Summary: Due to drawing an unlucky fortune, Miyako found herself being mistaken for Yamato for three days, no matter what. She was not amused.

MAY 7TH-9TH
[After the festival, Miyako found herself being looked at rather oddly on the 7th. She paid no attention to it, continuing on with her day. It’s only when she’s buying some spare clothes that she gained some questions.]

”Sir, the men’s clothes are over there.”

...What?

[Unknown to Miyako at first, people will perceive her as Yamato Hotsuin. While she wouldn’t be surprised if people mistook her at first, the fact that they keep on seeing her as him, regardless of how she dress for the day. Even if Miyako’s feminine body should be obvious to anyone –she avoided wearing loose clothing that can easily hide her curves and such these days—they still mistake her for a guy.

On the 8th, it’s a rainy day. Miyako headed toward the training facilities on the Pisces apartment’s fourth floor. By now, most people have gotten used to seeing her around and using the training facilities. Unfortunately, the strange spell over her mean they don’t see her as Miyako.

This will lead to her receiving both curious glances and questions from them.

By the time she realised people see her as Yamato Hotsuin, her mood soured even more than normal.

On the 9th, she quickly make her over towards the library in Aquarius District. There was a number of things she’s been meaning to look into. This bothersome situation only added itself onto that list.]

For the next week (7th-14th)
[Whenever she head outside during the 13th Hour, Miyako notice how the monsters acted...far more agitated than normal whenever she approached them. It’s curious, since something must’ve set them off.

It makes her wonder if they feel challenged by her presence. With a slight tilt of her head, she simply gave the orders to her demons—Tyrant Mara and Megami Norn—and initiated her training by attacking the demons.

After what happened when people see her as Yamato, she’s in a notably sour mood.

However, if anyone encounters her on the 10th or further, her mood will be mostly calmed down by then. Unless they choose to remind her of what happened earlier in the week.]

[Suddenly, a Mabufudyne spell appears above the demons and slam down onto them.

"Yamato" can be seen walking over towards them, in particularly no hurry at all. But "his" footsteps are brisk and tense, as "he" give the demons an unamused look.

Because frankly, this training session of hers is another excuse for Miyako to vent.]

[She looks surprised, but only for a moment. There's the fight to focus on and all. As the remaining demons begin to rear up for another attack, Aoi raises her hands, her skin glowing with gash-like marks as she creates a barrier to deflect their abilities entirely.]

[Now that's new. Those markings rouse Miyako's curiosity, but at the moment, these pesky demons need to be dealt with.

With her phone still open, Miyako cast Mabufudyne again. For any demons that dare to get close, she would draw out her sword against them.]

[Between the two of them, the demons have no chance. Assaulted by both Magarula and Mabufudyne, they are quickly wiped out. Aoi breathes a sigh of relief, the markings having vanished once she stopped relying on her other power.]

Thank you for helping me out, Hotsuin. For some reason, I've been getting swarmed lately...

The demons are attacking me as well. Judging from their behaviour, they're agitated for some reason.

[She looks up at the dark sky, checking the moon. They're just a couple of days away from the new moon. If it's almost the full moon, that would be understandable...]

I wonder what it could be? It isn't as though there were any predictions of unruly demon behavior...

It's a power my friends and I gained at home. You may not have heard of it, but... It draws on the power of something called the Dragon Stream.

People here usually think I'm injured when I use it, but I'm really fine.

Tell me more about it. How it works, how did you gain the power...

[Because Miyako couldn't draw on the Dragon Stream here from her own world. It makes her wonder about the technical details and differences.]

[That was an unusual reaction. Normally people didn't exactly recognize it when she spoke of it.]

Well... Even I'm not very clear on how it works. But the reason we gained our powers was because the Stream had been disrupted by the presence of demons in the world.

Do you know of something similar in your world?

Yes. The Dragon Stream is the flow of chi underneath the land. My family watched over it as a part of our duty.

My own family was not involved in watching over it, but I know of others who are.

I'm not surprised. If other worlds have the Dragon Stream, it's only natural for people to know of it, however few there are.

Many more people knew of it than I thought... Although I only found out earlier in the year, when I first received my power along with my friends.

Yes, that's right. There was a person who was summoning demons using the Dark Arts, just so that he could disrupt the Dragon Stream.

[And in doing that... awaken a certain power he desired.]

Fools... Is the Dragon Stream in your world responsible for the protection of Japan?

It's not just that. If the Dragon Stream is disrupted, more than just Japan will suffer.

And by disrupting the Stream, you can cause... changes. I mentioned my friends, but we weren't the only ones who received powers when that occurred.

It's hard to describe them all, but... As you saw, I have the ability to create barriers now, and also move things with my mind. And beyond that, all of us are much stronger and sturdier than a normal human. Reaching the top of a skyscraper in moments isn't difficult at all for any of us.
