I Got a Little Bit Longer
Who: Soujirou Seta and Teddie
Where: Virgo Ward; Junes
When: March 2nd, just before noon
Summary: Meeting again for the first time
Warnings: N/A
While it had taken him a few tries to get on the right tram to get to the Virgo ward, Soujirou was still in rather good spirits when he finally arrived. It didn't seem too unlike the Akihabara he was familiar with from back home, although comparing it to Elder Tale's Akiba would be a stretch.
He wasn't looking particularly for anything fancy today, but the department store did catch his attention. Clothes was something he'd been meaning to have a look at, even if he did like his kimono and hakama ensemble from the game turned reality. Such was why he wore it now, his sky blue haori quite eye-catching. Since it was daytime he didn't wear his armor, but although he also appeared to be without his weapons, he stowed them in his magic bag which was slung over his shoulder, a convenient thing to have if you ran into any trouble and needed to surprise someone.
The attention he received was usually in the form of girlish giggles, and he received more than a few shy greetings from passing young ladies, those of which he returned with his naturally charming smile. It made him miss his guildmates, and it was still a little unusual not having them around all the time, but he hid those feelings well.
"...hmmm. Now where do I start..."
Soujirou glanced around. When was the last time he'd been inside a mall like this? He smiled crookedly as he found it funny how quickly he'd become accustomed to more fantastical venues.

"...hmmm. Now where do I start..."
Soujirou glanced around. When was the last time he'd been inside a mall like this? He smiled crookedly as he found it funny how quickly he'd become accustomed to more fantastical venues.

While he was wandering through the shops, the giggles of the girls caught his attention. What was wrong? Were they directed at him? He curiously searched for the source only to find out they weren't aimed at him. In fact, they all seemed to be directed at one particular guy. How was this fair? This guy had to have some kind of secret.
"Rawwwr!"
He walked up to the guy in question with a determined look on his face.
"Tell me your secret!"
no subject
Blinking, Soujirou turned around, hearing footsteps of someone's approach. He blinked at the blond-haired boy that had come up to him, wondering if he'd done something wrong. What was with that look on this person's face? And...wait. That voice sounded vaguely familiar, but the person in question didn't look like anyone he'd met around here before.
"....huh?"
He looked blankly at Teddie. "...secret?"
no subject
So he went back to dramatic posing, pointing his finger at Soujiro.
"All the cute girls were giggling while they saw you. How did you do that?"
no subject
"Cute girls..? Ah!" Scratching his head, he glanced back down the way he'd come. Some of the girls had already gone, but there were a couple yet there, who upon noticing him glance their way, let out a 'kyaa~' before waving shyly at him. "You mean them..? Although I'm not sure what you mean by 'that'..."
no subject
Teddie puffed his cheeks a little. How could this guy not know what he was talking about? He even gave him a hint! A very big one at that. It was so big almost everything else was invisible. Though apparently his view of this might be a bit wrong.
"I mean that you are grabbing their attention so easily, of course"
no subject
"Oh, that! I wasn't doing anything, really..." he admitted. "But if you meet someone's eyes, it's only appropriate to at least greet them, isn't it?"
no subject
"All you do is greet them?"
But he doubted that would work this well. Teddie had his sparkles, and they did work their wonders to charm the people, and..
He gasped. He had to greet then!
"Hello!"
This was directed at Soujiro, yes.
no subject
"Well, yes..." he said, somewhat amazed at how easily the boy shifted gears when it came to moods.
Blink.
He was the one being greeted? Was this boy just trying it out? What an odd one..!
Soujirou smiled. "Hello."
no subject
So this guy greeted him back! Did that mean it worked? Perhaps he should better confirm this?
"So are you charmed by me now?"
Teddie sent a few sparkles out to make his point clearer.
no subject
Even though he'd suggested something earlier, Soujirou didn't quite follow what Teddie was getting at by this experiment. He smiled cluelessly, head tilting. Oh, those sparkles were certainly a nice touch, but...what? Charmed?
"...if I said no, would you be upset?"
no subject
"Grr! Of course I'm upset then! How could you not be charmed by moi!"
no subject
"Well...maybe it's because you're doing it intentionally? A-and anyway, we were already talking to each other, so saying 'hello' in the middle of a conversation is kind of strange..."
no subject
Didn't this guy take him seriously at all? That was not nice! Not nice at all, in fact, it was very mean. He calmed down a little, but there was still a small hint of anger in his eyes.
"How do I do it unintentionally?"
Hmm. Perhaps he had a point there. Perhaps it was strange to say hello in the middle of a conversation.
no subject
"It's not so difficult. When you're walking around, and if you happen to see someone, then it's always polite to offer a greeting."
no subject
"Alright. I'll greet everyone from now on!"
That will be very hard work at Junes once he is back, but he could do it!

