Who: Athena Cykes [
cykedfists ] & YOU! YEAH YOU! :D
Where:Simon Blackquill's apartment Everywhere? IDK
Summary: Athena arrives to Hinoto-ri confused. (Hurhurhur)
Warnings: Dual Destinies spoilers in comments most likely
From the moment that Athena arrived here in Hinoto-ri with that man who appeared to her to the moment she regained consciousness, she had no idea what was going on really just.. what to do. Obviously the last time she feel asleep, she was safe and secure in her own bed. The moment she woke up, she found herself in what it seemed to be.... nothingness. She rubbed her eyes, just trying to understand what she really saw. It was possible that she was still asleep.
Once her eyes adjusted from to her surroundings around her, she noticed the particular man. This place was not her apartment and the man was not familiar. He certainly looked odd, but she's seen weirder clients/witnesses than this man. At the very least, he had manners. Only partially hearing what he said, she managed to get the gist of everything. So this man was named Philemon.... and he was... What? What exactly was 'a dweller between consciousness and unconsciousness'? Once he asked her to state her name, she figured it was just best to answer the man. Introducing herself as Athena Cykes, she noticed how apparently learning her name was a pleasing thing...
Hearing that apparently, not a lot of people remembered who they are here was a surprising notion. Did everyone else who came here come here with amnesia or something? Not that she had a lot of time to really think about it because just as soon as she was told that, she had been given a gift of some sort. Philemon called it a "Persona." She had been hoping that he'd explain just what it was or what it did to her, but obviously he had no desire to tell her. The notion of having many masks or at least his metaphor was made her wonder just what this place really was. All she knew was he was really vague. That bothered her not knowing much because he failed to explain things to her.
There was no point trying to prod him for more details though. Man was she sleepy. it could have been the affects of this place or just waking up moments before all of this happened. Regardless of her actions to stay awake, she drifted off to darkness only to wake up again in a completely different place. Come to think of it... now that she was aware of her surroundings again, she came to realize that her hair was down. Well, considering she had been sleeping in her own bed when she'd arrived here that didn't seem so weird.
However.... to find herself in another bed all together, she just hoped that she'd just gone through some weird dream. Sitting up in the bed, rubbing her eyes, she realized that it hadn't been a dream at all. All she could think was, 'Fuck.' So this did happen. She glanced next to her to realize that.... She wasn't in the bed alone. Noticing that familiar, fluffy black hair, she was almost afraid to find out if it really was who she thought it was. Upon taking a closer look, she froze. Her face turned a bright red, matching her messy bed head hair color. It was Simon. She was sleeping in the same bed as Simon!
Freaking out, she fell back and off the bed. Causing a loud thunk due to falling out of the bed, she covered her face in embarrassment. What was she doing in the same bed as Simon and why was he here too?
"Just what is going on here?!" she blurted out.
[LATER ON]
After getting her bearings of what this place was supposed to be and a run-through of the basics from Simon, she figured it would be best for her to explore a little. If she was going to be stuck here, she was going to get familiar with this place. She knew that there was no proven way out willingly, but she couldn't help but worry if Apollo and Phoenix were worried about her disappearance. She really had no idea where she was going. She probably should have been paying attention to her surroundings, huh?

We're terrible - I mean.
"Mnngh... go back to your room, Ath -"
... Wait. His eyes shot open and he fell back, before a hand went up to cover his face.
"... I have had quite enough of waking up in the same bed as someone else..." Dammit, Hinoto-Ri. He pulled himself out of bed, hair in a messy tangle down his back. "I suppose this is a poor time to welcome you, Cykes-dono..."
:'D
"I didn't expect to fall asleep in my apartment and wake up in the same bed with another person....," she let out a deep sigh yet again.

"This city is called Hinoto-Ri. We were dragged here by a being named Philemon, apparently. There are many others here from various worlds - many of them with phenomena we would call fantastical. Not all residents here are human, either. We've been gifted with the ability to call upon an aspect of ourselves known as 'Persona' in order to fight the creatures that threaten this place." He paused for a moment in order to let all of that sink in.
"... Of course, I don't expect you to take that without evidence, so..." There's the sound of shattering glass and a brief blue light, before a brilliantly-colored bird appears before him. It floats there for a moment before disappearing. "I understand all of this is a lot to take in."

Listening carefully to him explain what exactly this place was, she remained silent as she took it all in. Well, that certainly helped. Philemon hadn't really explained anything in depth. To be honest, she really wasn't sure if she understood everything just yet. She was sure it would come to her over time, at the very least. When the bird showed up, she couldn't help but be surprised.
"I see.... And let me guess. There's no way out," she finally said, letting out a sigh. If there had been a way, she was sure Simon would have been gone already.
no subject
There's also... that issue.
"People can come from different points in time here, as well. That means I have to ask... does the name 'the Phantom' mean anything to you?"
no subject
The 'Phantom' mean anything to her? Oh, it meant everything to her. Every time she even heard the name, it made her remember bad memories.
"Yes, I'm well aware of who the 'Phantom' is. It had just been a week since the trial and Apollo was finishing up the paperwork," she said.
Usually she would have helped with that, but this case was especially special to Apollo. He insisted on doing it all himself. She couldn't blame him, though. It was just nice knowing that everything had been taken care of and put to an end. Although, she couldn't help but feel that he wasn't mentioning the 'Phantom' just for casual talking.

[LATER ON]
... Well okay, he's trying to clamber his way up a tree to get to a cat, but it's the thought that counts. There's very few homicides to investigate in this place, after all. No spy gadgets, no expert jumps- he's just being very clumsy and careful about it.]
no subject
[Well, if she saw somebody, she'd ask. It just so happened that she did find somebody, but it's definitely not somebody she wanted to see. And... why was he in a tree..?]
You! What are you doing here?!

-Ack!

T-that was a close one...!
[He casts a glance sideways. Athena Cykes. Of course it had to be her. Hinoto-Ri just seems to be slowly filling itself with people who could pose a potential threat to him. Still, he's determined to keep up his charade no matter what.
He's not letting anyone take Bobby Fulbright away from him.]

"Hello babe! You must be new here, Michel hasn't seen you around before."
no subject
"That's right. I just got here," she started, "I'm Athena Cykes."
no subject
"Eikichi Mishina, but you can just call me Michel, babe!" He stepped in a little closer. "Do you need help? He's been here for a while and knows the place pretty well..."
no subject
"It's nice to meet you then, Michel," she said, ignoring the fact he just called her babe again. "Oh well... Simon told me the basics, but learning more about this place would probably be a good idea," she said.

"It's okay. I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention," she said.

What did he mean by that? Surely her world was odd but she'd never heard something like that. That was it. Her world. It was just as possible that it was normal in which ever place he came from.
