Summary: The Zodiac Monster Circus has arrived!
When: 19th of April, 11AC
Warnings: Evil clowns, body horror, terrifying circus-themed monstrosities.


It starts with four massive circus tents assembling in the four corners of the city. As strange clowns pour out of the tents, hooting and laughing with sadistic glee, a booming voice echoes out across Hinoto-Ri.

"LLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAADIES ANNNNNNND GGGGGGGGGENTLEMEN! WELCOME TO THE GRRRRRRRRREATEST SHOW ON EARTH! IN THE SCORPIO DISTRICT: THE ARIES CARNIVAL'S WORLD-FAMOUS ANIMAL ACT! IN THE CANCER DISTRICT: THE HHHHOUSE OF MIRRRRRORRRS! IN TAURUS, THE UNUSUAL AND DISTRACTING FREEEEEEAKSHOW! AND LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, IN AQUARIUS, A CALVACADE OF WHIMSY AND DARING WITH A DUAL-BOOKED SHOW OF CLOWNS AND OUR VERY OWN HIGH WIRE ACT!"

The circus has come to town! Jolly fun for everyone*!

...Walking into a creepy circus's animal tent probably isn't one of the best decisions I'll ever make.

[Phantom Girl glances around briefly before stepping inside.]

Probably not! The crack of a whip greets Phantom Girl as an eerie blue glow suffuses the tent. The source of the light moves forward, revealing it to be a trio of spectral animals, their forms blurring together as each snaps and snarls at the other two, seeking dominance over their shared form.

Franziska was... wondering what these tents were as she wandered into one of them. They seemed wholly out of place with the architecture of the rest of the city and it showed. It was something that warranted further investigation. Unfortunately, the one she wandered into was the animal tent.

And she didn't even know the kind of danger she was in, as a newcomer.

[phantom_envoy]

"Huh."

She floats up into the air a little bit as she moves towards the spectra trio.

"Well. If you're going to fight each other, that's fine by me. You mind showing me where the evil clowns are coming from before I move on?"

Being behind her, she hasn't quite noticed Franziska yet.

The Oh My has noticed her, however - especially the whip she carries. With a growl, the lion and the tiger retreat, leaving the bear in charge of their form. The phantasm lunges forward, swiping at Franziska with a massive, spectral paw.

Franziska is in mortal danger.

Again. Because once upon a time she was shot in the shoulder by one Shelley de Killer and what first went through her head was that she doesn't even know what she's facing. It was big. And seemed not to be made of something not solid that she couldn't quite hit. It terrified her, in the deepest corners of her heart because she would die, in this place, without anybody back in her home world knowing she was gone.

But she is Franziska von Karma, and though she is afraid, she will fight.

So she stands taller, ready to crack her whip to hit the spectral bear before time seemed to slow and a voice whispered in her ear the name of the Greek goddess of law. The woman who knew justice was blind, who carried a sword and scales and always struck true.

"Themis..." she said, almost to herself, not knowing why the word would help her and before her emerged the spectral figure of a woman, clothed in Hellenic robes with a sword and scales to parry the spectral paw with a skillful slash of the sword. It was taking all of Franziska's effort to keep standing.

"You are Themis?" she asked the woman and the woman gave a near imperceptible nod in reply. "I am an agent of justice, I cannot be cut down!"

Themis, understanding, stood between Franziska and the beast.

"...You OK?

"I don't think agents of justice actually have any special protection against mauling, so you might want to back up a little. Or get a little whip action going on."

Having said her piece, Phantom Girl flies in from the right with a kick aimed at the lion head.

The Oh My staggers at Phantom Girl's kick, form shifting over to the tiger as it continues to lunge at Franziska.

[stringent]

Now there is a big spectral creature between her and this... THING. Franziska proceeds forward with a little more something to her, having heart Phantom Girl's words. She takes out her whip and cracks it hard to hit the spectral tiger. Themis stood behind her, striking straight afterwards with her sword.

((Whoops, I meant bear last response!))

The girl hovers for a moment as Franziska attacks. It's not exactly clear how strong this creature is, though, and just in case the newly awakened Persona isn't enough to down it, she'll follow the sword-strike by diving through the creature, grabbing on its tail, and attempting to pull it head over heels backwards.

The Oh My shifts over to the lion body as Franziska attacks; however, it quickly becomes obvious it's not actually particularly strong, its spectral form slowly disintegrating as Phantom Girl pulls on it. The entire time, the creature ignores Phantom Girl, fixated monomanically on Franziska and her whip.

As it fades into nothingness, it desperately claws at the floor in a frantic attempt to attack the prosecutor, producing only a sad, pathetic scrabbling noise.
