Summary: The Zodiac Monster Circus has arrived!
When: 19th of April, 11AC
Warnings: Evil clowns, body horror, terrifying circus-themed monstrosities.

It starts with four massive circus tents assembling in the four corners of the city. As strange clowns pour out of the tents, hooting and laughing with sadistic glee, a booming voice echoes out across Hinoto-Ri.

"LLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAADIES ANNNNNNND GGGGGGGGGENTLEMEN! WELCOME TO THE GRRRRRRRRREATEST SHOW ON EARTH! IN THE SCORPIO DISTRICT: THE ARIES CARNIVAL'S WORLD-FAMOUS ANIMAL ACT! IN THE CANCER DISTRICT: THE HHHHOUSE OF MIRRRRRORRRS! IN TAURUS, THE UNUSUAL AND DISTRACTING FREEEEEEAKSHOW! AND LAST, BUT NOT LEAST, IN AQUARIUS, A CALVACADE OF WHIMSY AND DARING WITH A DUAL-BOOKED SHOW OF CLOWNS AND OUR VERY OWN HIGH WIRE ACT!"

The circus has come to town! Jolly fun for everyone*!

WAIT NO STOP.

"Hold on! Let's not be hasty here!" COME BACK CHILD. This is not a good thing! If anything, Link succeeds in making Jonathan run after him. He'd be kinda partial towards getting Lailah to fly forward and stop him, if she didn't have... problems with dizziness (hi Mictlan!).

As the pair chases after the conglomeration of meat and glass, they'll notice something unusual - the mirrors ahead of them have all shattered, large chunks of them missing. Trapped inside are more of the twisted Reflections, slumped over in various poses that indicate that the missing chunks of mirror glass correspond to missing chunks of them.

Whatever it is they're chasing, it's getting bigger.

"Come back here!" Even if the kid wasn't, well, a kid, Jonathan still wouldn't endorse rushing off so recklessly! Such an impetuous approach will only cause pain.

Lots of pain. Jonathan tries to run faster, catching up- even if they lands hit head-first in danger, hell no is he letting the boy face whatever demonic monstrosity was up ahead alone.

"We can't let it get away!" Link shouted back as he pursued the thing. "It might hurt someone!"

Like, you know, a small boy in a green cap, who wasn't paying much attention to the broken mirrors and mess the creature was leaving behind on its rampage.

There are, naturally, no people in the Mirror Hall besides Link and Jonathan, so unless Link trips on a puddle of blood - or mirror fragments - it is mostly just an uneventful chase to the end.

Whatever the creature actually is, it currently resembles a mass of fused flesh and broken mirrors shaped vaguely like a cobra three times the length of an adult man. As there's nowhere left to go (and no more mirrors it can absorb to increase its size), it coils up on itself before flaring its hood and attempting to hiss at the pair.

All that comes out is a wet squelching sound and a spray of blood, however - rather than a forked tongue, it possesses one of those long, whiplike tendrils the twisted Reflections used as limbs.

"You don't need to go after it! The-"

...Oh. Uh, too late. Oh, god fucking dammit that looks like a mess a boy shouldn't be seeing this HE NEEDS TO BEAT IT UP.

"Stay back!" Normally, he'd ask if Link could fight, but after bolting down the mirror hall trying not to slam into a wall made him a bit short on breath and patience. First, he decided to Bufudyne the fuck out of it- better restrict that movement...!

Oh dear. The Bufudyne bounces off the Mirror of Glass and Blood, striking Jonathan directly.

Ouch, fuck.

Do you know when you're a kinda high level, reflected spells basically kill or at least, almost kill you? Because. Yeah. That's kinda what's happened here.

BOOM. He crashes right back into more mirrors, and for a moment, he realizes his entire body is icy and numb. His commlink with Takakage has been broken off, and everything hurts. At least Pallas Athena reacts quickly and tries a safe Megido to cast it away for the moment, but he's too stunned to summon Throne to heal himself.

And here Link was fresh out of red potions, but the least he could do was get between Jonathan and the monster. He hoisted his shield up as an extra layer of protection, holding his sword out behind him.

It began to glow blue.

If only Jonathan was aware enough to notice.
