Who: The entire Devil Survivor 2 cast, as well as Alcor (AU) and you!
Where: Around Sagittarius Ward.
When: April 26th, at various times (but namely the 13th Hour).
Summary: It all started with a kidnapping and a few crazy cast members before it got completely out of hand, involving even those who never wanted to be.
Warnings: Violence, injuries, and possible property damage.

When the 13th Hour struck, sheer chaos unfolded. Frankly, everything was in chaos already, but that just added to it even moreso. And in the midst of this whirlwind of confusion and frenzy were a couple of individualswho were unfortunate enough to bump into each other during this time, while under the influence of the Taurus event.

It started out simple. Well, as simple as one could get in this situation. Io was just going to kidnap Kaito (being possessive of anything that held value, nothing big), and the Hotsuin twins had a scuffle, but the twins of them happened to come across the aforementioned kidnapping, which certainly didn't go well with either of them. And when Io Nitta came under the threat of harm, a certain overprotective ~~watchdog~~ Septentrione with his (somewhat) protective characteristics kicked into overdrive didn't take that too well either. Not that he had a choice. A tool has no free will, after all.

So, due to the effects of the Zodiac event, not only is Alcor compelled to cause havoc to add to the general mayhem of the city (with his 3 demons milling out and about as well), the complete opposite of how extremely passive and obedient he was before, he's also very strongly compelled to protect Io Nitta, who was under attack by the twins, at all costs...which is driving him to try to destroy anything that could be labelled as a threat to her as well. (Just in case the bull horns on his head didn't already give it away that he was one of them.)

So when that building near you is hit by a Mazandyne, don't take it too personally. If there's a spell flung in your direction, don't take that too personally either. And if you come across those two light-haired twins who are fighting the culprit of this particular mess and look like they're fighting a losing battle instead, will you help them or not? No matter what, tread carefully; a sword of the absolute is not to be taken lightly.

[ooc: While some of the threads in this log will be closed between certain people, as a sort of catch-all post, you're certainly free to just tag in/start new threads in this post and have your character(s) run into Alcor and try to stop the rampaging Septentrione! Here is a list of his abilities (scroll down to Canon Powers), and don't worry about defeating him! That'll be dealt with, in the end. Also, please let me know how severely he can injure your character, if given the opportunity.]

Work waited for no man, and this was especially true for Yamato. Or rather, the recent events made him work even more, if only to try and understand what exactly it was about these 'Zodiac Events' that made people go batshit insane, and monsters rampage through the streets. Kanno's behaviour as well was deeply worrying, and putting a stop to her rambling delusions of child sacrifices was probably necessary for the security of this city. He didn't want to lose a valued subordinate due to impulsive infanticide anyway.

He left work just before the 13th Hour, however, mostly due to the fact that in Zodiac Events, that time was a lot more dangerous than usual - and who knew when the 'Final Boss' would arrive? He had been planning on going to JP's HQ in the next district over, partly because he wanted to browse his library, and partly because he wanted to make sure Kanno hadn't gone out to kidnap children in his absence... so that was where he headed towards, the Leo district.

Before he could reach that district, however, the 13th Hour descended. Yamato almost sighed. Of course. His luck was always abysmal... he did stop to take stock though, to see if there were any emotional of mental differences in himself, but, aside from the distant noises of skirmishes from demons, crazed Taurus infected, and the bull monsters, he felt perfectly fine.

Although he had an odd feeling... he couldn't put his finger on it. A hunch, maybe. Instincts. Something was off - what happened in the last Zodiac Event, during a moment like this anyway? Shijima had flipped out over the network, and Kaito-

Hm. Yes, Kanno was probably too frightened to go outside to kidnap children, so she should be fine. Maybe he should try to track down Kaito instead, just to make sure he was perfectly fine. He got chased last time, after all. Yes, that sounded like a plan...

Throughout most of the week, Miyako was relatively unaffected by the changes she observed on other people. Some were mildly amusing, while others, such as Kanno's, were worrying. But otherwise, she was unaffected and unharmed.

Until the 13th Hour descended tonight on the 26th, and she found himself drawing out her blade upon others. A number of demons fell before her blade, backed up by her demons when she found that she cannot use her ice magic or her almighty-charged technique. No matter, that meant she have to rely on her swordsmanship in battle more.

After a rough encounter, she was forced to escape with her best option at hand.

Yamato may start hearing the sound of a chariot going down along the road...

It's Miyako, riding on Mara's chariot.

