So you want to be a master?

Who: Atomic Robo and any who want to notice.
Where: Aries Ward; at the delta near The Hülle Granz Cathedral.
Summary: Robo is confused, agitated and for some reason is fishing. He's waiting for the 13th Hour.
Warnings: First Persona use during the 13th hour.

[Before the 13th Hour]
Robo is sitting near the coast. Having spent some of his meager stipend on a fishing rod and some bait, he's just idly casting his line into the water and coming up with nothing. Along his strange habit to wear clothing, he also is wearing a sun visor. A large revolver is holstered at his side and a strange looking rifle attached to some sort of battery pack sits nearby.

He glances to the sky now and then, as if thinking about something or expecting something to fly overhead. So far, though, nothing disturbs him. Not even fish.

[13th Hour]
Robo has the rifle in hand as he faces off against another strange robot. Taking aim, he turns the knob on the battery pack to 3 before pulling the trigger. A bolt of electricity fires from the rifle and slams into the poor robot. The blast isn't quite enough to drop it in one hit, so he takes aim again.

"Come on, faint already."

Wait, why did he say faint? That moment of confusion keeps him from firing his second shot right away.

Then it calls for help. As his next shot puts the thing down, 2 other robots appear on the scene. They attack with their lightning rods, striking Robo and making him unconsciously drop his rifle. He staggers away from them shaking his head and drawing his pistol.

"Ow, ow, ow. Okay, I had that coming."

As they charge him again he attempts to retreat. His leg isn't working quit right though. When he realizes he isn't getting anywhere he turns to hold his ground against the two robots. Bringing his pistol up and hoping bullets make a difference here.

"I am not breaking down on some strange world because two jerks with beef against each other thought they'd play games. This is not how this ends."

And then it happens. His agitation along with the confusing memories swirling in his head break his focus and resistance. The powers release from him. The card floats down from the sky and hovers in front of the barrel of his gun. He glares at the Tarot card as it spins in place. It's the Justice Arcana. He fires a shot which shatters the card. Behind him in a burst of lightning appears a an old man, in an outdated suit, with strange gloves.

"If you simply desire fish, and not the act of catching them, I am told the Imperial Army regularly procures fish simply by throwing a frag grenade into rivers or ponds and collecting the fish killed by the concussion of the blast."

Garviel gestures towards one of the grenades at his own belt.

"While I am familiar with the concept of relaxation through my hypno-induced training, it isn't something we particularly need, beyond the occasional four hours of sleep."

He takes his hand away from the grenade, assuming an answer.

"I suggest reading. That always works for me."

He cocks his head at the strange being, not realizing he was so enhanced.

"Vulgar stories of history and wars past. Ones that... are lurid, I suppose. Daemons and monsters and other things that science cannot account for. Things like the chronicles of Ursh, or other stories of pre-unity war."

He shifts slightly, and says, "My brothers say I'm something of a storyteller myself."

"It is mostly what I have known, but I have other stories, yes. Stories of giant hats, for example."

There is a degree of amusement conveyed by his voice when he mentions the hats, and a shift in stance.

"Yes. They were worn in a celebration after we had a peaceful compliance on a world that we had rediscovered and returned to the Imperium. It was a local tradition, or so I'm told, and quite odd. They were so large as to be carried on sticks above the heads of the people who were having the festival."