Really, Teddie was such a people-lover, he hadn't really a problem with being friendly and open to anyone. Even if he still preferred to do it mostly with the female population.
no subject
Soujirou was quite sincere about everything he said, too, but that was how he generally was.
no subject
Never mind that he had a girlfriend now. He's still a bit lost when it came to the whole concept... and the fact he still had no idea what scoring actually meant, to be honest.
no subject
"That shouldn't be your focus! After all, girls are people, so you should treat them as such! Be nice to them. They have feelings, and if you really care about them, then you won't have to try figuring out too much because you'll just know."
no subject
He found Soujiro's suggestion a bit awkward. Oh, perhaps that was a hard-to-get strategy! That might be working for some people, that was true. He hits with his fist into his open palm.
"You are a genius!"
no subject
Not that Soujirou could say anything otherwise, given that it didn't seem to matter what he did; girls just tended to notice him. But he wore his heart on his sleeve, and he was always sincere with his friends.
Teddie confused him then with his remark, prompting an arch of a brow. "Eh?"
no subject
Why hadn't he thought about this earlier? That was surely how Sensei also got all the girls to notice him. When he thought about it, Yosuke always tried too hard, the smell of desperation was almost clinging to him. That must be what has turned him down so often.
"I meant what I said. You are a genius!"
no subject
"I don't think I said anything special. But I hope that things will work out better for you." He did mean that, too.
"Ah, that's right. I don't think I caught your name! I'm Soujirou. Soujirou Seta."
no subject
This guy was really a nice guy. Teddie stretched his hands into the air to emphasize his happiness.
"Wait, Soujiro... Seta..."
Right, that name that was so eerily similar to the one of his sensei! He knew that one!
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
He pointed his finger at the other man in an over-dramatic action.
no subject
"Eh? Eh? What, did I do something???"
no subject
Oh, now that he was thinking about it... right, he probably couldn't know. Even if his voice was unique! Then again his voice did change a little in human form, so it was probably hard to recognize him.
"It's me. Teddie!"
no subject
Teddie. Teddie... He knew that name-
"Ah!! You're that Teddie?? But...you look so different..! I thought you were a bear!"
no subject
"I'm the one and only Teddie."
Teddie huffed proudly, stemming his hands into his hips as if he could prove his point that way. It was definitely a 'look at me how awesome I am'-kind of reaction, really.
"I am a bear! I'm also a handsome boy! And sometimes, I'm even a beautiful girl!"
no subject
Soujirou chuckled a little, offering a bow of his head, perhaps in apology. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I wasn't aware that you could become more than just a bear. O-or a girl, for that matter. Uh...why would that be?"
no subject
The obvious answer was that Teddie didn't really care what he is, as long as he is liked by other people. Perhaps that was exactly the answer he was about to give Souji.
"To win the hearts of all the people, of course!"
no subject
He shook his head, looking back at Teddie. What sort of answer had he expected? Really, it made sense, if you didn't think too hard about it.
"Ah, I see...!"
And so far as Soujirou was concerned, that was all he needed to understand. Why complicate matters?
no subject
Now, that he has laid everything open for Soujiro - not that Teddie was a particularly secretive person, except for the fact that he was a Shadow - his expectations grew intensely. This guy seemed like a nice guy! There was no way he couldn't win his heart!
no subject
The question was still a baffling one to him. Usually even the girls he knew wouldn't ask such a thing, although he'd find it easier to answer them. "I'm...not sure..?" he replied helplessly.
