Pisces Apartments 7-08, locked to KH cast
It wasn't long after seeing that notice on the network that Aqua took down the details and messaged the others before heading home early. Something about it was bothering her, though she did appreciate how this Suou was forthcoming with information. That would make it easier to come up with what to do or at least get on the same page with the others.

She began waiting for the others just outside her apartment, calming herself and going over the information in her mind. ...At least there's some hot chocolate ready.

Monday - Friday Nights; Capricorn District
It's almost funny how wandering in a dark area with possible danger everywhere was something she was far too used to at this point. At least it would be, but it's something consistent and she loved helping to protect others and maintain peace. As much as could be afforded.

Bother her?

Saturday-Sunday Nights; Nyx's Nightclub, Taurus District
If anyone had told her six years ago that she would be loving her job as a makeup artist at a club run by demons, she would have likely stared at them as though they spouted a second head. Though now it wasn't too far from the truth as she stood there in her... uniform. Oddly enough it isn't much less than what she normally wears, and the people she works with are... Okay no, she can't completely even think that.

Hat hiding her eyes somewhat, she still smiles faintly as she sets up her station. What? Did you think she was a dancer? Sorry, fanboys~ Only a makeup artist ~~unless someone sees her Lightbloom shotlock~~.

Afternoons, Capricorn or otherwise
Well, she was going to be entering the tournament when signups became available. Might as well practice while she could before having to work, right? Aqua was being discreet about it though, making sure no one was around when she began practicing not just with Eudora or Tatsu Blaze, but her strongest spells if it came down to it.

Which is why she was in Capricorn; the small forest and vast plain were perfect for practicing without hurting anyone who could accidentally stumble across her. Not to mention negate a lot of property damage. She was not here to cause the destruction of city property, after all. Her job patrolling here at night at least gave her some familiarity with the area, too.

Of course, it didn't stop her from practicing elsewhere with the more minor skills. ...Bother? Be brave enough to sit from a safe distance to gawk/enjoy popcorn/whathaveyou?

...She was beginning to miss her home castle, either way.

He doesn't mind her fixing anything. It just seemed like, since they saw each other periodically, they might as well get to know each other, right?

"Are you on break now? I hope I'm not interrupting anything..."

"Mm. Most are performing right now, so I doubt anyone will need some help for at least a few minutes." It was still considerate of him to ask, though. She appreciated the courtesy when not all of those here would be. "Not really. I was just going to see if any of the other patrons were being rowdy."

No, that totally wasn't a twinkle in her eye just then.

"Well, I won't keep you if things get rough." He smiled a little. "Ah, I just wanted to say hello and to ask your name. I think we live in the same apartment complex, so it seems a shame not to at least know names. I'm Minato Arisato."

Well, no one seems to be coming by, so looks like someone is in the clear this round. "Really?" But then, thinking about it, it was a rather large apartment complex. She seemed a little amused that she didn't recognize that. Oops. "My name's Aqua. It's nice to meet you, Arisato-san."

He'd seen her in coming in and out of the apartment a few times, so well, it was a bit of an assumption, but he thought it was likely accurate. Besides, it's more or less a fifty-fifty shot, right?

"Pisces, right? It's nice to meet you, too, Aqua-san."

"Mm. Seventh floor, actually." The only reason she felt safe in saying that much? Because the same reason she wasn't afraid to head into this district on a Full Moon night. Not to mention nothing seems off about his aura.

"Sixth, for me." Aqua really doesn't seem the time to go rob and axe murder him in his sleep, either. But his tone takes on a teasing tone as he adds, "So which one is your primary occupation here? Making Yu-san and the others look more like girls or taking care of the rowdy demons?"

Aaand cue the mental keysmash and slight case of flailing. Yeah, she's still a little bit awkward about the whole job thing here. "W-well, they first hired me for my skills with make up...." Something that she didn't really think she'd had at first. "--but I ended up picking up the slack when one of the bouncers went back home."

Funny. It almost sounded like she knew them more than just at work for a second.

He smiles a little at her fluster, though the smile fades a little as she mentions the other bouncer. "I see... Ah, were they a friend or just a coworker?"

Aqua spared a small smile at that question, however wry it may be. "...Maybe in another life, we were friends." If that's what he called the Aqua he and his friends saved, while the kids likely thought of her as an aunt and surrogate guardian in his place. "More like friend of a friend."

A ~~big, fat~~ partial lie, and she wasn't terrible at them. But she couldn't say what was on her mind. Who knew what Lea had thought of their social link, anyway? Besides, it wasn't like he wasn't going to go back to where he belonged...

Maybe in another life...

Minato nods slowly, watching her expressions all the while. He can guess that maybe she's talking about someone from an alternate of her own world or perhaps even someone from her world that she might have met in better circumstances. But he knows how that goes. After all, someone who would have been his sister in another world has been and gone here before he got a chance to know her, and it's sad. It's hard not to dwell on what might have been.

"I see... I'm sorry he left so soon, then, all the same."

If only they knew they both met that same girl, no matter how short the meeting was. The degree of separation never really seemed to be by as much as the statistics said, anymore.

"Nn." She shook her head. Though it was sad, and she had to see the sadness in her young friend's eyes every day, she knew Lea would be doing just fine back home. "I am, too... but at least he'll be alright where he returned to."

At least, she hopes so.

Minato nodded, and he smiled just a little. "Let's hope so. Let's hope all the people we could have been friends with here are going to be okay back home."

Aqua smiled at that one. 'Hope so, huh.' She could do so much more than simply hope, and the fact she was standing here now was proof of that.

"I'd like to think they are..." Even if they may not remember when they are home, they were brought here for a reason. No matter how brief. "Connections, even if they're faint, aren't easily broken, after all."

~~Clearly she'd never tried double booking a weekend with two different girls! So easy to do. So easy to break those social links...~~

He blinked at that and then he smiled again a little wider and nodded. "That's true. The heart never forgets bonds, even if your head does."
