▼ When it is darkest, men see the stars...(13th hour)

 

The night sky once again turned red as the 13th hour hit the city. By now it was almost too easy to accept it. The moon (or what was of it up there) shone, affecting the monster population in subtle ways.

There had been a relative peace last month, apart from the fairy menace. The city was continuing to rebuild itself, and with the aid of the Visitors, progress was going swiftly.

By now, even the strange events which had happened almost seemed a little too common. The pulls from a new building, or the odd creatures that showed up and increased the population for that hour gave rise to new opportunities; both good and bad.

To keep the population safe, the mayor had asked the city to stay inside and let the city police and Visitors do their job, despite the dividing population on this issue. For the most part, there wouldn't be much resistance.

Each night, the sky was always filled with at least one or two signs of something new, and people were ushered inside buildings as much as possible.

Who knew. Maybe tonight you'd get a little memento from home.

You're not in your homeworld anymore. That much is evident. So how do you feel? Happy? Sad? Troubled? A little of all three? No matter what, the memories of a butterfly man named Philemon are fading like a dream; you'll remember the details, but perhaps not everything he has said. What time you showed here seems to be as random as everything else; if you were lucky it was during the day, if not, well the 13th hour was rather dangerous. Fortunately, there was a high chance you'd be spotted quickly.

...hopefully anyway.

There is one word that stays with you, however.

Persona.

So...here to save the city, huh? First you'll need to find out more information. And who knows, maybe a familiar face or two...

[ This is a dual log, both 13th hour, or newcomer posts.

This will be up to you on what you want to do; start a new post where you can character's name and OPEN and write the days they'll be wandering during the 13th hour.

If you are a newcomer, write OPEN and what hour they arrived. It can be the 13th hour if you want too! You are, of course, not required to reply here. You can do your own independent log if you'd like!

Join other people's post, do some exploration, post them fighting monsters and just have some fun leveling up / interacting! For this log, you can level up persona ONCE PER IC WEEK, but not in the same thread IC-wise. Please do not abuse this. The conditions is that the fighting must happen on different days. The threads should be long enough that an attack is possible and shouldn't just be a few comments just for the sake of leveling up (Ie, we want effort in them, as much as you would with a normal log.).

If you submitted a building and it was accepted, feel free to start a post with them discovering it! The original owners who submitted will be the first to see them, due to a strange pull that made they feel like they NEEDED to go to that area. What they do with this information is up to them; they can contact others in their group, start exploring by themselves or allow the thread to be open for others to come in with them...it's all up to you. That next morning, the government will be coming over to analyze them (that will be done offscreen, however).

FOR THE CREATURES: The creatures have to be in the Bestiary for you to use them. You don't need to use creatures from your own home worlds either, as long as someone's put in a creature in there! Also, make sure your characters could logically take on the creatures you pick let's not have them take down a giant creature when they couldn't normally.]

[And here is Miyako with Chamunda behind her. Her eyes move from Fumo towards what's left of the demons. Or lack thereof.]

[Fumi smirks, nodding back to Miyako.]

Yes, that's right. I think I'm going to enjoy working with this one.

[She can scarcely hold back some light snickering laughter as she looks back at it.]

[She can see that. Miyako looks over at Fumi's Persona, curiously.]

What can they do? I know they're a combatant Persona.

Darkness and Fear related attacks, primarily.

And they also say ni.

[PFFFFFFFT]

[Darkness and Fear. Not a bad combination.]

Only "ni"?

No. Not just that. Also peng. And...

Neee-wom.

[There is a barely audible echo of neee-wom from one of the tiny men in the Viking helmets, and Fumi just loses it.]

[She really doesn't see how that's funny, but Miyako's waiting for Fumi to finish laughing.]

Should I assume it's their language?

[Fumi eventually just shakes her head, sighing.]

It doesn't matter. You ruined the joke. Never mind. Let's fight demons.

[Humour can be a hit or miss around Miyako.]

Very well. I need to exercise Chamunda's powers more.
[Miyako glance around the area. Hm, this area seems cleared out.] Let's find some more demons.

Lead the way.

[And lead on she will. While her sword's sheathed right now, she's grasping her phone inside her pockets.

Just at a fair distance away, they would spy a group of Shadows. Among them are some Lustful Snakes.]

They will do.

Three of them, hm? Well, no matter.

[Fumi, for her part, intends to proceed with her Persona for the time being, directing it to attack the group of snakes. The lead knight draws its sword and points it at the three of them, and the smaller ones run out to slash at them before returning to Fumi's side - a Vicious Strike attack. However, the snakes are still standing when she's done.]

It looks like these ones will actually put up a decent fight.

It would be boring if they didn't.

[With a silent command, Miyako have Chamunda boost the power of Fumi's Persona - a Tarukaja. The snakes are now gearing up to attack, with one of them aims a piercing attack at them.]

[Thankfully, Fumi had the foresight to at least have her phone active even if she's not using her demons directly for this particular fight. As a result, she's protected from the blow by Null Phys, and simply stands there with a bemused smirk on her face as the attack against her fails utterly.]

Or perhaps I spoke too quickly.

[With a breathy laugh, Fumi points at the snakes again, commanding her Persona to let loose another Vicious Strike. It would be silly to waste the attack buff from Miyako, after all.]

[The Vicious Strike succeed in taking down one of them, leaving just two of them left. One of them toss a Hama at one of them. After consulting RNG Miyako quickly move away from it, leaving the light spell to form the magic circle at where she used to stand.]

How persistent.

[Oh, sure, the light and dark spells are pretty dangerous if they get hit. But Miyako's always careful. Her amused smile never left her face, as she ordered her Persona to strike them with a Mazio.]

[One of the snakes falls to Miyako's spell, the other still up but looking pretty bad.]

Hmm. One left. Let's see how you like it, then.

[Holding her hand out once again, she directs her Persona to attack. The Knights' commander points its sword, and a magic circle similar to the one the snakes had just used appears - though this one is composed of darkness instead. The energy emanates forth from the pattern, swallowing the snake whole and dragging it down into the earth.]

Well, I suppose that's that.

[She knows what the spell is, recognising the magic circle from her training nights. Miyako looks at where the snakes used to be.]

For what it can do, it's not bad.

[Good job, Knights?]
