Summary: It's time to have a lot of Investigation Team discussions...

With both their Leader and Naoto gone from the city, the team was feeling a little distraught without them. Yosuke in particular had to get on the ball quickly with these new circumstances as the unofficial 'second-in-command', and the Investigation Team needed some regrouping and fast reorganizing.

The first order of business was to decide how to stay in close contact with these dangerous times coming about, and loyalties to certain factions being rather shaken after recent events. While the entire team had originally been stationed within the Libra apartment complex, Yukiko, Chie, and Nanako were all currently living in the Amagi Inn. After some thought and discussion, it had been decided that the best course of action was to move the entire team into the inn, at least as a secondary home, considering it was free housing that was much more spacious than what was offered in the assigned apartment complexes. At least that way, the team was never too far apart. It offered some semblance of greater unity now that their Leader was missing.

Once everyone was settled in the inn, however, some business needed to be taken care of. A new leader of the Investigation Team needed to be officially decided, first off; Yosuke didn't want to just assume the position without his friends' consent, of course. On top of that, they needed to figure out what to do with Adachi who was now in the city, along with the circumstances in general... and then there was the matter of the two doubles: Yosuke's own double along with the double of Yu, the one mysteriously named Souji.

Dojima also needed to be informed of the situation at hand... something that was definitely going to be a mess to handle.

All in all it was going to be a pretty busy day...

[OOC: This log will be split up into four parts: a mingling section in the inn, the IT discussion, talking to the AU versions of Yosuke and the P4 protagonist to get them to join the IT, and explaining the magic of Persona to Dojima in his hospital room.

The discussion will be further broken up into several parts including: instating Yosuke as the leader, discussing Adachi, discussing what to do with the AU characters, and discussing the situation of Hinoto-Ri as a whole (the Government versus the Anoli, etc.)

There's no real strict tagging order, and not all threads are necessary to finish, but please keep up when you can and track the ones you're in, particularly if it's the discussions~]

Moving Into the Inn

Rise, Yosuke, and Kanji are all officially moving their junk into the Amagi Inn. General mingling log for everyone, including Nanako~ Do what you will!

Despite the circumstances behind it, Nanako's been having fun with this long-term sleepover with the big girls, and wants to be helpful to Yukiko. She's on hand in the lobby to help carry bags and other things to the IT member's new rooms.

He still wasn't quite sure if it was a good idea to move in here. Not because he didn't like the idea; actually being closer to the members was probably the best course of action.

No...it was actually the fangirls. If they found out that the Prince of Junes and ...whatever the hell they called him (Prince of Kitsunes) were both here, he had a feeling that the inn might not survive that night.

However, he tossed all of that aside when he saw Nanako trying to help with the bags.

"Don't worry, I got mine." There was an entire sewing machine in that one anyway, he wouldn't want you to break your back carrying it.

"Okay... If you're sure." It does look really heavy and she knows Kanji out of everyone is fine with carrying heavy things around. "But I can show you the way to your room!"

Rise follows shortly behind, actually carrying her own bags. Normally, she'd make Kanji do it, but she wasn't about to make that man choose between his sewing machine and her dress bags.

"Hey Nanako-chan!" she greeted cheerily, even as she pouted slightly under the weight of her wardrobe. "Ugh, Kanji-kun, can I just hang one of these off your arm? They don't weight much, they're just really bulky...."

Well, she tried.

Discussions

After everyone is finally settled, it's time to get together in the Inn, the new Secret Headquarters for the team, and discuss what's going on.

New Leader-kun?

With some minor awkwardness in his voice and mannerisms, Yosuke, who was clearly not used to heading these kinds of things, declares an official meeting for the Investigation Team. "S-so! Yu isn't here in the city any more... and while we're not really sure why, there's not really anything we can do about it right now." He kind of fades off, looking at the other members with a frown on his face before staring down, arms folded over his chest.

