Tension is rising in the city. With the arrival of the pieces of the other worlds, the confusion of the last few days was clearly felt. As the Velvet roomed showed up once again, the Visitors were contacted by the Wisemen at the rendezvous point. The usual policemen and WAND operatives protected the door, guarding the others as the entered.

Little did they know it might be the last time everything would happen as it was...

But of course, that would come later. As everyone steps in, the group isn't given much information as to what exactly they are heading into. Unless you've been a Guest before or had visited times prior, this entire experience will be completely new.



The bar is spacious and large. The place is oddly calming; as if all the troubles of the city have melted away and you're just drifting in the sea. Yet there's an excitement in the air; you have the same feel as if you are calling forth your Persona. A multitude of blue butterflies are flying on the ceiling overhead.

The lights were mostly out, the dim bar setting made even more evident. The remaining lights, however, pointed to a musical setup. In the back, a single dark figure bouncing his head back and forth, as the sound began to fill your ears. The voice, for those who have heard her speak, sounds like Caroline was doing the background vocal work.

The Aria of the Soul...just served a little differently.


If you can spot Igor in the farthest corner (it's harder to see without the lights) he seems quite pleased with himself. Now that the siblings (well..mostly Caroline since she does the talking) are becoming much better at the introduction business, he tends to watch until he is needed.

"Welcome to the Velvet Room. My name is Caroline...and this is DJ Velvet, my brother William."

William responds by raising one of his hands in the air and giving a V sign, before going back to mixing.

"This place exists between mind and matter... A room for those who gave forged a contract... For those who are here for the first time, you now must know that by awakening to the power of Persona granted to you by or Master Philemon, you are bound to a contract. If this power is still growing within you, it will come soon and you are still welcome here. You are our Guests within this Velvet Room. Inside of you lies the ability to hold multiple Personas and wield their powers...a wildcard ability. However the rules of this world are rather...unique."

Each time they met, Caroline's confidence was growing. It was much different than when they first came here and she was stuttering her words. And William was...well...himself in the back.

"As you continue to live here longer and aid this ailing world, the connection and bonds you forge will reinforce your Destiny String, and allow you to truly unlock your full potential. In fact for a few of you..."

She took out a large book. If you peered very closely, one could see a few Greek and Latin symbols on the front.

"Your skills have matured enough that you will be able to unlock even more powerful Personas within you. Please see Master Igor if you wish to learn more."

"The Strings which hold you to this world have also changed. For those who have stayed here long enough, you will notice that they have taken on a unique color. This is a reflection of your soul color. It will, undoubtedly, become even more useful as time goes on..."

...unfortunately Caroline did not understand that only those with the special skills could see their Strings. A small blunder, clearly.

"Now, as it is stipulated by the contact, we will aid you to the best of our abilities. I hope you find your stay tonight enjoyable. Our Master has said that there will be many obstacles fighting against you in the upcoming months...and we wish to prepare you as best as we can."

Instead of going to the bar, this time, she stays right in the center for a while longer. If you wish to address her, you may do so there.

▶ Welcome to the Velvet Room. There but a few instructions here:
▶ You do not have to play out all the request ends or beginnings. In fact it's encouraged to just use the forms (reply this month for a request, reply the next month saying the request was done) and handwave. However, the mods will be happy to do a reply, if you wish!
▶ Go to the [PERSONA UPDATE LIST] and fill out the information for your character if you have not done so already.
▶ To get a new Persona, you go to [HERE] and pick a public persona, then fill out a request [HERE]. Remember, public personas only! You can request a Persona (or two if you are a previous Persona user) until the 18th of January, even if IC they will happen today.
▶ You can requests can be given from either Caroline OR William [HERE] and remember you only get one request per month. You can request a Quest until the 18th of January, even if IC they will happen today, or wait until next month. You can only as one request and it can be either Caroline or William.
▶ You can talk with Igor, Caroline, William, hang around, have a drink (what is in that drink anyway?) or just talk between yourselves.
▶ ARAMID ROOM IS COMING SOON AND WE ARE KEEPING THIS MUDDY FOR MOD REASONS. Trust us, it will be worth the wait.

"Obstacles, you say. Of course, your master can't possibly bother to inform us of these obstacles, can he? Typical." Misery idly flips through the book. "I must say, there's an interesting energy tonight, though. Almost enough to put a witch on edge, hmm?"

"Do you think? I personality enjoy seeing how you have all been growing..."

IGOR

As usual, Yu waits until it doesn't seem like Igor will be busy with others, before sitting down to talk to old friend long nose. He spares him a half smile before speaking.

"This 'level up'... it's just like before?" he asked. "When I could only access certain Personae when I was strong enough?"

"Boy this isn't a video game what is wrong with you."

"In a way yes...although in many others, not quite. This strength is not by the power of your bounds, but rather your own personal inner abilities advancing. However...there is still much that needs to be seen."

