Who: Yu Narukami and everyone that wants to visit him.
Where: Hospital, ICU
When: Starting the morning of the 8th; continuing through out the day.
Summary: Yu finally awakens in the hospital.
Warnings: So many feels and kisses and yeah. There will be one post for the IT to pounce on him, and another for everyone else.
The dream he had of Izanami had long faded off into nothingness, but he was still aware; he could feel the least little twitch of dust that fell on him, feeling like he was trapped in his own uncooperative body. He could hear the feet of nurses walking by him to check his condition, the smell of flowers they were leaving in his room pleasant and something that was appreciated, even though it was something they needed to do. Then there were the doctors, humming and hawing to themselves, and more than once did he hear them mutter about how he should have died.
That really helped his spirits.
They weren't the only words he could hear, though. The doctors, everyone; they were distant, like their voices were coming to him through a thick fog, but they still reached him. Still, being trapped like he was, it was hard to tell who was saying what when, and everything ended up mashing together in his head after awhile.
My fault... all my fault...
Don't sleep too long, okay?
Guy's a lot more responsible than I thought.
I'm sure your big bro is happy you're all right too.
I hope he's all right...
If... we're too sad right now, he'll be sad when he wakes up, too.
Sensei doesn't need to forgive you, because you didn't do anything wrong, Yuki-chan...
...He can hear you, child.
"...forgive me."
He's pretty sure he moved, but he wasn't sure... no, he could move, he was moving... something was in his throat, though; he choked, gagging around... whatever it was, he didn't know. What was going on...?
"Narukami-san?" a dim voice gurgled through the haze of his consciousness. "If you can hear me, please cough as hard as you can."
Was he really hearing this? It sounded like a nurse, but he wasn't sure if it was another dream or not. Still... coughing was a good thing; if he could make his body do that, maybe it would be okay? He tried, but his body was still weak, and the wheeze that came out was rather pitiful, and it did nothing but make the tight feeling in his throat worse. His head swam from the effort and he felt like he was going to throw up despite the thing in his throat. Still, somehow he managed a cough again, a little stronger that time, and the next stronger still, until the pressure in his throat suddenly disappeared as whatever it was was finally removed. His body did not like that though, and despite how much he wanted to open his eyes, he could feel himself drifting off...
...and then he could feel sunlight on his face.
Yu flinched, feeling warm and content and... so weak; that was something that he wasn't used to. He let out a faint noise of protest at that -- the leader wasn't supposed to feel weak like that... though, then again, he did kind of just block a massive blast of magic.
Wait, "just"? That probably wasn't accurate at the moment. He groaned again, shuddering as he forced himself to wake up...
Yu's eyes blinked open slowly, painfully. Every little movement hurt, ached, threatened to send him spiraling back into his prison cell body again, but he stubbornly refused to let that happen. He opened his eyes inch by painful inch until they were finally open, staring up at a sterile white ceiling. He stayed like that for a long moment, before carefully turning his head, seeing the flowers that had been left by the nurse... and some kind of gift basket from Mays? He wondered who left that...
He groaned softly, shifting slowly; his body was stiff and aching, demanding that he stop moving but demanding movement at the same time. Limbs cracked in both protest and relief, and he blew out a pained breath, somehow staying conscious.
It hurt... but he was awake.

"I guess for now, it's not something to worry about," he replied, though it was something that would be always in the back of his mind.

"It's not like you, to be all sad and depressed."

Mention of 'Anoli' on public television sets seemed to coincide with 'persona battles' and a 'grand prix'...and that's a touchy set of terms right now.

"Do you want to know?"

He'd already decided that; it wasn't just for him, but for all the people that died... there's no way he would just sit out of this.

Yu isn't the kind of person to purposely make someone feel bad. If he thinks it's important, she'll listen.

"The Anoli are this... group, I guess. From what I can tell from debriefs from when we first arrived and the announcement before the attack happened, I'm guessing they've been opposed to the government for a long time -- and the mayor specifically -- long before we even started showing up.
"The tournament was expected to draw attention from them; it was the first Grand Prix in awhile, and it was also the first time people invited here like we were could participate. We received a notice about it before it started; a few of us joined to help against the attack."
Yu let out a breath, pursing his lips. "...at the end, the mayor practically baited them into an attack. We were hopelessly outnumbered."

The Grand Prix didn't seem to be an important subject, so perhaps it wasn't what she expected it to be. Her friend only stressed on it as an event; in the future, Yu didn't like how he had to face his friends in combat, and neither did she, really.
"I don't like fighting, but if they try it again, I'm gonna do my best to protect everyone."

She chuckles softly, putting her hand on the side of the bed. "I guess it's a good time for strange things to happen, then. Crazy, huh?"

...of course she'd hear from him. She's a robot; he really can't wait for this to actually happen in his timeline now.
