▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

 

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

There had been a relative peace last month, apart from the fairy menace. The city was continuing to rebuild itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new opportunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little memento from home.

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefully anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independent log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona ONCE PER IC WEEK, but not in the same thread IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES: The creatures have to be in the Bestiary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

Were you training?

Oh, yes! I thought I would give it a try. I still have my Persona for fighting anything that's too hard for me to beat on my own, but I thought it would be good to practice on the weaker ones.

[poppetstrings]

Right... Be careful around the Heartless though.

[She wouldn't like it very much if you lost your heart. Not that she has a heart. :|]

Do you want to team up tonight, Xion-san? You could see how I'm doing with my keyblade practice, and maybe we can get our Persona to come out again too.

Sure, I don't mind. [Then she can also keep an eye on Nano, and make sure nothing happens to her. The persona bit is still a little confusing in her head, but maybe if she can get it to come out again then she can see exactly what it's capable of..]

Should I follow you, then?

[Nano's holding her keyblade at the ready, just the way Xion showed her.]

Are you sure? I don't know my way around as well as you do. Maybe you should be leading me around.

All right, that's fine with me.

[Nano looks around nervously for a moment.]

But do you mind if we go to a different district?

[poppetstrings]

Well.... I guess not, but why do you want to leave? Are there more monsters in another area?

[all_wound_up]

W-well, it's just that I've heard there's a lot of crime in this area...

[poppetstrings]

If you're worried, I can protect you.

[all_wound_up]

All right.

[Nano's still worried, but she nods without hesitation.]

I trust you, Xion-san.

[poppetstrings]

I'll make sure nothing bad happens, okay?

[To prove it, Xion summons her keyblade to her hand, still grinning.]

Lead the way.

[all_wound_up]

Okay! Let's go, then.

[Want to pick out a Heartless for them to fight?]

[poppetstrings]

Right!

[Is she getting a little excited? Maybe. She hasn't really been able to properly hunt heartless as much as she likes, the 13th hour only lasts so long, and she has a big quota to fill.

Hopefully Nano's own keyblade will help her out, even if it's just an imitation. Especially since there are some dark shadows making their way out of a nearby alleyway not too far from where they started.

They're Nova Shadows, Xion has seen them before, and knows they pack a punch. The problem is, they don't have any hearts to collect because they're not emblem heartless.]

Come on, ignore those ones.

[It doesn't really register that the Nova Shadows might go after Nano. Xion doesn't have a heart, so they wouldn't be interested in her at all (despite game mechanics).]

[all_wound_up]

All right...

[Nano suspiciously eyes the Nova Shadows, and upon locking eyes with them, they come swarming out of the alleyway and directly toward her.]

A-ahhh! X-Xion-san! I don't think they want to let us go!

[poppetstrings]

H-huh?

[She clearly wasn't expecting that! But she's quick to respond, at least. Putting herself between them and Nano. Xion can't figure out why they'd go after them. Nano's a mechanical construct, and she's a Nobody. There's no heart between them, is there?

Maybe they're just really aggressive ones.]

Just stay behind me, okay?

[all_wound_up]

Okay. Be careful!

[Nano's just going to go ahead and take out R.O.B. - just in case Xion needs some backup with these things. Wasting no time, she casts a Bullet Time effect on her, speeding up Xion's actions so she can attack twice this turn.]
