Who: Anant, Kaito

Where: Pisces Apartment Complex - 6th & 7th Floors specifically
Summary: Anant goes to visit the 'new friend' they made, and ends up just bugging Kaito instead. People can bump into them before they reach the apartment though.
Warnings: You know the drill with Anant at this point. Prepare for sudden philosophical talks and other weirdness!

Anant was in a somewhat chipper mood as they prowled the hallways with a heavy plastic bag in their hands. They seemed to be moving in a rather erratic path, zigzagging along the hallway and spontaneously leaping into a little hop, or a skip, or a jump - it was, needless to say, very bizarre.

Anyone want to confront the obvious weirdo?

Anant jostled the bag slightly to one side as they lifted up their hand, tapping the door before them with one thin finger. Yes, this was the correct door. One floor below, one room behind. Their new friend lay behind here!

Of course, observations here told them that making friends usually required gifts of sort! That was what was told to them. 'This time of year gifts are given to friends'! It was rather perplexing why a certain time demanded gift giving, but far be it from them to question human customs! It was nice though. A show of appreciation to new friends! Anant would give Viridi a present as well but...

Well. They weren't sure if Viridi existed as something beyond a voice.

Nodding to themselves, Anant curled their fingers into fists and abruptly began pounding the door loudly and obnoxiously.

It wasn't like he'd really left, to be fair- even if his sight was limited in scope, he had only gone so far as to obtain a few things. ...which he unceremoniously dumped on to the table as he bzorted back in to the apartment. Noisy, yes, but he'd gotten several kinds of teas and a bunch of hokey-looking cold cures.

It took him a moment too long to stare at the apartment's company, tilting his head and making his way around the table with a quicker pace than he typically moved in.

"...Anant?"

Well, he remembered the name at least!

Anant had been quite happily chatting about such and such human in such and such picture, on such and such page when Alcor zapped into the apartment. They gave a slight twitch of surprise, tilting their head as yellow eyes scrutinised the newcomer.

That puppy like enthusiasm recovered quickly though.

"Ah, you must be the friend I had made on the network! Hello and good afternoon! I have brought a 'thank you for being my friend' present, and, 'a Christmas' present, as this is the time of year to give them. My apologies if I am mistaken about the subtle rules and nuances about it though."

"Hey," said a Kaito who was considerably less cranky-looking than he was this morning.

Hey Saiduq.

"Yes, I believe I am." Maybe. He remembers your name, at least, so huzzah! "I...feel we are on uneven footing, however. Had I anticipated gift-giving, I would have also readied one for you."

Almost awkwardly, Alcor picked up one of the decongestants off the table, handing it to Kaito gently.

"...for your illness." And then, to Anant again, "My gift to you, perhaps it could be my Shining One here?"

"There is no need to hand a gift over in return," Anant assured immediately, lifting their hands up in a placating manner, "But I do agree, Kaito has been a very enjoyable companion today. He is even humouring me by looking through my scrapbook. Very polite."

Anant snapped said scrapbook shut, settling it on their lap. "A gift of conversation, indeed. Do you wish to join?"

It took him a little bit to process what they were saying since he was busy reading what was in the decongestant, plus almost wanting to say that he's not a gift, Saiduq, gosh.

"Yeah, we were, um..." Kaito paused and tried to think. "Er...what were we talking about again?"

Kaito, you don't have to be a people pleaser when you're sick, go to bed.

"Last I spoke to you, we were discussing how you should be resting."

Alcor sounded oddly stern about that, eyes narrowing a little more as he tried to steer Kaito back towards the sleeping area.

"Please, give me one moment, Anant; I need to ensure my Shining One gets the rest he requires."

Anant set the scrapbook aside and rose to their feet, observing the scene before them with clear curiosity. Parental - Anant had observed this many times, and it never failed to make them feel strangely warm inside. Although a non-human adopting a human - didn't that mean there were emotions employed in there...? Did Alcor possess emotion?

Viridi did and she was a God like him.

...this world brought so many questions. Beings that weren't human with human-like traits...

"I understand," Anant said, pressing their hands against their mask with a soft sigh. "Parental duties come first!"

Saiduq stop it you're not his real da-...wait what did Anant say?

"P-Parental? Wait, he's...um..." Ugh, forget it, he was way too out of it, and besides, Saiduq could explain everything just fine by himself. Much as Kaito wanted the company, he just let Saiduq drag him to bed.

Alcor didn't respond to either Kaito's outburst, or Anant's comments- he simply ushered Kaito to bed with a wry frown. It didn't take long for him to return to his masked guest, however.

"If possible, can we can continue this discussion elsewhere, so my Shining One can get rest in quiet?"

The apartments were dinky, and he had a lot of questions for Anant. This would probably take a while...

"Certainly. Ill humans do require as much peace as possible," Anant agreed, tilting their head in acquiescence and moving to pick up the bag they had brought with them. Scrapbook was put away, their coat was zipped up, presenting themselves as ambiguous once more, and they pressed their hand against the bottom of their mask as if mimicking Alcor.

"Do you have a place in mind for us? Or shall we wander wherever our feet take us?"

"I would prefer to wander, yes. I've not many places I like to go."

A bit of a lie, but he was sort of protective of his favorite locations.

"If you have a favorite spot, please do guide me there. I enjoy seeing such things, myself. I imagine you are much the same way?"

Aaaand slowly moving to leave the apartment. Get well soon, shining ~~sun~~ son!

"I have many favourite spots! Let us try to visit them all together!"

Anant did not move slowly, instead they moved with a burst of enthusiastic energy, practically bounding over to the door and throwing it open - before hurriedly catching it before the handle slammed against the wall. Right, yes, they were to be quiet. Oops.

"Ah, let us go to the park first. The sky is clearest there, and it is full of life."
