[Nano has clearly been in town for far too long without anything terrible happening with her robotic attachments for no reason in public.  It's really a miracle she's made it this long.  Which is why today, she's running around the streets of Hinoto-Ri in a complete panic, waving her arms around frantically as she tears through the streets.  Onlookers will likely notice that her right hand is missing completely, and she seems to be staring up at the skyline looking for something during the times when she stops to catch her breath.]

No...!  Come back!

[It's not entirely clear what she's screaming at, but it's probably pretty easy to figure out.  Nano's self-propelled hand is rocketing its way all through the city.  Sometimes it collides with a piece of scenery before bouncing off and flying in a completely different direction.  Particularly unlucky people might actually get rocket-punched themselves while it's shooting all over the place.  And of course, whenever she starts to get close, Nano herself will come running up, panting for breath and holding up the stump.]

P-please...!  Help... h-hand...

[Sora actually sees the hand first thing - well, he doesn't see it so much as he barely dodges as it comes flying towards him, following the strange object with his eyes until he finally figures out what it is...or, at least, he thinks he does. He has trouble believing it, though. There was no way that could really be a...

That's when a girl he doesn't recognize comes running up to him, showing him a...stump? Wait, is she hurt, or- oh!]

You mean, that was your hand?

[Thankfully, Nano, you've probably found one of the few people who won't start off by asking ten million questions about why in the world you have a flying hand - help first, ask questions later is generally Sora's motto. After all, there's probably not much time to waste.]

Oh! I'm sorry...!

[Nano comes running up behind as her hand goes tearing off into the distance, stopping short both to rest for a moment and to answer Sora.]

Yes, that's right!

[He looks over again, watching for a second as it keeps moving into the distance. It was going to get away if no one did something, and people might get hurt!]

[Sees Nano. Sees flying thing she's chasing. Guesses he'd better go get it for her. Takes off after it. He's actually pretty fast.]

[Tachikoma sees Nano running by as she's looking up and glances in the same the direction, watching as the hand goes whooshing away.]

[Today is a day for Asem to do his periodic launch in the Gundam AGE-2 to keep it moving and for things to keep working. Once he's done and bringing it back to the Nadesico...

Asem hears an odd sound and notices that the right eye camera is suddenly out of alignment. What the hell was that?]

[A lone figure sat on a dilapidated building-top overlooking the city. They kept in idle-power mode to conserve energy, mimicking sleep and curled into himself in a sitting position. Which made them almost-unaware of the incoming projectile flying through the sky that day.

An emergency sensor blaring for him to wake up stirred his senses, but—

WHAM!

... even his lightning-quick response time couldn't match the speed of the fist flying right into his face.

He laid there crumpled on the rooftop, limbs twitching for awhile as the rocket-powered arm flew past him and faded back into the whitened snowing sky. Why didn't he use the apartment he was given anyway?]

[Latooni looks up curiously to see the arm flying past, then looks down to find Nano running after it. Needless to say, she's a little concerned.]

...it's not coming back?

[Asem may notice Nano flailing about in a panicked run, looking up and around for the rogue body part.]

Um... on my way home from the marketplace. But it could be anywhere by now!

She was about to say something, but off he goes already.]

[Hinata was just minding his own business, walking back to his apartment from the convenience store. He thinks he hears some distant shouting, but it could just as easily be his imagination, drowned out by the sounds of the city.]

[He looks up into the sky, a few flakes of snow catching on his eyelashes. Snow is so pretty... It's been a long time since he's seen winter up close like this.]

[And out of nowhere, he's flying backwards, the bag of groceries in his hand going spilling across the sidewalk. His back crashes down against the concrete, knocking the wind out of him. He's also aware of a horrible pain in his face, but is too disoriented to address its cause right now.]

[He'll get up, just... give him a minute.]

[The motion sensor does pick that up, and a leg camera zooms in.]

Huh? Wait, what is she...

Wait, what the hell?!

[Asem notices Nano's distinct lack of a hand. Immediately he opens the hatch and rides the cable down to ground level.]

Nano! What the hell is going on?! Where's your hand?!

Ben watches in dazed bemusement as the hand goes zipping by.

And continues to stare as it zooms on down the road.

[Whether she follows or not, Sora dashes in the direction of the hand - literally dashes. He looks like a blur for a few seconds, and when he regains his balance he's about twenty feet away, running at full speed in the direction of the hand.

He could see it, but how in the world was he gonna catch it?

Well, he had to catch up to it first!]
