Breaking into song three times all ready was beginning to grate on Ruri's nerves, luckily she was smart enough to not flip on her communicator for it but that added with being alone in a strange place on the Holiday had her feeling a bit blue. Sitting in the Aires district in one of the snow zones, looking across the street at the people in a hot zone Ruri blankly stared out into the world. Occasionally a semi translucent blue haired woman would appear and sit next to her but at these moments she just sighed and looked down.

Ruri sat there moving rather little, only occasionally fixing her scarf for a while before the blue figure spoke.

"Ruri-chan, maybe this isn't healthy... BOSON JUMP!"

With that there is a flash and the two vanish with the clap of air rushing in to fill a vacuum.

Moments later on Howell St. in the Taurus district outside the Blue Oyster Bar the usual playing of Bimbo Jet's "El Bimbo" is disrupted and a large commotion can be heard in the bar. Minutes later Ruri walks out with an irritated look.

"Baka baka..."

Death raises an eyebrow at the commotion. "Not really your scene?"

"I don't really know where I am. I was in the snow, then I was in a dark place with lots of strange men in leather. They didn't seem to want me in there though so I left."

"Generally a wise move when you find yourself among strangers in leather that don't want you around." It was amazing how many people she'd met from not figuring that one out.

"I'm just a small girl, its a good move to do that in general among strangers who don't want you around. Unless you have an armed guard or some sort of space battleship, but that's probably cheating."

"Can you normally bring a space battleship into a room with you?" It doesn't sound like it would terribly surprise her.

[electricyousei]

"If you don't care for the state of the walls afterwards you can."

[acapriciousthing]

She has to laugh at that. A far merrier sound than most people would expect from someone who only wears black. "Fair enough."

"You know, you aren't what I imagined when I thought of Death."

[acapriciousthing]

"Yeah... I get that a lot. Most people seem to expect the skeleton and scythe deal." Not that there was necessarily something wrong with that. It just really wasn't her style.

[electricyousei]

"No. That's not what I mean. I've seen the aftermath and I expected something more... That."

She sighs a bit.

[acapriciousthing]

"Dying is scary. I find that people need a friend then, most of all." She said it simply, but it had taken far too long to figure it out.

[electricyousei]

"I only hope if we have one, ours has the same attitude."

[acapriciousthing]

"If it helps, even the more traditional ones I've met have been nicer than most people expect." NOt that she was biased or anything.

"How many have you met?"

[acapriciousthing]

"Two, so far. A boy I met here and my..."

She trails off. Nouns are a problem.

Ruri tilts her head a bit and peers at her.

"Your?"

[acapriciousthing]

"Well, uh..." So much for composure. "There isn't really a word for 'skeleton I was fake married to and then after a year or so wound up actually getting romantically involved with.'"

For some reason.

"Oh. Adult things. I don't really know much about those."

Death: Not the Warden

[acapriciousthing]

"This particular one's bee new territory for us." Which was probably why this noun situation was far more complicated than it really should be.

[electricyousei]

"...Adult life seems incredibly complicated, you have my sympathy."

[acapriciousthing]

"It's a nice sort of complicated though. It's kinda fun to realize there are still surprises." She hadn't really expected it, at her age.

[electricyousei]

"I guess. I never was a fan of surprises."

[acapriciousthing]

"They're a bit of a rare treat after so long. Kinda fun." Okay, she had a bit of an odd perspective.

[electricyousei]

"Really? I found routine rarer where I come from."

[acapriciousthing]

"It's amazing what you get used to in a few billion years." Being alive tended more toward surprises, but still.

[electricyousei]

"Its highly unlikely I'll make it to 100 so once again I will defer to your experience."

Tagging as the Warden? On MY Friday night? It's more likely than you think.

"Not being mortal does tend to be a different perspective." It was easy to lose touch, really.

[electricyousei]

"Well, hopefully you have ways to keep grounded."

[acapriciousthing]

She smiles. "I do. I don't let myself forget, it only ends badly."

[electricyousei]

"......You don't know War by any chance do you?"

[acapriciousthing]

"No. Death knows a War, but I don't." THey spent a lot of time swapping stories. "One of my brothers is Destruction, if that counts."

[electricyousei]

"I'm not sure. Would a kitten make him more balanced? It was an odd thought, I apologize, but the grounding made me wonder if a kitten would help ground someone like that."

[acapriciousthing]

She laughs. Eerily accurate. "Destruction had a dog, actually. Until he gave him to Delirium. Death and I had a kitten in Mayfield."

[electricyousei]

"I bet that dog did a number to any lawn in its way."

[acapriciousthing]

"Lawns... poetry. He's quite the character."

[electricyousei]

Ruri nods a little bit.

"Well, if you meet a War, let me know, if there is anything that there are more of than people who want its kittens."

"I'll be sure to keep that in mind."
