Who: Zoe Gallais and OPEN
Where: Aquarius district, Tuesday night
Summary: Zoe thinks it's time to awaken her Persona. So wandering out during the 13th Hour on her own is clearly the best plan.
Warnings: Demon fightings, persona awakenings and bratty mage alert.

[Zoe had only been here for a couple of days, but she is the impatient type. And she had watched how the 13th hour occurred and she knows how to fight and she has her lance with her, so it wasn't like she was going in completely unprepared.

She may have overestimated herself, however, especially when she came across a group of these monsters, and she was stuck using her lance to push them back more than attacking. But she had to keep trying, she had to- ]

- Come on! [And then her Persona appears in a flash of light above her, and takes care of some of the monsters with a few Kouha's. Zoe just stares at the sparkly rainbow butterfly for a moment.]

P-Petit Arc-en-ciel! So that's where you were! ... In my head. [Blink. And then she shrugs, shifting into a battle stance again. There is still a large group of monsters left, so she's starting to regret going out on her own now...]

Oh, really? Then this will be easy. Garu!

[The wind attack cuts down a monster as Zoe stabs at another one. Luckily Zoe is quick on her feet, so it's easy enough for her to dodge and slash through the monsters.]

[She seems to have this well in hand, so Fumi's just going to spend some time analyzing Zoe's Persona a little more.]

[Once she and her Persona take down the rest of the monsters, she pauses to catch her breath and rest her lance on her shoulder.] And that is done!

... Hmm, how were you able to tell all of that information? Is it a skill your Persona has?

That's right. Vapula is a support type. Light on combat, heavy on analysis. I'm told they're somewhat rarer than pure combat types.

And mine must be on of those pure combat types. Huh, these Personas are interesting...

[She chuckles to herself before glancing around.] And so were those monsters. I've never seen anything like those before, and I had stumbled across my fair share of gremlins back home.

There are all sorts of monsters in this city. I believe they arrived here in the same way as we did. You may eventually see some creatures from your own world.

From my world? Well, so long as none of the demons or angels are brought here, it shouldn't be too problematic.

Demons aren't terribly problematic to begin with, at least in my own experience. I haven't dealt with angels before.

I wish the demons you experienced were in my world then, they tend to be fond of causing mass destruction, and so are the angels. Luckily they lurk in their own realms more often than not.

No, that sounds almost exactly like our demons.

[Zoe pauses, before giggling quietly.] Well, it's nice to know some things don't change.

They're not so bad if you know how to tame them.

They can be tamed? I know powerful mages back home can summon them for power, but never tame them.

They can. I have two of them here with me, in fact.

... Would you mind showing me?

Of course.

[Fumi pulls out a high-tech cell phone, tapping a few buttons. Lightning crackles from the display to the ground, and in its wake there are now two demons sitting to either side of Fumi, patiently awaiting her commands.]

[Zoe just stares in shock at the demons for a moment, before blinking.]

That... That's incredible! How were you able to do this?

The summoning is accomplished through a series of digital protocols designed to mimic ancient demon-summoning rituals and condense them into the form of raw programming code. The program itself sends a unique waveform signal cross-dimensionally, passively drawing accumulated magnetite from our surroundings to recreate the demon's form in this world. I suppose in many worlds it would be considered OOPArts or perhaps even mislabeled as magic, but the science behind it all is really quite simple.

[Blink. And then Zoe nods slowly as she thinks over what Fumi just said.]

Hmm, I see, and that's how you can summon them with that... cell phone, I'm guessing.

... What is magnetite though? I've never heard of anything like that. Is it some sort of energy source?

Oh, good, you followed all of that. There's nothing I hate more than dumbing down an explanation. As for magnetite, it's what makes up the physical body of a demon.

I thought it was pretty easy to understand. [Though Zoe can be sharp when she isn't being weird.]

And I see... Maybe when I return home, I can ask some of the demon specialists if something similar to that exists in my world.

You shouldn't necessarily expect it to, but it would be an interesting comparison study.

Hmm, it would be... If I may ask, what are the name of your demons?

Tao Tie of the Vile race, and Feng Huang of the Avian race.

[She gestures in turn at the sheep and the firebird.]

Of course, those classifications were largely imposed upon them by humans.

I see, I see... My, this is interesting. And the demons go along with these classifications?
