On Misplaced Affections and Mixed-Up Walking Aids
Who: Misery, Yu, NPC. Thread is open after Yu/NPC interaction.
Where: Starting in Capricorn, and moving from there.
When: February 14
Summary: What happens when Love Potion #9 gets misplaced?
Warnings: A real one: If you are a female character responding to Yu after his interaction with the NPC, there is a very good chance you will suddenly find him completely irresistible. The level of this obviously varies, but only Misery has any guaranteed immunity. If you really want to interact with him as a female character without suffering from the effects, you can, but you might still feel fonder of him than you normally would. Fair warning.
"A...and you're absolutely positive this will work?"
The green-clad witch examined her nails. "I may be many things, Mr. Yamada, but I am most certainly NOT a liar. And I do not do half-hearted work. I think you'll find yourself the center of attention in no time."
"But how does it work?"
She chortles. "A true magician does not reveal her secrets, nor a witch her recipes. All you need to know is that as long as you possess that cane, women will come to you in droves. You don't even need to lift a tiny little finger. All your romantic troubles are solved." Yeah right. But hey, it's what he asked for.
"I see... You know, you really are ONE attractive lady. And so generous. I'm sure such a beauty like you would LOVE to give this to me as a gift."
"Clever. But I took the precaution of casting a counterspell on myself before I gave that to you."
"O...oh..."
"Now DO pay up, that's a good boy. Have a nice day! Enjoy your masses."
She watches the man leave the hut with an almost giddy glee and sighs. What a truly pathetic example of an individual. Well, the cane will certainly do the trick. She hopes he smothers in women. And even if he doesn't, well...
She laughs to herself. It will only end in beautiful schadenfreude. She loves it.

Yu isn't even sure if he should be sorry or not. Granted he wasn't paying attention, but still...
After a moment he let out a faint sigh, struggling to reach over for his own cane so he could get back on his feet.

He walks off without even looking back or giving Yu a hand. He's AVAILABLE, ladies!

Yu couldn't help but stare after the guy in mute shock. Really? Seriously? You just knocked over a crippled guy that just managed to cajole his way out of the hospital, and you can't even give him a hand up? After a moment, Yu just rolled his eyes skyward, before grabbing the remaining cane, having to lean on it heavily in order to get back up.
Well, at least his cane didn't get broken. It was still aways before home...
