Yamato was not a man who appreciated the arts, yet here he was, in the Scorpio District, doing something rather...peculiar.

Seated on a bench on the main street of the arts and craft shops, Yamato had multiple bags of what appeared to be plastic cutlery resting on the bench beside him, the bag torn open - with two empty bags on the floor at his feet. However that would be easily overlooked for something else: the tens of Plastic Cutlery Dragons resting on every spare inch of the bench, and some on the floor. The exact number isn't precise, but it seemed like he made almost twenty five of those things...!

The twenty sixth was currently resting on his lap, having the finishing touches put to it.

Daichi didn't have much particular business in the Scorpio business-- mostly just, stupid wandering around and what not. At least until he saw Yamato and... should he... should he say anything...? Was it OK to bother him...? The dragon thing was impressive, it actually kind of looked like the Dragon Stream... but.... what....

"Uh... Yamato...?"

Yamato looked up at the sound of Daichi's voice, his fingers still nimbly putting the final touches to the dragon without needing to look. He didn't seem annoyed at the interruption. In fact, he almost lit up a little at seeing the other.

"Ah, Shijima. What is it?" he asked, as if it was perfectly normal to be found obsessively making plastic cutlery dragons.

Yamato was legitimately doing arts and crafts. This was. Kind of surreal.

"Uh, what are you doing?"

He's kind of too stupefied to do anything than ask the obvious question, even though it's pretty obvious he's making a goddamn dragon out of plastic. "--Er, why? I guess is a better question?"

[drakenguard]

Yamato finished the dragon, lifting it up to inspect it before leaning down to set it on the floor beside the others on the ground. When he straightened up, he looked Daichi right in the eyes and said with a completely straight face; "I was bored."

[hetried]

"So you... made a dragon out of plastic?" He pointed vaguely at the plastic dragon s Yamato lifted it up.

"Is this the kind of stuff you did in your spare time before? You uh... don't really seem like the type..."

[drakenguard]

"No. This is the first time I've attempted such a thing," Yamato replied, flexing his fingers a little. They were beginning to get a little sore and stiff from all the fine work they had been doing.

[hetried]

"First time?!"

Don't mind him as he just kind of...gapes at the plastic dragon now. First time? First time?! He can barely get through the first cave in Pokemon on his first try...

"Yeesh, you and Kaito really are alike. Isn't there anything you guys are bad at?"

[drakenguard]

Yamato couldn't help it - he let out a low snort of laughter.

"Ahaha! Shijima, my fault is obvious, is it not?" he asked, resting his forearms on his knees as he smirked up at the other. "Unless you think that my ability to socialise with people is not subpar?"

[hetried]

Oh ok he

kind of had him there.

"Yeah, but at least you still know how to talk to people, I mean it could be worse." He looked off to the side a bit as if spacing out a little, awkwardly scratching the back of his head.

"There are some people that just stay in their rooms all day and never talk to people face-to-face. Even if they have school!"

[drakenguard]

"You mean hermits?" Yamato just looked increasingly amused. "Well, to be honest, Shijima, I never left JP's headquarters unless it was absolutely necessary for me to do so." Like the invasion. Pretty damn necessary to leave base.

[hetried]

"You still knew how to order people around though! And it's obvious that everyone in JP's was pretty loyal to you. So you must have done something right!"

Yeah, he wasn't a total lost cause after all!

[drakenguard]

Yamato laughed.

It was a genuine one, and he leaned back on the bench while lifting a gloved hand to rub at his forehead. Shijima was such...he didn't even know the word. He was so amusing and strange!

"So according to you, my sole shining grace in the art of socialising is that I know how to order people about," Yamato scoffed, still letting out huffs of laughter.

[hetried]

Sadly he has no idea it's a genuine laugh, he just thinks Yamato is laughing at him. Which, isn't that out of the ordinary besides the fact that Yamato was actually laughing instead of just staring or glaring.

"W-- No, I mean..! Stop making fun of me!" Come on, he as no good at talking! "You're making it sound like I'm trying to insult you...!"

Yamato finally calmed down, shaking his head in amusement. "You...are ridiculous, Shijima. Entertaining, though."

He suddenly rose to his feet, and looked down at all the dragons he had made. "Hm, I should do something about all of these."

[hetried]

"Come on...!" He has no idea why Yamato is seeming so light-hearted but he has the intense feeling that he was just being mocked. Oh well...

Still kind of grumbling a bit, but he took to looking at all the dragons and then remembering geez, what with all the dragons, Yamato.

"Well, you could take them home, I guess. Use them as decoration, hehe."

[drakenguard]

"I have no need for them as decorations," Yamato said blandly. "I suppose I should just dispose of them. What a waste..."

[hetried]

"Uh, you could try giving them away then...? Maybe you could sell them? I don't know, they look pretty cool-- someone around here might buy them."

Shruuuuugging just so subtly.

[drakenguard]

"...buy them?"

Why would anyone want to buy pieces of plastic?

[hetried]

"Sure, why not? People buy all sorts of weird stuff just for the hell of it."

[drakenguard]

There was a bit of a pause where Yamato frowned at Daichi in what could only be called mild confusion. He looked about at the dragons assembled around him and then up at the street.

...

Hm, how did one go about selling things?

"How?"

[hetried]

Expectedly, Daichi just shuffled and fidgeted a bit while Yamato was frowning at him, half-wondering if he should just leave until Yamato spoke again.

"--Oh, uh. I'm not really sure. You could probably do it online or something, I know people have done stuff like that before."

[drakenguard]

Yeah, that's going to earn you another blank stare.

"...something similar to the Demon Auction?"

Hey, he never used the internet for anything other than research- well, Fumi did. Yamato just read the reports that came in. Him and the Internet have never really been bros...or even acquaintances...

[hetried]

"Yeah, kind of!" Hey, that was a pretty good comparison now that he thought about it!

"Actually, it's exactly like that! Except it's not Demons, it's just stuff. And we just use normal money instead of Macca, haha."

[drakenguard]

"How do you set up such a thing?"

Oh, Yamato's looking a bit interested now!

[hetried]

"I'm not sure if they have the same kind of website here in the city, but I'm sure there's something on the COMPs or the internet that would serve basically the same thing! Just have to look."
