Who: Tachikoma and OPEN
Where: Anywhere, really, but most likely around the Apartment complexes
Summary: Tachikoma is sick and worried that one of the demon viruses survived in her

A few days after the demon virus outbreak was finally stopped, Tachikoma awoke to find herself feeling absolutely miserable. She felt tired and run down even though she got a full night's rest. Her throat hurt, her nose was runny, and she ached all over.

To her, this could only mean one thing: She still was infected by the demon viruses!! And now they were running amok in her cyberbrain! She needed to take care of this and fast!

But wait, she can't enter a virtual space inside herself! She's going to have to ask her friends for help. Or at least anyone who might be willing to take a look inside.

So this is why you might see an oddly dressed girl scurrying through the streets. Wearing a surgical mask to cover her mouth and nose, dark sunglasses to protect her eyes, and a large scarf wrapped around her neck several times despite it being the middle of summer. Or at least trying to scurry. Every once and awhile she'll stop to handle a sneezing or coughing fit before dazedly trying to figure out the direction she was heading towards. She's really not looking to good, she might need some help soon or she could end up collapsing in the middle of the street.

[Well, this is almost impossible to notice. And even with all the extra accessories, Tachikoma tends to stand out in a crowd, so Fumi has no trouble identifying who's making all the commotion.]

...What are you doing.

[Oh look! It's Fumi! She's extremely good with computer, maybe she can help! Her replies are slightly muffled by the mask she has over her mouth...]

I made sure to cover up so that I wouldn't infect anything else! I'm really glad I ran into you! I think I still have one of those computer viruses! I tried really hard not to use the networks when those demon viruses around, but now I think one survived in me because this morning I...I...I-CHOO!

[That was one very loud sneeze, it leaves Tachikoma in a disheveled state, the glasses she was wearing just hanging off one ear, and the surgical mask having fallen off.]

...Computer virus.

[Just... making sure that's what she thinks.]

[Tachikoma is fixing up the mask and glasses but begins to nod vigorously.]

Uh-huh! I woke up this morning feeling awful! And my nose is runny and my head feels all stuffed up! I think the virus is overflowing in my cyberbrain and slowing me down!

What you have isn't a computer virus. It's a human virus.

[Tachikoma stares at Fumi for a few minutes. Kind of like an old computer trying to actually start a program, there's a pause as she processes this information.]

...So I'm not in danger of infecting any networks and my cyberbrain is okay?

No. What you have is referred to as the common cold. It's a viral infection of the upper respiratory system, most typically manifested in the form of coughing, sneezing, sore throat, and a mild fever. As a viral disease, there's no treatment that isn't simply a targeted alleviation of the individual symptoms, and unless you're severely immunocompromised in some other way it will typically clear up on its own in seven to ten days. Drink plenty of fluids, make sure to get enough sleep, and avoid coughing or sneezing on other people so you don't spread the infection.

O-oh, okay. So fluids would be good? Like oil and coolant? And how would I know if I'm immunocompromised? I've only had this body since showing up in the city so I don't know anything about its medical history...

Maybe I should go to the hospital and get a check up to be sure...

[Tachikoma says the last bit a little dazedly, wobbling as she turns in the direction of the hospital. It seems the burst of activity has caught up with her. She manages a step before her body demands rest right now and she collapses.]

If you've been drinking oil and coolant this whole time, maybe you have more wrong than just a cold.

[Fumi sighs at that, but she doesn't have the chance to say anything else before Tachikoma is lying unconscious on the pavement.]

...Well, that's inconvenient.

[It's okay, Tachikoma might have been slightly delirious when she was thinking of oil and coolant. She knows perfectly well it's not healthy for a human to drink those things. Now anyways.

She's still out cold on the pavement though.]

[Fumi sighs again, taking out her cell phone and pressing a few buttons. Within moments, the demon Fenghuang appears.]

Carry her to the hospital.