Caroline

Caroline looks like the most approachable, so Sora talks to her first, ignoring the rest of the lounge and its calm atmosphere.

"Oi, you gave me the wrong Persona."

He's not gonna go into the whole "part of you" thing. Sora is gripping onto the hope that he was mistaken.

"I'm afraid that's impossible," she replied. "What emerges from the sea of your soul may not always be the most pleasant part of you, but it is a part of you, nonetheless."

Caroline

As Minato darts into the Velvet Room, he looks over his shoulder suspiciously, an air of furtive paranoia clinging to him. Once he's inside, however, he stops, looks around, and lets out an audible sigh as he slowly straightens up and heads for where Caroline is, clutching a poorly-wrapped package.

"Hihi! Got you the thing you wanted!"

It's, uh...it's special.

"Oh! These are adorable!"

Garviel comes bearing gifts for William, carrying something in a pouch at his waist. WEll, more like a burlap sack, really. He's a bit too large for just a pouch.

Helmet head will lock gazes with helmet head, and nod.

remind me if he saw him without his helmet on before.

Index and middle finger locked together, he greats Garviel with a gloved hand with a wave from his head.

Ruri comes in and moves to sit back by the musical tables, closing her eyes and listening to the room around her.

And William was more than willing to provide the music for as long as Ruri felt the need to listen.

IGOR

Yu isn't the only one with questions about this, and eventually Minato shuffles over to Igor, pulling a hand out of his pocket to give a wave.

"Will... we ever be able to hold more than 3 personas?"

With the new monsters, Minato is missing being able to hold a lot more even if usually half of them were purely for fusion fodder purposes.

Unfortunately for you, you were getting quite a similar answer to this as Yu had gotten for a different one. With a soft chuckle, Igor simply stated;

"That...will depend upon you and the actions you take."

[ The obvious non-human (one of the few and one of even fewer that are so very non-human in appearance) is keeping to herself. Well, not so much as to herself as with...the butterflies.

She is very fond of them.

And her expressionless--perhaps a bit sour--face is masking a severe feeling of being very, very out-of-place and having no idea what is going on--two things she very much does not enjoy. ]

*and this one's just as obviously non-human. It's not just the coloration and ears; they've got huge black feathered wings and three-digit hands. And aren't even trying to be dressed to blend in, heh.*

*all the pretty lights are so shiny and-- and butterflies, and....*

*wandering around happily, smiling, eyes a little wide in childish awe, following one of those pretty insects to a spot not too far from where she is... and making some sort of soft sound under their breath at the little thing, some melodic sort of liquid-sounding burble, not too much unlike a dove's coo. It's so pretty!*

Once she finishes with Caroline, Arturia is busy having a proper look around the Velvet Room. She's never been in a club before and while this isn't a club, per se, it would be the closest she'll likely get to one any time soon.

Oh, it was the girl he talked to before... Once he was done with his business with Igor, he approached her, offering a small nod.

"Were you able to get the help you needed?"

Sephiran has come in once more to listen to the beautiful singing coming from the strange machine. He is humming along with the music in his own deep, melodious voice. He wants to put lyrics to it, but the words just aren't coming to him...

Caroline

"O-kaaaaaay." Vanellope tilts her head to the side. What were these people in blue going on about? More people talking about Personas again. The only time she encountered the word was in a dream. "I have no idea what everybody's talking about, but I gotta say the blue theme is pretty swanky."

"Thank you!" Caroline replied back, rather pleased at the compliment. "It has been a blue themed since the Velvet Room has existed."

William

"Soo... Would you say that performance was satisfactory enough?"

After all, the happiness of others was more important to him than anything else.

CAROLINE OR IGOR?

She'd lingered in here before, listened and likely gained an additional Persona in this place. This time, however, she has a question or two. Especially now that her soul Persona has reached its maximum potential. ...for now.

"...More powerful Personas, huh." She was, of course, new to this power even though she had it for almost four months, now. It's obvious that it could change eventually, like any other skill. Still... she noticed something about the strings she could see changing vaguely. What was with the mood ring thing. Seriously. "What's a soul color?"

Start with the smaller question, gauge the reaction, then go on with business. Besides, she's curious if it's anything like how she senses darkness and light within an individual silly mages.

"It is a color unique to each person's soul. Usually invisible, it slowly appears here as you stay longer in the city." Casually, she pointed to someone walking nearby. "Most do not see them, and only those with the proper skills and persona can."

Mitsuru had been listening carefully, venturing into the room without many expectations. The bar was nicely furnished, and nothing inside was threatening, which helped calm her nerves.

But what Caroline spoke of was strange. More powerful Personas? Did she mean the evolution, or the ability to harness many Persona at a time?

"When you talk of more powerful Persona to be obtained, do you mean simply evolution? The change of form from one Persona to newer, stronger one?"

"Ahh you are previous Persona user, yes. However, this is not quite the same as before. If you ask Master Igor, you are able to wield a second Persona and awaken it from its slumber inside the sea of unconsciousness."
