It wasn't exactly surprising to hear him say that it wasn't hard for him to sacrifice his life her her or her mother. It wasn't exactly easy to hear, either though. While she was happy that he would do something like that for her sake because he cared, she also hated the idea that she could ruin his life. He wouldn't blame her for that, of course, but Athena wasn't as okay with it as he was.
"But... You were almost executed for something you didn't do. Just because you were protecting me. How could I possibly be okay with you taking the blame? I didn't know... I didn't know about it until after the trial. I thought there was still time...," she started, tears rolling down her face.
"That's why I promised myself. I promised to figure out a way to save you," she told him. Sure she liked drawing and robots, but once that happened, she abandoned those interests. She rarely drew anymore and focused her studies on Psychology. There had been so much that had gone on. So many fears and regrets. He had done so much for her. She wanted to return the favor. She wanted to make things better for him now that he was free.