Upon hearing the noise of a chariot, Yamato automatically summoned his own demons - the streets were dangerous now, it was better to be prepared in case of an ambush. Cerberus and Remial burst into life, energy crackling from their arrival, and Yamato held up his phone, eyes narrowed-

Before he saw Miyako sitting atop of Mara, the demon trundling down the cracked road. Yamato lowered his hand in confusion, and his demons relaxed as well. What on earth...?

"Are you fleeing from someone?"

Fortunately, she immediately notice Yamato and ordered Mara to stop. The chariot slowed down to a stop, merely a few metres away from Yamato and his demons. Miyako slide off her large demon, looking a bit roughened up but otherwise, she's fine. Her hand was resting on her katana's hilt.

"...Yes, a rather strong opponent."

Which severely bugged her, as her instincts all but told her she would lose. However, her annoyance was briefly pushed aside as she stared at Yamato. "However, that's not what's important right now..."

There's an odd but dangerous tone to her voice, before Miyako's katana unsheathed and she pointed it at him.

"Yamato, ready yourself."

Yamato's demons tensed up again, and he lifted up his phone automatically at the blade pointed towards him. Although Miyako was prone to springing surprise spars on him, this was hardly the time or place - and she normally gave more warning than this! At the very least, they didn't fight in the middle of the street, with dangerous, crazed humans and beasts everywhere.

"Miyako? What's the meaning of this?!" he snapped, an uneasy feeling settling in his stomach. Cerberus pressed closer to his side, the demon letting out a low, confused growl. Honestly, Miyako was not acting like herself... randomly attacking him. Why? What purpose...

"I want to utterly defeat you." It's a simple reason. While she did seek out strong opponents to fight earlier in the 13th Hour, there was only a few people she want to overcome. Yamato, whose shadow she had to live under until his declaration for meritocracy, and Alcor, for his influence in their life and their loss against him. "Tell your demons to back down, now."

Normally, she would stick to their typical spars, rough but ultimately non-life threatening, but Miyako's not being her normal self. She seemed...almost obsessive.

Shit.

Was this an effect of the Zodiac event? No... if it was, wouldn't Yamato be affected himself? He felt perfectly fine, and he was Gemini just like Miyako. Ugh, he didn't have time for this! He had to ensure that those of the Cancer sign weren't going to be mobbed by crazed infected again. Kaito could be in danger again, like last time, and if Miyako stalled him due to some... crazed notion of defeating him...

"Apologies, sister, but no," Yamato said coldly. "I don't have time to deal with your ridiculous antics. Stand down. Now," he snarled, taking an aggressive step forward. This kind of behaviour - by the laws of the Hotsuin, the lower ranked members must obey the higher ranked. As Yamato was sitting pretty at the very top, his sister was to obey his orders when he gave them. It was a kind of pack mentality, but it served its purpose well.

When Yamato take that first forward, Miyako didn't back away or lower her sword. She stared at him with outright defiance.

"No."

On any other day, when she's thinking clearly and unaffected by the Zodiac, Miyako would obey. She would realised by now that Yamato has important matters to attend to tonight.

Unfortunately, she's too focused on what she want and directly disobey his orders as a result. Miyako don't give a shit right now, basically.

"I won't stand down, brother. You'll have to force me to."

"Insolent...!"

Yamato didn't hesitate. Cerberus lunged forwards, barrelling directly towards Miyako as Yamato pressed down on his phone. The sky split open with a wailing shriek, the force of Judgement crashing down on Miyako and Mara - swiftly followed by the brutal attack of Holy Dance from Remial.

He didn't hold back in the slightest. It would greatly injure Miyako, but it wouldn't kill her. It would serve as a good lesson not to interrupt him with foolish antics next time.

Miyako quickly reached for her phone, just as Cerberus lunged for her. The familiar magical Makarakarn barrier appeared over both her and Mara, reflecting Judgement's light away and back at Yamato's team. Unfortunately, even if the now vanished barriers stayed, they did little to protect her and Mara from Holy Dance's harsh blows.

"Tch...!"

Recovering from the attack, Mara's form straightened up and attempted to push Cerberus off his summoner. Miyako may be strong, but she couldn't push away the large beast's weight and size. She just need one short moment to summon Norn to aid Mara. Then she can deal with her brother while her demons hold back his.

Yamato and Remiel stoically tolerated the rebounded flare of Judgement, and he began to run. Remiel flew from his side, the angel's hands glowing with power as it focused its second round of Holy Dance upon Mara, while Cerberus attempted to latch its jaws onto Miyako's forearm, fangs snapping and ripping at her sleeve.

