Curiosity kills the C // Some Things Never Change
Who: Philip and OPEN
Where: Narumi Detective Agency (The Half-Boiled one), Pisces 11-05, and all around Virgo Ward
Summary: He stumbled into a room, he was given a request, and well-
Warnings: Socially Awkward Teen and Pet Stuffs.
[He had stumbled into the room by accident, but considering how his life had worked, he took it in stride when the strange woman requested him to get several items related to cat rearing, thinking that it'd be good to be given the chance to actually stretch his proverbial muscle after a while of wandering in this place.]
[Narumi Detective Agency]
[Perhaps that was why he spent the time in the nostalgic garage of the agency, perusing the whiteboard for his research as he wrote down the results of his search within himself on items that cats enjoy toying with apart from the usual ball of yarn and scratching post. In fact, he might've written too much on the board as the only thing one can discern should they stumble in here while waiting for the detective in charge to talk to you would be that the board is completely full of scribblings and writings.]
...Hm?
[Of course, stumbling in would also mean that you're going to disturb his concentration for a bit.]
((OOC: You are also liable to be interrupted by
a half-boiled detective if you happen to choose this prompt!))
[Pisces 11-05]
[If you happened to be living in the same floor as him, please don't mind the smell of catnips and litterboxes alongside all those cats prancing around the hallway looking high as a kite, considering he's just there looking quite fascinated at how the cats act when exposed to the wonders of catnip, all the while writing notes into a notepad as he nodded at the difference between a sober cat and a high one.]
[Virgo Ward]
[And now that he's done all the research needed, it's time to get all the materials needed for the request!
But the amount of shops located here made it hard for him to pick one out of who knows how many, so this would be why he's just stopping you in the middle of your trip:]
Ah, do you know a shop specializing in cat items?
[He's quite blunt in stating this, but well, when isn't he?]

no subject
[He ticks them off on his fingers, leaving the cat disgruntled as the pettings come to an abrupt stop.]
no subject
[There's a nod as he then noticed how the cat seem disgruntled by the lack of petting.]
Ah, it seems dissatisfied with lack of contact, I see...
[Writing down some more notes...]
no subject
[If it's pettings you want, cat, then pettings you will have! He just outright picks it up at this point, scratching it idly behind the ears.]
no subject
[As he continued to write down on the notepad as the cat is enjoying all the attention it's getting.]
Which would be the reason I am conducting this research right now.

I suppose the one we have in the agency was not exactly your normal one.
[It used to be able to turn into a freaking monster after all.]
no subject
no subject
[emphasis on used.]
But do not worry, it's now just a well-trained house cat.
[which would explain how normal cats caused him to be at a loss.]
no subject
Do I even want to know how that started?
no subject
[yep.]
no subject
no subject
[I mean why would you even give a harmful item to your own pet???]
no subject
So aside from your... cat-monster, you don't have too much experience with pets, huh?
no subject
[Because having one in the office was already enough for them, but well... Things happen.]
no subject
[He stands up, holding the cat in his arms as he does so.]
I don't think you need to worry about it too much. Many people take care of them, so it can't be that complicated. There's probably guides all over if you look for them.
no subject
[One more item to buy for that request.]
She'd probably appreciate having some information on taking care of cats.
no subject
no subject
[...ah.]
...What is your name, by the way?
no subject
[Ah, that would explain why he's always hanging around here, wouldn't it?]
no subject
[He had been a bit curious, but now, that's satiated so it's a good thing!]
no subject
Anyway, I guess I'll take off for now. Good luck with your request!
[And he sets down the cat and begins to leave!
...Except now the cat is following him WAIT COME BACK PERSON WHO GIVES IT PETTINGS.]
no subject
[He noticed the cat leaving alongside Hizumi, but he didn't say any words about it as he was too busy writing things down on the whiteboard.]
'It follows people that gave it things it likes.'
I see... How fascinating.
[YEP.]
no subject
...Hey, shouldn't you catch it before it escapes?
[What kind of scientist are you, letting your control group leave!]
no subject
[happiness before experiments after all.]
no subject
[Thanks...]