"... We need to manage without him for now, alright guys? But in order to do that we need to instate a new leader. A temporary one, until Yu comes back. I know I've been kind of trying to pick things up since he left, but I'm not just gonna put myself in that position without actually discussing it with you guys. Whatever we decide... the decision has to be unanimous, alright?"

[celebrity_commentator]

Rise looks predictably pouty at the reminder that Yu isn't here anymore, more put out by the fact that he's gone than the lack of direction. "When I see him again, I'm going to ask Senpai some really pointed questions..."

Adachi Sux 5ever

The first and most urgent matter that they needed to discuss... something Yu had warned him about and that he had been way too aware about before.

"Alright, guys, I'm not sure how many of you actually heard about this but... Adachi is here, in the city... And there isn't anything we can do about it... He's above the law here." It's clear that Yosuke's trying to control his anger on the situation, and considering all of the reasons he has to hate the guy, he's managing pretty well.

"So... we need to figure out what we're gonna do about him."

What to do with AUs?

"Another thing I wanted to bring up." Yosuke switches the discussion once more to another pressing matter. "For those of you who don't know, there's apparently a second 'me' here in the city... There's also another guy who seems to be a second 'Yu', but he goes by Souji instead. I don't know what their deal is but they could be really important. What do you think we should do with them?"

"I say we hunt them down and take back the money your double owes me!" Because surely this is the best idea without any problems. Although, now that she thinks about it..

"Or you could pay his debt too." Chie still doesn't know how to handle this who double thing, but she figures that they might as well cover for each other's screw ups.

[get_bent]

"Chie-senpai, you are one scary lady."

Remind Kanji to never, ever have any debts with the Investigation Team girls.

Ever.

"Chie, we're trying not to scare them away."

Yukiko is quiet when she spoke up, but it was enough to be heard by everyone. Don't mind her, she's been doing double work and the girl is exhausted.

"I just want to know what happened to them back home and if we can do anything to help."

Hinoto-Ri is Rly Complicated

And last but not least, the less pressing but still important issue at hand regarding all of their future actions within the city.

"As you all know, this place is governed by some Government run by the mayor of Hinoto-Ri, and they're in some big fight with this terrorist group called the Anoli. The problem is, I don't think we're getting the full picture here with the situation at hand. I already had a bad run-in with the government when I started pointing stuff out about how the economy here makes absolutely no sense." His entire message and his COMP had been scrambled; *Hyun-ae spent literally hours trying to fix it after the fact.

"You guys also might've seen the Anoli graffiti around town, and I'm not sure if we know everything there is to know about them either... I'm not saying either of them are the good or bad guys... but I do want to get more info on both sides. And I want to hear any hunches you have to toss around."

[get_bent]

"Yeah!" Maybe he sounded like a broken record, but Kanji's train of thought was basically like Yosuke on the subject; he knew nearly nothing about either and..."it feel's like we're just being force-fed everythin'. I say we go out and do the investigation thing!"

Wow he suddenly really missed Naoto.

"...you got any ideas? We can't just barged into the City Hall and demand answers."

"Before Yu left, I was thinking that maybe we should try and get close contacts with both sides. It should be a piece of cake to get some of us on the team close to the government, maybe even get some government jobs helping out and stuff, considering we're this town's local celebrities. The Anoli, though..."

Kanji, you are not the only one missing Naoto right now...

"Getting close to the Anoli could be extremely dangerous... I don't want to do it just yet, we need to be careful and plan things ahead with them. I didn't really tell anyone this before but... the day after my COMP messed up, I actually got visited by them. They left a basket of fruit and vegetables in front of my door with their symbol and a happy face on it. I didn't eat any of it, but I did save what I could, especially the seeds of the stuff that rotted the fastest." Everything else was bagged tightly and stored away, though none of it was any good any more.

"I think it was all organic? It looked different than the produce here... The point is, though, it's really easy to attract their attention. Maybe the best way to get close to them for right now is to keep showing subtle signs that we support them?? More subtle than what I did, though. What I did was... pretty stupid..."