His sister would have to suffer the pain of being ditched, sadly. Yamato had more important duties to deal with, and they didn't include her... so Yamato ran past the brawling demons and Demon Tamer, and down the street. He needed to find Kaito...!!

Miyako gritted her teeth and quickly pressed a button on her phone, just as Cerberus's fangs get dangerously close to her sleeve. A short moment later, Norn came out and struck hard at Cerberus. If only she can use her spells, but unfortunately, she's unable to use Mabufudyne.

Mara bore the brunt of Remiel's Holy Dance, his pain and injuries alleviated by Norn's healing spell. Miyako quickly glanced over at Yamato, seeing him running away from her. Completely unamused by it all--which Yamato may sense--she picked up her dropped katana and attempted to chase after him.

Cerberus was slammed off of Miyako, and the beast roared in defiance - only to, oddly, turn and run after Yamato, leaving Remiel to stall Mara and Norn with rapid fire Holy Dance - and the occasional Drain. All too soon the beast overtook Miyako and drew up beside Yamato.

Who then, with clearly experienced moves, leapt upon the demon's back like the beast was his steed. Fingers tangled into Cerberus's mane, and legs tight around the beast's waist, Yamato spared a quick glance over his shoulder and smirked. As fast as Miyako may be, she was no match for the speed of a retreating Beast demon.

She don't have a Beast demon on her--her favoured one, much less--and upon seeing what's going on, Miyako did the next best thing.

With her phone out, Norn returned fire with Force Dance's powerful winds. Moving back, Mara steered his chariot and drove it towards Miyako, picking her up with one of his tentacles once he's close enough. Straddling the Tyrant's back and gripping the demon with her gloved hands, Mara immediately chased after the retreating Cerberus, possibly leaving behind wheel marks.

Yamato 'tch'd quietly, looking away from the pursuing Miyako. She could chase him all she liked, the Beast demon was second only to Wilder-class in terms of speed. He dug his heels in a bit more though, and Cerberus put on an extra burst of speed, its claws gouging shallow grooves into the tarmac as it skidded around corners.

Yamato recognised his surroundings quickly enough. They were going towards JP's HQ. Cerberus probably though - tch, Miyako had access there! Yamato needed to find Kaito anyway, not Fumi (she'd be useless anyway in her state). He yanked at Cerberus's mane, and the demon growled, darting down a narrow street away from the JP's HQ-

Into a sprawling street where Yamato spotted Kaito being hauled off by an obviously possessed Io.

Oh.

"Kaito!"

One would think that Kaito would have freed himself by now, but there's clearly something preventing him from doing so.

He also started up his desperate yelling again when he noticed that Yamato was there, so he definitely abandoned his cool, unbotherable facade a long time ago.

"YAMATOOOoooooooo!!!" Shit, they're getting away!

Oh, this could hardly get any worse. This is exactly what she was trying to prevent. She'd noticed how interested Yamato had been in Kaito from the beginning, and that obviously meant that he had some kind of romantic affection for him.

This. Would. Not. Do. And for that reason Io simply, wordlessly, starts running faster.

Hearing his shout, Miyako immediately spotted Kaito and Io once she's close enough to see them.

Hmph, too bad, Yamato. Kaito Watari seemed a bit preoccupied to help you escape from her.

The golden chariot behind Yamato continued to chase him and Cerberus.

This was the very last thing Yamato needed for fuck's sake.

With Miyako charging up behind him, and Kaito being hauled away by a possessed Nitta, it was obvious that there was going to be a messy conflict. If he ran away, Kaito would be stolen, yet he could lose Miyako after a while, and possibly double back to find him. Cerberus has a strong sense of smell. On the other, if he chased after Kaito, he could rescue him immediately, even if it meant he would have to fight both Nitta and Miyako at the same time.

If this had been any other time, Yamato would have abandoned Kaito to rescue him at a later date. As this was during 13th Hour, where Yamato's obsession with Kaito was ramped up to eleven, Yamato did the stupid thing.

Cerberus exploded after Io, the beast's powerful speed swallowing up the distance between them at an alarming rate, uncaring of Mara roaring after them. With a flip of his phone and a rapid edit to allow-

Zandyne. The howling tempest crashed around Nitta immediately. Sorry Kaito, but Yamato had confidence that you could survive a direct Zandyne attack.

It looks like the Persona she picked up while 'brainwashed' would come in handy after all. The buffeting winds had little effect on Io herself, thanks to that.

Crush him, urged the voice in her mind drowning out all else.

Omoidon appeared from her in a surge of red haze, and its power created a wall of stone around him.
