eyes before she dips her head and lets her hair flop down over the front again.]

Sarah types on an invisible keyboard as she establishes a connection between their COMPs and sends a test message.

Hello.

[And now, finally, an opportunity for her intelligence to come through where words failed her.]

Sarah smiles a little - she was on the mark as to the girl's actual intelligence, which was encouraging. In order to understand others, you needed to communicate, after all.

As I said before, my name is Sarah. Is there anything you'd like to know?

Did you summon me here?

No. You were summoned here by a being named Philemon to act as a protector for this city.

No matter what others call him, Sarah is never going to use the word 'god'.

Nobody has witnessed the actual arrival process as far as I'm aware, and I came here through a freestanding portal, so I'm afraid I can't answer that question. I'm sorry.
