[OPEN] A sickness cured
Who: Kairi and Naminé and then Kairi and YOU
Where: Hospital
Summary: Kairi finally wakes up from her rather impromptu nap.
Warnings: None for now!
[5/20/13: Closed to Naminé]
There was no indication prior that anything had changed in Kairi's condition, just a sudden squeeze of her sister's hand as she jolted upright in her bed, eyes wide and sweating bullets as her heart monitor beeped wildly. A nightmare, nothing the two girls hadn't had extensive experience with, and the stark white walls surrounding her certainly didn't help matters in the least; in past experience, waking up in a place that looked and smelled like a hospital meant Facility. She tightens her grip on Naminé's hand subconsciously and grasps at her medical gown over her heart with the opposite, bunching the fabric as she pressed her fingers against scar that laid underneath and itched with phantom pains.
"No, no, please no, not Facility..."
Her voice is slurred and groggy, eyes struggling to focus and push back the blurred drowsiness as her heart monitor continued to beep wildly at her panic. She had finally escaped, no, she couldn't be back now, she refused...
[5/20/13 evening into 5/21/13: open to all]
Kairi was antsy to just get home now that she was awake, but considering she was the first of the refugees from Alpha Omega to ever come down with clone sickness here, the hospital still had quite a few questions to ask and some tests to run before they were willing to let her go again. After all, comas were nothing to laugh about or brush off; she couldn't complain too much about it though, considering they had expressed interest in helping them all fix what was wrong, including getting rid of their collars. But the girl was utterly done with sitting in a hospital bed (she had slept enough already, thank you), and had taken to doing stretches and exercises any time the nurses and doctors weren't looking to get the wobbly jelly out of her legs. She was bored bored boreeddd, and she could really use some company about now!

At the first signs of Kairi stirring, Naminé stands up and grips her hand tightly, watching her face intently. And when the machines start to go crazy, she releases a breath she feels like she's been holding in for the past three weeks.
"Easy, Kairi, easy," she soothes. "You're in Hinoto-Ri, not Facility. You're okay."

Her grip on her sisters hand slowly lessened as Naminé's words properly digested, and her surroundings began to more obviously reflect the less harsh nature of Hinoto-ri; despite the white walls, there were colorful posters and decorations all throughout the room, and a plant settled on the windowsill soaking up the rays of the sun from outside. Kairi lets out a long breath and relaxes her shoulders, heart rate back to normal and eyes more alert and focused. She turns to the blonde and smiles sheepishly, free hand pushing her sweat drenched locks out of her face a little.
"...Guess I fell asleep, huh?"

"Yes." She doesn't need to say that it scared and worried her. Kairi knows that already. "You slept for almost a month."

"Nnn, I had hoped that the clone sickness wouldn't be as much of a problem here as it was back there, but I guess that was wishful thinking... I hope I didn't scare or worry everyone too much." Kairi smiles a little, though it obviously wasn't a happy one. "What day is it today?"
The nurse arrives shortly to evaluate the situation, jotting down on her chart and informing them that various tests and checks would be necessary in the next day or two once they made the preparations, even though they knew what had caused the coma to begin with. They needed to make sure that she was healthy and assess if she needed any more care before she would be released, and there would be someone coming soon to bring something for Kairi to eat if she could stomach it. She adjusts her IV and monitors before wishing them farewell and leaving, warning the girls to leave all of her needles and attachments alone until they were given the okay to remove them. There would be various blood tests and checks in Kairi's future, but for now she had the time alone with Naminé.

"It's Tuesday. Everyone is fine, just concerned, of course. Let me tell you what's happened since you've gone to sleep."
She takes a deep breath. "First of all, more Facility people have arrived. Do you remember Lucy and Alex Mercer? They're here now. Alex used to be part of the clone sickness research team, remember? He's coordinating with some of the scientists so that we'll be better prepared next time one of us falls into a coma."