[get_bent]

"THEY WHAT?!?!" Good things the rooms were pretty airtight, because Kanji's loudness could have awoken up the dead. "Senpai, I ain't sure if getting close to them is a good idea at all!-"

Wait.

"...so wait, they're gardeners too? They tryin' to poison you or something?"

Kanji: Still not quite understanding that terrorism wasn't just black and white.

Hunting Down AUs

The IT tracks down the AUs in whatever hobo hole they're living in now and tries to convince them to join their team. (AU characters go first! To establish setting and stuff.)

The Scorpio Ward had been good in starting out their street performing career - there were lots of newbies and professionals there, and they blended right in. Not enough that they got barely anything, but they didn't stand out enough to be recognised. It was a good sort of anonymity - it certainly made Souji less twitchy to be around. The guy wanted to dye his hair to stay under the radar, how crazy was that?

The performances also helped in easing the tense relationship they had currently as well. It was silly, didn't have their lives riding on it, and Hinoto-Ri was so different from Inaba, it was almost easy to pretend that what happened back home had been a nightmare. Well, easy for Yosuke. They still had Adachi prowling the streets - as a cop! - but Souji said to avoid him and Yosuke was all too happy with that. If he saw him, he doubted he'd be able to stop himself from punching him right in that innocent looking face, and then he'd end up in jail. Souji would have a heart attack.

They were coming back from one of their performances one cool afternoon, the sun starting to dip behind the buildings, and Yosuke was shifting about the money hat in his hands, looking at the coins and notes they had collected. It wasn't a lot... but it was still a generous amount considering they were one of hundreds of street performers in Scorpio.

"We should probably step up our game a bit... this really isn't a lot."

Souji only gave a mute nod to 'Ske's comment, momentarily spacing out while shuffling his cards. He'd really had an off-day...it was harder to focus for some reason, and he had kept his hood up to cover msot of his head for the entire day. His worries hadn't ended at his hair color, it seemed.

He was so autopilot that he almost walked in to an alp, who turned her nose up annoyedly and weaved around him. He watched her go with refound awareness, and sighed once she was out of earshot.

"I don't know how to compete with demons at magic tricks." It wasn't just humans out there doing performances, and setting up next to a very charismatic black frost had all but stolen any business they could have drummed up otherwise. The thought made him rub the back of his neck, shuffling the cards one-handed. "Maybe we should try another district- we may have better luck if we go outside of where people expect performers."

[trashcanninja]

"Yeah, but we'd have to make sure we won't be a nuisance," Yosuke warned. "I mean, people expect performers to be in the Scorpio Ward, so..."

He fell into a thoughtful silence, balancing the hat on his palm and slowly turning it with just his fingers, looking straight ahead as they walked. He was so hungry right now. Maybe they could take a detour through the shopping district.

"How about Cancer? It's full of gaming crap, and if we do it outside the arcade... there's lots of room there."

Teaching Dojima Personas

A group of the IT goes to see Dojima in his hospital room, to try and explain to him exactly what's been going on, both back in their home world and in Hinoto-Ri. (Dojima goes first also to establish setting and stuff!)

It's a good day in the hospital today, in Dojima's opinion. The drugs are as efficient as ever, he actually feels better and the doctor even agreed that he could leave soon!

Now if only the food could be more up to par, because really, the mush they had given him, with some rubbery fish on the side, had not been worth sitting up for.

Don't worry Dojima-san, your future cadet in training has plenty of food on her! As on all days, Chie has a pack of beef flavored gum in one pocket, and a half-empty package of beef jerky sticks in the other. Just say the word and she'll share it with him.

"Are you feeling any better?" With the rest of the team Chie stood around the policeman's bed, with her hands stuck deep inside her jacket pockets. Last time she had seen him like this he had gotten better, so she hopes it will be the same again..

"Yes. Thanks, Satonaka. I should be able to leave soon." He looks around at the gang assembled around his bed. "I'm not sure you all came all this way just to ask me how I'm feeling, though..." He hopes it's not about Nanako...
