Link is in the park at an odd time, for him: the daytime. He's got his school uniform on and is brandishing his sword about in a fairly methodical manner--the mannerisms of a trained swordsman.

Still, it'd be nice if he had something other than air to fight with.

Hey. Hey big bro. There's a ninja watching you from the bushes.

Wait no that's no ninja that's little bro. But he does stand up and head out to watch the other Link, taking his sword out and swinging it, mimicking the other Link. His swings are significantly less polished and methodical - but they're fast and accurate.

As this is Link, he eventually executes a spin attack.

And, naturally, sees the other Link.

So it's not so much a spin attack as it is a half-circle attack.

"Link?"

He grins a bit, and does a spin attack in return. He can do that too!

"Hi."

"Did you want to practice?"

"Yeah."

No way big bro he's got this.

"Okay. Was there anything in particular you wanted to work on?"

It's a pretty nice day out and, normally, Kaito would just be walking past the park just for the sake of going out for a walk, but uh...

He was lured by the DUB DUCK HIYAHs, okay.

"...Oh, hey!" It's that guy...what was his name? Something easy to remember...Lank? Lunk?

Who lowers his sword to the side, turns, and greets Kaito.

"Hi!"

It's close enough. At any rate, Kaito wanders over, somewhat curious.

"You bored or just getting rusty?" He'd be lying if he said he was used to seeing actual swordsmen fighting with real swords, so there's definitely some curiosity happening.

"I just need to practice," he replies.

So getting rusty, maybe? But not really?

[awww_yeeeeeaaaah]

"Cool!" And at this point, he probably realizes that the staring and sudden interest might be a bit weird.

"Ah, sorry, I've never seen actual swordplay before."

Meetra had had a similar idea herself. Training with a lightsaber was tricky and required lots of space unless you suddenly wanted to share a double-size apartment with your neighbor. She passed by the green-clad kid with a nod and looked around for another suitable space for a moment.

Link waves back--and after some hesitation: "Don't you live in the same building as I do?"

"I think so. Didn't we meet in the laundry room?" she asked, actually a little uncertain. She'd seen two different kids around who looked pretty much the same...she'd assume they were the same if she hadn't seen them together, too.

"Yeah," he says with a bit of embarrassment. Because she'd caught him sleeping.

"I didn't figure you for a swordfighter then, but you're looking pretty good out here," she observed. "Did you need a hand training at all?"

"I wouldn't mind. Do you have a sword?"

Weird noises was definitely an attraction for Kais. Besides, what was this guy? The closest match his built in systems would give him was an Eldar and he seemed a little too primitive to be an Eldar, at least according to what the Tau knew of them.

But, ugh, he was using a sword. Why did so many people revel in close combat?

"You there."

[sky_child]

Shouldn't you know better than to startle a boy with a sword? He throws a look over his shoulder first, then turns his whole body to face...er...

"Yes?"

No, he doesn't really know better. Kais will learn in time but was still pretty ignorant on these kind of things.

"What are you? You are not human but seem too primitive to be Eldar."

Oh. That question.

"I am human."

There would be an incredulous look here if he wasn't wearing a helmet.

"....I find that highly doubtful."

"It's because of the ears, isn't it?"

It appears that Link has experience with this kind of conversation. Experience he doesn't like.

It was so startlingly green here. The manicured grass scratched at the bare skin on her legs - Klara paid it little mind. She was too enthralled in her gawking. That's when she glimpses Link.

People with knives were never up to anything good, in her experience. But the sight of him expertly striking at empty air, in midday with no care for how it might look.. Klara carefully stalked around him in a half-circle, giving him plenty of time to see her approaching and plenty of space so that she wouldn't be in the way of.. whatever he was doing.

She tried to put on her best "nonthreatening waif girl" look, once she was close enough to be heard.

"Hello. Are you fighting someone I can't see?"

"No," he says, lowering his sword. She did right, approaching that slowly. Link's kind of scary when he's still in fighting mode. "I was just practicing."
