Summary: Judas is out of the hospital, has found work as a salesperson in a computer store, and is celebrating his newfound employment like most other people: by looking to buy stuff.
Warnings: None so far, will edit if any serious topics come up in conversation.

[Judas is self-effacing and very good with technology; this makes him a wonderful fit for the service part of the Cancer district. If you're looking to buy something electronic, and relatively mundane (phones and computers, not weird gizmos) you might find that Judas is the guy in the uniform asking if he can help you.

Or you might find him in any other store examining all those weird gizmos. It's not as if there wasn't weird technological stuff in Judas's world, it's just that there wasn't so much of it all in one city, as far as he knew. Some of the stranger contraptions throw him off a bit... But he eventually nods and writes down on a pad of paper details about everything that catches his eye: price, pros, cons. Then he'll leave without buying anything just yet.

He's windowshopping today. If he'd been a careless spender there's no way he would have been trusted with the disciples' money.]

It sounds like you're very fond of them...

I am! [She smiles softly, her voice taking on a fond tone.] Memere and papi and pépère helped mama to raise me since papa worked away a lot. It was also thanks to them I managed to find a good teacher for my magic.

You're a very fortunate person.

[papillonmagique]

[She shrugs lightly.] My family was all I had for most of my life... But they were incredibly good to me and made sure my childhood was happy, despite how people viewed us.

[silvercoins]

May I ask... how people viewed you? Or, maybe I should ask about it later in private.

[papillonmagique]

I don't really care if anyone here knows, it's not as if it wasn't common knowledge back home. [She flips her hair over her shoulder, hmph-ing to herself.]

They viewed my family and I as dangerous and people to be wary of, mages who could not control their magic. This was due to my ancestor summoning a demon which caused much damage... You can imagine my... incident didn't help much either.

How is any of that your fault? You are not your ancestor.

[papillonmagique]

Because my family has always had strong magic and headstrong mages, so people were worried of repeats. The fact I did what I did made things worse, reinforced their beliefs about us.

How are you supposed to make up for that if they shun you?

[papillonmagique]

I don't know... [And it's obvious that it upsets her, before she covers it up again.]

But I'm hoping fixing my mistake will be the first step. And then I'll keep working to show that they're wrong about us. My papa's work in healing magic has made their views about us less... critical, so I just have to keep trying from there.

... Thank you, Judas. [She takes a breath before turning to face him properly.] A-anyway, where were you planning to look next?

Cooking tools were on my list.

Oh, that sounds interesting. [And relevant to her interests.]

A well-stocked kitchen pays for itself.

Of course! ... Though I'll need your help in telling what the more complicated tools do.

I don't mind, but aren't there employees for that as well...

I don't live with them though, do I? You would have a better idea of what we do and don't need.

Until one or both of us leave, or until you get tired of me. Whichever comes first.

I very much doubt that. If I haven't gotten tired of you now, then I won't get tired of you at all.
